Guest speakers will be civil rights attorney Norman Siegel, Missy Galore and NYC Dance Parade. An Ode To Blogging
I am lost in bloggerland these days. My MySpace addiction has now been replaced with a blogging addiction. I may need IAA (Internet Addiction Anonymous) in order to cope with this. I saw this poem on another bloggers website today and I thought it was pretty funny.
An Ode To Blogging(sung to the tune of "Mercedes Benz" by Janis Joplin)
Oh Google, won't you give me a PageRank quickly?
My friends all have Adsense, but you banned me.
Blogged hard all my lifetime, trying to make money,
So Google, won't you give me a PageRank quickly?
Oh Shoemoney , won't give my blog a big plug?
I post every day, but never get Dugg.
I like how you're bald, but don't wear a rug,
So oh Shoemoney, won't you give my blog a big plug?
Oh AGLOCO , won't you give up your little green scam?
Your members flood my inbox with lots of spam.
You know that I'm not your biggest fan,
Oh AGLOCO, won't you give up your little green scam?
Bloggers!
Oh Google, won't you give me a PageRank quickly?
My friends all have Adsense, but you banned me.
Blogged hard all my lifetime, trying to make money,

Sponsored Reviews
I like Sponsored Reviews, they are great. Sponsored Reviews is great because they sponsor reviews. And again, I am forever trying to figure out ways to make money online. Bloggers earn cash by writing reviews about advertisers products and advertisers generate buzz by advertising their products and services on bloggers websites in the blogosphere. And as a blogger I am still trying to learn new ways to market my blog, improve the page ranking for my blog to get more visitors to my site, and ways to increase that SEO search engine optimization factor, link building and lots of other things for a blog to be successful. Add I am still reading lots of endless online tutorials from other blogger websites on how to be a successful blogger at mybloglog.com of which sponsored reviews is also a member. One of the things I am still trying to figure out is how to build and maintain a blog audience. This seems to be a full time thinking job with no easy answer for me. I am forever creating and dreaming up new ways to do this. Sponsored Reviews blog has an easy answer. Their blog article 27+1 Tips for Building and Maintaining a Blog Audience has exactly that, 27+1 Tips for Building and Maintaining a Blog Audience. I may refer to this blog article every time I get get confused on how to maintain a blog audience and wander off path. I've posted in forums, advertised on craigslist and joined blogger communities. I've tried everything I can think of short of paying hundreds of dollars for an ad in the local paper or plastering posters everywhere on the street or running around with a billboard attached to myself and bullhorn in my hand yelling out my websites name, or even skywriting in the sky with an airplane. Sponsored Reviews blog article is pretty simple and easy to follow, they tell you how to compete with millions of other bloggers and how to develop an audience that consistently comes back to your blog. Their tips will get you going in the right direction. Have a great day.

The Collapse of Morality
The cover of today's am New York newspaper caught my eye. It said, "Washing their words, Rap mogul Russell Simmons to artists: Clean up your lyrics." Like other people, I have an opinion on that topic. Hip Hop and rap have come a long way since its origins in the 80's when Run DMC, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Mele Mel, the Sugar Hill Gang, the movie Beat Street and others had a more positive message. Now days rap lyrics can be explicit, full of the words "bitches and hoes" and the images of women used for promotional purposes can be degrading. It seems as if everyone is taking their clothes off and using sex as a sales tool these days. The images of drugs, guns, money, and bling can be starteling but so are other genres of music. It is now acceptable and commonplace for musicians to use violent images and references to violence to promote their music. What has happened to the language of respect? The terms, killer, murder, slayer, fight, punch, slap, kick etc; are often used by musicians and advertisers market and promote this content on their television programming to program, websites, print and media campaigns only adding to the phenomenon. This current debate about rap lyrics getting bad is only a small part of the bigger picture of the collapse of morality in society as a whole. Everywhere, the standards of social behavior are declining. Is there a worldwide moral breakdown? In the past blatant immorality and decadence has been pointed to as a contributing factor in the fall of civilizations, such as the Roman Empire. Are parents neglect a part of this western debauchery? And are the Churches contributing to this moral decline? Before in society we had a sense of right and wrong. Now we can do whatever we want. Pornography has planted itself firmly in the mainstream. Material that was once considered safe for an 18 plus audience is now often essential family viewing. Clearly, over the past few decades, morals have deteriorated and declined rapidly in many places worldwide. Where is this social decline pattern coming from? Are the slaughters of wars debasing the value of human life? If politicians and generals can treat millions under their care like animals dispatched to the slaughter, then what canons of religion or ethics can inhibit men from treating each other with the ferocity of jungle beasts. Where can one turn? Where is is world headed? And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Go Green
The earth is on fire. Planet mother earth is dying. It is being pillaged and plundered. Antarctica is disappearing. The polar bears are floating away on ice. Global warming, the greenhouse effect, Babylon on fire, overpollution, overpopulation, overoilism, overconsumerism, overcapitalism, overeverything. Here is a Hopi Indian Prophecy: There will come a time when the Earth grows sick and when it does a tribe will gather from all the cultures of the world who believe in deed and not words. They will work to heal it...they will be known as the "Warriors of the Rainbow". Go Green, it's the newest thing. Let us shine together to make our earth more beautiful. Here's wishing you a Happy Earth Day!

