Witches Evening

Hey Bloggers, it's finally zombie day today is here. Boo! Horror, horror, abracadabra, trick or treat, the ghosts have come to town and the dead have risen, maybe, the pagans are out, the witches are here, the devils are here, the jack o lanterns are here, curses could abound. Ghouls, crows, vultures, black cats, spiders, goblins, zombies, mummies, skeletons, and demons are around. It's ritual celebration of something time. And that's such a cool photo of that devil and his pentacle above that I thought to post it in this entry for Halloween, All Hallows Eve, All Hallows Day, Day of the Dead, All Saints Eve, Night of the Witches or whatever you may want to call this what could be the coolest day of the year when everyone could be free to be who they want to be, maybe. If only every day could be Halloween. And that nonsense nyc event list, that list that is all events in New York City all the time sent out yet another event mail list for this week. And there are so many parties listed on this day for Halloween events that I thought to just repost them All.:

Halloween Critical Mass

Critical Mass, an international event held in more than 325 cities on six continents, occurs on the last Friday of every month when bicyclists spontaneously come together to ride the ordinarily car-clogged streets of their cities. Critical Mass focuses on the rights of bicyclists and the rights of pedestrians on their own streets. It also brings attention to the deteriorating quality of life -- starting with the toxic levels of air and noise pollution -- that cars create for cities. Critical Mass's aim is to make people take notice of cyclists as road users. Although some obstruction of normal traffic occurs, we are only seeking to raise the profile of cycling, and put cycling and transport issues on the agenda so that they will not be ignored.

This is usually a costume ride. Followed by a Halloween party ride at 8:40p on the Brooklyn side of the Williamsburg Bridge Bike Path.

The Postal Service Again

And this is actually one of those postings that I posted on this blog a while ago in my blogaholicness. And I thought to repost it again because, hey, yet another package has arrived in the mail shredded, ripped up, torn apart and patched back together again days, months and seemingly years later from the Postal Service ripping up packages that are suspect for something I guess. And does that United States Postal Service have the technology to xray mail for something so I've heard.:

What's up with that United States Postal Service Post Office? Or is it the Luftpost Postal Service, or is it the Deutsch Post Post Office, or is it just the postal service. I have heard of so many stories of packages arriving ripped and torn and inspected and interrogated and unbubblewrappedagated and customsagated and questioned and microscoped and repackaged again before they even arrive to their final destination. Are those cookies now an object to be feared? Is this a worldwide open your mail before it gets to you thing? What's up with that. Well I guess it great that the packages arrive to their destination with that sticker that says "Hey, I've been opened" than not at all. And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Happy Holy Dayze.

Violence

Violence. What does that word mean. And for what reason is this word a part of this world and society. Is there a greek, hebrew or latin translation for this word. What is the root meaning and origin of this word. Where does it come from. Does Wikipedia have an entry for this word. And this word is usually not a good word in any sense. And yet it is a part of this world and life on planet earth. And I found myself blogging about that word violence yesterday. And I find myself blogging about it again on this day. And there was an advertisement of a side of a bus I saw that read "I am anti violence and pro respect". And there was an article in the Metro Newspaper with a title that read "Study: Abuse kills many NYC women", that said something about 44 percent of all women murdered in New York City between 2003 and 2005 were killed by their intimate partners. And that is a scary domestic violence statistic to me. And there are countless headlines on a daily basis of people who have lost their lives to some form of gun violence or violence with no end in sight. And guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. And so this led me to ask myself yesterday and again on this day, is humanity inherently violent since the beginning of time with Adam and Eve, Cane and Abel and all of their descendants have inherited some sort of curse to crawl on their belly and suffer some sort of curse for disobeying God in that garden of Eden from the bible story thing. And it seems that as if every since the Bible days, if you believe, that the world has been in some sort of turmoil and brother against brother and man against man and king against king and nation against nation and wars and rumors of wars. And where is society headed today in what seems like to collapse of society and its morals to where it has now become acceptable for films with pornographic titles to be mainstream media. Is this all Kali Yuga and the iron age descending. And that could be a whole another blog posting. And will the world of planet mother earth never not be in some sort of turmoil until the end of time, if ever. Is another world free from and without violence possible. Peace and Love. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

