Anthem of the 1%

And somehow I came across this flyer with Anthem of the 1% on it from one of those Occupy Wall Street events or something that The Raging Grannies they were raging and singing at. And it's a tune that was written by The Raging Grannies. And those Grannies that rage seem to rage all things political and beyond. And this tune is so Anthem of the 1% interesting that I thought to repost it. And it reads:

Anthem of the 1%

(tune: Zip-A-Dee Doo Dah) words by Nora Freeman, Pam Drake and Sunny Armer, NYC-Metro Gaggle, 12/11/11

Zip-a-dee doo dah we're the one percent.
What a shame that you can't pay your rent.
You're on the street now, who the hell cares,
It ain't no secret, we don't like to share!

Zip-a-dee doo dah you've got no rights.
We'll stop and frisk you, you better not fight.
Empty your pockets, and show us the weed,
Didn't you know, we've got prisons to feed!

Zip-a-dee doo dah war is so great,
We love living in a fascist state!
Get in the army before it's to late, (March)
We'll fill the world with violence and hate!
          (Bridge)
     One-percenters want to tell you:
          It's the truth, It's natural,
          Everything is satisfactual!

Zip-a-dee doo dah, yum pepper spray.
It's just a condiment as Fox News would say.
Better not protest, or you'll find out why,
We love to spray it right into your eyes!

Zip-a-dee doo dah, greedy are we
Mean and small-minded we like to be
Helping the needy is so yesterday
We don't give a crap, just go a - way!
