Day of Labour

According to the Gregorian Calendar, tomorrow marks the beginning of Labor Day weekend in America. And at first thought, I would assume this is another American holiday that is observed only in America and no where else in the world. I guess it's meaning is what the advertisers say; back to work, back to school, end of summer, beginning of fall. And the word "Work" comes to my mind as I translate it's different meanings. "Work in Spanish, trabajar which sounds like trouble in English which sounds like travel in English which sounds like travile in French which translates to pain in French which sounds like pan in English which translates to bread in Spanish which is dollar in English which translates to dolores in Spanish which means pain in Spanish again." And so this translation makes me think it is all money, travel and pain again and this verse from the Bible comes to mind. "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". 1 Timothy 6:10. Workers of the world unite. And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Happy Labor day weekend.