The Midas Touch

And in between reading the days daily atrocities headlines of people who have lost their lives to some sort of violence that are too innumerable to mention, so much that it seems as if one can become numb to the amount of violence that occurs in the news on a daily basis with no end in sight these days and times of what seems like Kali Yuga and the iron age descending, and the moral collapse of society. And has humanity been inherently violent since the beginning of time. And these viscious cycles of violence in the news, this seemingly beast that feeds upon itself in some sort of way, is enough to have me not wanting to read the news. Is this some sort of curse of humanity from that Adam and Eve eat the apple from the devil and crawl on their stomachs and be cursed forever Bible story thing. And for some reason that prayer comes to mind "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take". Or something like that. And it seems as if some one should say some sort of prayer for humanity, the dead and the living on this All Hallows Eve day of the dead that is soon approaching. And as I was saying, in between reading the daily horrendous atrocity headlines of the day I found myself wondering, how can one have a work at home job when one is not at home working, and working somewhere else outside of the home. And that is one of those questions that occurred to me on this day as I attempt to blah blog my way to riches. And in other thoughts, someone mentioned to me that phrase "The Midas Touch", the other day as we were discussing the color of gold. And that person told me the story, a fairy tale story that I never really knew of where that phrase came from, as I thought it was from some commercial or something. And that story originates from a fairy tale about some King named Midas, who everything he touched, turned to gold. And I think that person said, the King even touched his own son, who turned to gold. And this seems as if it is one of those Wikipedia entries that I would like to read about this word Midas. And that is an interesting story to me. And I am on my way to that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia now in the internetland blogosphere to read about that word. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

This Optical

Hey bloggers, and this posting happens to be about eyeglasses, eyeglasses and more eyeglasses. And what can I say about eyeglasses that has not already been said. Well, every so often one may find themselves in search of them for their eyesight. And I know a lot of people are wearing them because every time I see people, someone is wearing them. And then sometimes one may find themselves going through great lengths to find and get those eyeglasses, as it can sometimes become a full time job going to what seems like a million different stores in search of them at prices that can be expensive and beyond. And one way to find glasses at great low prices is with Zenni Optical. Their prices can be a great help during these trying economic times where choosing between a pair of glasses and what to eat can be a trying decision. With Zenni Optical you can find stylish prescription glasses online for as low as $8. They have a huge selection of frames with many different lenses, shapes and styles. They have many different eyeglass categories to choose from. And those eyeglasses in that photo above is from their Women's fashion category and is a Tailored Fashion Acetate Full-Rim Frame. And with Zenni Optical, finding those eyeglasses online at great low prices has never been easier.

Everything Must Go?

And with headlines that read "Stock Market Plunges", "Dow Jones Down, triggering automatic freeze on selling", "Wall Street Dumping Stocks", "Asian, European Stocks Plunge", "NASDAQ suspends some listing rules", "Global Stocks Tumble", and and endless amount of stock market articles, it is enough to have me to wondering if the sky is falling and if the Wall Street New York Stock Exchange is having one of those everything must go going out of business sales with this roller coaster ride the stock market has been having in the news on a daily basis lately, seemingly during the same month as the changing of office of the presidential elections. And then what's up with that Uncle Sam guys name anyway. For what reason is he called Uncle Scam, I mean Sam. Does that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry for that? And then those 2012 on track doomsday images start coming to mind and that UPC bar code, social security number save no man that he may sell except he have the mark of the beast thing 666 anti christ thing appears in my conspiracy religious fanaticism thoughts again. What would Nostradamus, some prophet, guru, astrologer, numerologist and Alister Crowley have to say about this 777 stock market drop thing. And what does this all mean, if anything. Will there be no Christmas shopping ever again. Will the soup lines be for all now. And maybe everything could just be free in the world where no money is required. And maybe everyone could squat the world and live off the land for free. And whose idea is it that the land is for sale anyway, a basic necessity of human life. And for what reason does that word patriot have the word parent, traitor and riot in it. Or does it? And that National Debt Clock is broken and has ran out of numbers, the debt of something is so huge, so I read. And that verse from Timothy comes to mind again: "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

And abracadabra, their flyer says that some of this years performance artists will include: Penny Arcade, Judith Malina, Miguel Maldonado, Bina Sharif, Epstein and Hassan, Steve Ben Israel, Zeroboy, Rolondo Politi, Adriano Moraes, Loren Dunn, Jonathan Weber, Stan Rifken, Eve Packer, Judy Sky, Hot Lavender Swing Band, The Great Paprika Band, Joe Bendik, The Psychics and many many more. And this event spooky rocks. Happy impending zombie day of the dead grim reaper witchcraft day.