Random Thought of the Day
For what reason are violent and graphic images in film, music, television and advertising entertaining? Have the values of this world gone too far amok? Is it too late to reverse this collapse of morality in our culture and society? Is another world possible? And what does this have to do with a No Police State?
Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

The Land of Opportunity?
The land of opportunitiy, the land of the free? What does that phrase mean? How free are we? How free are we from oppression, from the oppressors? No one is free while others are not. I think. They call this place America, the land of opportunity. Where you can go to achieve The American Dream. But how free are we? And what does that quote on the plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me: I lift my lamp beside the golden door." mean? It's a phrase I think of everytime I am riding the train going my way during rush hour as I look around at everyone packed in the subway car like sardines in a can exhausted from work. It's a phrase I think of everytime I see persons in jail with no comforter and only the oppressor at his side. It's a phrase I think of everytime I walk down the street and see the homeless and the poor while the rich pass them by. It's a phrase I think of everytime I see immigrants unable to travel anywhere at anytime without a visa or a passport. And it's a phrase I think of countless other times that I cannot remember at this time. Is this the land of opportunity? What does that phrase mean?

Cell Phone Makeover Game
Cell phones are everywhere these days in all sorts of shapes, sizes, colors and designs to fit your style. If you are looking for a cell phone that's just right for you it can sometimes be a daunting task because there are so many varieties available. The new modern cell phone are often sleek and slim in design and can fit into the palm of your hand. Remember those sort of chunky, boxy cell phones from the 80's that were just a basic phone before they were more widely available as they are now with all of the fancy features like cameras, videos, email, text messaging and internet? I remember they were always in one color, black and sort of had that square boxy shape and now they seem nostalgic that it was so many years ago and rarely do you see anyone now with one these days. Well now there is this cool website at Makeover for Dusty http://makeover.yourwirelesssource.com/ where you can give that 1985 Motorola brick phone makeup, a makeover. You can create your own Dusty cell phone. That's right, you can sparkle and jazz him up any way you like with all sorts of accessories, glitz and bling. And the music on the website is really cool also. The Makeover for Dusty website is really fun. You can pick all sorts of things to add to Dusty; hair, eyes, mouth, really fun clothes, jewelry and other accessories. And there are lots of different, interesting places and backgrounds that Dusty can visit and hang out in also. Dusty can even go to the gym and work out if you choose for him to do so. And after you are finished creating and dressing your cell phone Dusty up, you can have your friends vote on him. http://makeover.yourwirelesssource.com/ has some pretty funny makeovers in their Dusty Photo Gallery. You can click on the stars and rate the competition. The Emeril DeDusty with the chef hat and cooking outfit is funny and the Dusty Knob looks really cool too. In addition to the 1985 cell phone makeover, you'll also get a 10% off coupon code for cell phone accessories. This is a sponsored review.
Sticks and Stones
There was a shooting in the news today that is in the news everywhere, and a lot of people perished. And there was a shooting in the news yesterday and a someone lost their life. And there are shootings in the newspapers everyday, everywhere by everyone. And we cease the lives of others and kill human beings on a daily basis. It is despair raging and it is a story that is told and will be told on a daily basis with no end in sight. Is there anywhere safe to live in the world anymore where one can not be shot? When a person has a gun, they use it to kill someone and more guns is not the answer. Whatever happened to the 6th Commandment? “Thou shalt not kill” (Exodus 20:13). The slaughter of war thoroughly debases the value of human life. Human life is a sacred gift from God. Whoever invented guns and gunpowder? Guns are the worst invention ever. And who invented the Second Amendment to the Constitution, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." That was the worst invention ever. What does The National Coalition to ban handguns and the National Rifle Association have to say about this? What do the gun lobbyists have to say about this? Can gun laws be changed? Is it possible that the world can go back in time to prehistoric ages before guns were invented and only sticks and stones existed? Is it possible to ban guns from every human being in civilization as a whole, for everyone to just throw their guns away so that we can all be equal? And is it possible for industries, stores and shops to stop selling guns, and media, advertisers, television, films, movies, commercials, photos, print and all forms of entertainment to stop promoting guns and images of guns , portraying images as if a person is cool because they are holding a gun in their hand? Is this not glorifying violence? Is there not moral values in society anymore? Does not media influence culture and society? Is it possible for editors to not devote the majority of their daily and evening news programs to crime and violence as if they are programing people and promoting more crime? And the firepower of video games are programming people to become killers. Is it possible to reverse this cycle, to reverse the collapse of morality in the world? Is the world too far gone? Is another world possible? On April 30th 2007, the Blogosphere will hold a One-Day Blog Silence in honor towards the victims of Virginia. 33 died at the US college massacre. Everyone with a blog can join this special event.