The NYC MTA

And if only that New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority could make its subway fares free for all of its subway and transit riders. And if only that New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority could banish all MTA Police from its subway system for the harassment and intimidation of its subway riders, farebeaters and anyone and everyone who does not pay fare for transportation, so that everyone could be free. And if only this freedom for everyone from the NYC MTA's subwaya tickets, summonses and its transit court could be possible so that the NYCMTA could avoid headlines like these that are appearing in todays Yahoo Headlines with titles and subjects that read something like "Another person gets arrested for fare beating and another person could possibly lose their life from gun violence for farebeating in New York City's subway system", for no reason at all, except for the fact that guns have been invented. And guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. If only guns could be banished from every person on the face of planet earth. If only the images of guns could be banished from all forms of pop culture, news, media, marketing, advertising, video games and toys. Does not advertising influence society? And it is a vicious cycle that feeds upon itself. And then what about subway trains, buses and other transportation systems around the country and world, how are they. And what's up with that social security UPC bar code number, save no man that he may buy or sell except that he have the mark of the beast thing. And there are other stories and atrocities going on in the news today too innumerable to mention that seems never ending in these days and times. No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible.

This Ode To Blogging

And for some reason I find myself posting that ode to blogging sometimes when I can not figure out what to blah blog about. And that seems like one of those timeless odes. And in other thoughts, I was watching Channel Thirteen the other day, that public broadcasting channel that seems to be the only educational channel to watch on television these days here in this Country in America. And there was a nature program on that was saying something about Australia has a drought problem, its ozone is the worst in the world and that no other continent burns as drastically as Australia. And does this say anything about global warming and helping to save planet mother earth. And among other things on this program, those palm cockatoo parrots seemed to be the most beautiful and intelligent birds. And in other thoughts again, here is that ode to blogging:

An Ode To Blogging(sung to the tune of "Mercedes Benz" by Janis Joplin)

Oh Google, won't you give me a PageRank quickly?
My friends all have Adsense, but you banned me.
Blogged hard all my lifetime, trying to make money,
So Google, won't you give me a PageRank quickly?

Oh Shoemoney , won't give my blog a big plug?
I post every day, but never get Dugg.
I like how you're bald, but don't wear a rug,
So oh Shoemoney, won't you give my blog a big plug?

Oh AGLOCO , won't you give up your little green scam?
Your members flood my inbox with lots of spam.
You know that I'm not your biggest fan,
Oh AGLOCO, won't you give up your little green scam?

Bloggers!
Oh Google, won't you give me a PageRank quickly?
My friends all have Adsense, but you banned me.
Blogged hard all my lifetime, trying to make money,
So Google, won't you give me a PageRank quickly?

Have a great blogging day.

A Halloween Bike Ride

And this day seems to be Sunday according to that Gregorian calendar. That day of rest, the Lords day, the day of God, or is that Saturday, the sabbath? And yet I still find myself blah blogging away on this computer for some reason. Abracadabra! And I picked up this flyer the other day at some store in that City of New York, that's all neon orange and black, the colors of Halloween I guess. And this flyer reads something like: Times Up. "Halloween Party Bike Ride". Wear a costume, Williamsburg Bridge, Brooklyn Side, meet at 8:30, Friday, October 31. Halloween After Party at the Surreal Estate, 15 Thames St. near the Morgan L stop in Brooklyn. Hey Bloggers, and it's events time again. And usually it's events time again because hey, it's less writing sometimes when I am trying to figure out what to blah blog about in my blogaholicness on this blog. And I received another one of those Jeff Stark nonsense nyc emails the other day, this really cool event list that seems to be all events in that City of New York all the time. And so one of their weekly events that they have listed for this week seems really cool if you happen to be in the neighborhood, is that:

The Drumadics

And somehow I found myself commenting today on the Drumadics page "Hey Drumadics, I'll be playing buckets today at 42nd Street Times Square if you want to come by and check me out", as if it is some sort of New York City subway musician battle of the bucket bands or something. Though I really do not think I will be playing buckets today at 42nd Street times Square. And that CMJ Music Festival must be happening soon. I know because The Village Voice , New York Press , L Magazine and a bunch of other publications says so. And as usual this CMJ music event seems as if it is the end all to be all of the music world when it comes to all indie rock music and more. And some of the scheduled performers for this years CMJ Music Marathon are:

This World

And every so often I find myself blogging about guns and gun violence, so much that I can repost those blog entries over and over in my appeal to end gun violence. And what would that National Rifle Association and Mayors Against Gun Violence have to say about this. Does Wikipedia have an entry for this. And guns have become so much a part of pop culture that is seems scary. If only guns can be banished from all forms of advertising, media, news and marketing campaigns. It seems as if every other advertisement whether it be a commercial, film, television or print, has an image of a gun in it. And it is scary. If only images of gun violence can be banished from video games, toys, clothing and every thing else pop culture. Is it Kali Yuga and the iron age descending. Is there hope for the world, society, its values and morals. And guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. And for what reason does that word patriot have the word riot in it, and what does parens patraie, father of our country mean, as I think this word is what involuntary slavery and servitude is based on, maybe, the idea that the state owns an individual. A man is born free but he is in chains, I read somewhere. And does that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry for this phrase. You see, when you have a gun you usually use it on someone else or yourself, and that is the hazards of having a gun, and this results in the seemingly endless amount of headlines that are generated on a daily basis of another person loses their life to gun violence with no end in sight. And there was a photo of someone holding a sign in the other days paper that read "guns, lipstick and glory" the other day at one of those election rallies. And does this sign advocate gun violence. I am only one voice, one blogger. No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Going Out Of Business?

And I am starting to wonder again about those 777, 733, 666, 999 and all things Armageddon and apocalyptic, 2012 on track things when I start reading those New York Wall Street Stock Exchange Dow Jones numbers headlines that have been in the news lately. And I find myself reading so many end of the world globalization, governmentation, nationalism of the banking industry and the new world order of the new world conspiracy theory websites that I find myself wondering to hide out under a rock or something. And then those religious fanaticism thoughts start arising. And is Wall Street having one of those going out of business everything must go sales during the same month that the presiding elections of that country of America happen to be taking place? Will everyone be in the soup kitchen lines now. Will there be no shopping for Christmas or any other day now. What would Nostradamus, Aleister Crowley, some astrologer, guru and that Internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have to say about this. Is the Antichrist here or near. Is it doomsday yet. Is the recession depression here yet. Is there some prophecy for this. Is there an entry for this. What does this all mean? And for some reason that verse arises to me again: "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". Have a great some sort of day.

Discrimination Nation

When tyranny ends, justice begins. And still when it seems as if the world is and could be falling down all around me and spinning out of control when one reads the news and the world news, I still find myself blah blogging away on this blog for some reason. And that Babylon tower of Babel unity, confusion story thing comes to mind on this day. "And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech...And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth...And the Lord said, Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech...Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth". And what's up with that Bible, that most widely read book of all time. Are these stories all true? If you believe. And so in these thoughts again, for what reason do those job applications, workplace applications, housing applications, and a lot of other applications that are passing me by at the moment, have that phrase that says something like: "This place does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, looks, clothing, hair, food and a list of other stuff", and then the check your nationality box if you are black, red, white, yellow, asian, orange, green, caucasian, african american, indian, purple, human, alien, animal, martian, plant and a list of other things on them if there is no discrimination or status quo at their venue. And what does status quo mean again anyway. A state of quota? A quota of the state? And a state of what? And for what reason does that word discriminate have the letters crime and criminal in it. What does this all mean, I cannot comprehend. Is another world possible. And what if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State.

A Day

And even when it seems as if the world is and could be falling down all around me, I still find myself blah blogging away sometimes. And the news says there are wildfires raging away in Los Angeles again. And this day also seems to be Columbus day, I know because the radio, the stores, the post office and libraries says so. And what does Columbus Day mean anyway, is that when Christopher Columbus discovered America and colonized it by violence or something and betrayed the Indians for twenty five dollars worth of trinkets, or is that Thanksgiving Day. Does that Internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry for this sanctioned holiday in that country of America. And in other thoughts, what exactly does that salutation phrase "Peace, love and granola" mean, as I heard someone say that the other day. And this days news seems to have Wall Street ending its going out of business everything must go sale, for the moment. And so I found myself watching television the other day, and it seems as if every other commercial was for a pharmaceutical prescription drug. Is it a drugged up nation courtesy of the American Psychiatric, psych cia trick Association. Psychiatry Kills. And what does that mean. And what, if anything does this have to do with a No Police State? Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

I know because a friend who went there today with The Himalayas Marching Band says so. And some of the bands and organizations marching and participating in this years festival are: Green Streets Initiative, the Open Air Circus, Bikes Not Bombs, the Boston Derby Dames, Veterans For Peace, Livable Streets Alliance, the Puppeteers Cooperative, Vermont’s Bread and Puppet Theater, Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass_Band, Hungry March Band, Brass Liberation Orchestra, MarchFourth Marching Band, Rude Mechanical Orchestra, Himalayas, Titubanda, What Cheer? Yin And Yang

And so what exactly is Yin and Yang whose images I placed in this blog posting. And what do those words mean. Do those words mean something in another language? Let me consult that Internet bible dictionary Wikipedia and be right back......
Okay, so I didn't exactly find out what those words meant in another language, though Wikipedia said it had something to do wit the word pinyin, whatever that word could mean. And it also has something to do with Taoism. Isn't Taoism an Eastern philosophy. Anyway, from what I know, I think it has something to do with the ideas that opposites attract and it is the order of the energy of the universe or something. It is some sort of ki force, whatever Ki could mean. It could be those five elements of the earth, air, fire and water. It is black and white, up and down, hot and cold, loud and quiet, start and stop, salt and sugar, light and dark, life and death. It is that harmonious flow of energy and balance. And what if one is out of balance. It is the sun, the moon, plants, air, water, food, animals, man, the cycle of the seasons, day and night. And opposites attract. And whatever this cool looking image could mean, have a great yin yang day.

A Holy Day

And today on this day is that Yom Kippur holy holiday of the Jewish calendar. I now because a friend told me so. And when I take a look at that Gregorian calendar that is sitting here, it says so too that sure enough October 9 has the words Yom Kippur written on it. And I am not exactly sure what this holiday is all about but I think it has something to do with Rosh Hashanah another one of those holy Jewish holidays that was I think last week and being a Jewish day of atonement and fasting and meditating at sundown for sin. And that is some sort of will indeed to fast before sundown. Repent, Repent for the kingdom is at hand and all have come short of the glory of God, or something like that. And these could be holy days indeed. And though I am not sure what more words to say about this holiday, I can only say Happy Yom Kippur and Happy Jewish New Year of the Jewish calendar year, though I did not even know that there was a Jewish calendar.

Musical Fashion

And I am not sure what to call the title of this post as I blah blog away on this day, though I do know it has something to do with music and fashion that I would like to blah blog about in this post. And so what's up with that Mary Poppins look that is on the streets these days when it comes to fashion with all of the clothing being either pleated, puffed, or Mary Poppined up in some sort of way. And those half sleeves that everyone is wearing everywhere on the streets that is to be found in clothing stores everywhere these days, I still can not comprehend as a fashion statement. And every era has its fashion trends I guess. And so that photo above with that trippy looking red color was taken by Sugarcane of East Village Pharmacy, and his cool amazingly high tech camera phone, is of Welf, Kevin, Joe, Kevin, Mike and Chris of Funk Monk, or Monk Funk as I have seen it listed on the Lucky Cat's website, with their horns and drums performing at The Lucky Cat as part of their Brooklyn Experiments series. And that Lucky Cat restaurant, bar and lounge is doing the go green it's the new thing thing, as they have vegetarian and vegan food and their delivery containers are made of biodegradable and or compostable materials. And their paper that covered that straw that came with that drink was an eco product made from corn and 100% compostable. And they are helping to save planet mother earth I guess. And they are located on that trendie indie rock scene street of Grand with all of its bars and clubs, in that trendy indie hipster rock scene neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn in that City of New York. And their venue rocks. And every decade of New York seems to have it's era, at least when it comes to real estate. Have a great music and fashion day.

Bailout Blues News

Hey Bloggers, and one would think that from watching and listening to this days Headline News, that the sky is falling as today's headlines around the world read such titles as "Another Traumatic Day", "Fed will provide up to $900 billion in loans to squeezed banks", "Markets Take Another Plunge", "Stocks suffer blowout as global crisis persists", "Markets Plunge To Lowest Level In Four Years", "Stocks Fall Amid Global Selloff", banks are in crisis and global markets are falling. And the list of these Wall Street New York Stock Exchange headlines goes on and on in the midst of what seems like a never ending series of other atrocious headlines all to innumerable to mention in this blog posting. And what does this stock market thing mean that has been in the news seemingly around the same time as the presidential elections. Will everyone be able to go christmas shopping this year? Is this the depression recession everyone may be in the soup lines at the same time thing. Does everyone have to start hiding their money and gold under a mattress and pillow now. And there seems to be such a global collapse of the economy and the debt of men of this earth in the news so much now that even the Federal Reserve and Treasure are having difficulty printing up enough money fast enough to cover it all. Is this 2012 on track, doomsday, the apocalypse. What would Nostradamus have to say about this or what would that Internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have to say about this stock market crash thing. And so maybe during those recession depression times, squatting and homesteading could arise, and living off the land could arise and everyone could be free from being wage slaves for the lords of the land. Whose idea is it that the land is for sale anyway, a basic necessity of human life. Housing is a human right. No one should work, everyone should relax, we could still maintain the land. Can the world become one big Rainbow Family for all nationalities of Babylon and humanity. And what is that Rainbow Family Native American Hopi Prophecy of the Rainbow Warriors all about that says the Rainbow Warriors will save the earth from environmental destruction. Is another world possible. No one is free while others are oppressed. Squat the world. And for what reason does that verse from the Bible come to mind again "For the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.