Who's Reading This?
As a blogger I have read to be careful and aware of what you write because someone may be reading it. I've read that if a blogger is blogging to make money online that there are certain rules and requirements for writing opportunities that a blogger should follow; writing content must be unique, a blogger must not copy someone else's content and writers should try and keep a positive tone. And in a whole another ball field and just as interestng and scary, I read this BBC News article yesterday, "Bloggers' search for anonymity", the internet has given the individual unprecedented power to reach out to millions but some governments are cautious, even hostile, to giving their citizens free access to ideas they deem too democratic and dangerous. Big Brother is watching you again. And what if I write the phrase "Down With Big Brother" criticizing the government in this blog entry? Will someone from the government come and arrest me while I am in class taking an exam? Well, according to the BBC News article, that's exactly what happened in Syria. In Cuba, Egypt and Tunisia, they all censor and even lock up journalists and bloggers. And who, what publishers will be exempt from this? Is this thought crime at work in George Orwells 1984 novel? This is why the media rights group, Reporters Without Borders, has published The Handbook for Bloggers and Cyber-Dissidents. It's pretty technical but it also contains some simple tips, so you can say what you think without having to worry the censors or cyber-police too much. Here is a great quote: In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, but, by that time, no one was left to speak up. Martin Niemoeller, Pastor (1892-1984). First it was them, and then it was me. Whose gonna be left when big brother comes? And what does this have to do with a No Police State? I have added a sitemeter visitor counter to this site today at the very bottom of the page because I am not even sure how may people are visiting this page myself. It's Sunday again. Why am I blogging today, it's supposed to be a day of rest. Have a great day.

Rehabilitation Nation
I love pot, I used to squat, smoke pot and like it a lot. But now I got burnout. I could be in need of some rehab. Should drugs be legalized? What would NORML, Narco News and High Times have to say about this? If you are a junkie or a drugaddict, drug rehab may be just the place for you. at Stone Hawk http://www.narcononstonehawk.com/ they offer every kind of addiction and treatment service under the sun, because they were once addicted. Stone Hawk is the most successful drug treatment program in the country with a history of an astounding 76%+ success rate. For narcos this program works great when others have failed. And what about those celebrities who leave rehab early? Stoned Hawk, excuse me..., Stone Hawk may be just the place for them also. Is Stone Hawk just as great as the Betty Ford Center? Alcoholics Anonymousers might love this place also. It sounds like a drug detox center where one can clear ones thoughts, body, mind and spirit. http://www.narcononstonehawk.com/ is where the healing begins. Stone Hawk center is located just 5 miles from downtown Battle Creek, Michigan nestled in a quiet semi-residential area. The 58,000 sq. ft. building is surrounded by rolling hills and large oak trees. The lake is stocked for fishing and the serenity makes it complete, for an addiction recovery. I am not sure if there is a swimming pool, steam room, sauna, library or computer room there also. And if anyone asks just say we're High on Life. This is a sponsored review.

Writers Block
Today I am having I guess what could be called writers block, the block of writers. What do I write about today? I am somewhere in between writing about all of the horrifying world news I see everytime I turn on the television or read the newspaper, or link building for this blog to increase my search engine optimization for advertisers and sponsorship (would anyone like to exchange links with me?) I've read that Google page ranking is all about link popularity for websites, and posting in blog forums, or that Entrepreneurs blog I see on MyBlogLog which is a really great blog because I think I would like to be an entrepreneur also. And what if I can't think of anything to write, could I just copy and paste some other bloggers post to save myself time and thought? Is that ethical? There are lots of wonderful writings and topics out there in bloggerland. Or maybe I can ask someone to contribute content to this page to help with posts? Well what's the purpose of starting a blog if one does not want to blog? It is Friday the 13th today, if you are superstitious be aware.
Also, I will have artwork in a group show. If you are in the neighborhood please come and support fellow artists in the next exhibition at South 4th Bar/Cafe': Art and So4th presents: Home April 19 - May 24, 2007 an exhibition featuring artwork by: Joel Simpson, Arthur Kvarnstrom, Pedro Da Paz, Rene Mayorga, Tom Wilson, Carla Cubit, James Banta, Carla Torres.

Psychic Power
I love Astrology. I have always been fascinated by the stars in the sky, religion, mysticism, the occult, the supernatural, the secret knowledge of the unknown and all things spiritual. I always wonder what the crystal ball has to say about life. There are lots of great books that deal with mystic topics, "The Secret Language of Birthdays", "Alchemy and Mysticism", "Tarot" and others. Tarot card decks symbolize inner reality and are great for inner exploration, for the images of the tarot cards are mirror images of yourself. If you need help with lifes challenges, Dr. Peter Filis http://psychicpower.com.au is a person to contact. He offers face-to-face and psychic readings. He is a numerologist, palmist and tarot interpreter. Dr. Peter Filis's readings are completely honest. He will tell you exactly what he sees, the good, the bad and the in between. He also offers labels at http://psychicpower.com.au/tarot-labels.html for aspiring tarot card readers. You just peel them off and stick them onto the back of your own tarot cards for instant readings and a quick and easy way to learn to read the Tarot ! Dr. Peter Filis also offers other useful information and additional readings as well. This is a sponsored review. Have a great day.

MTA polizei and musicians
Is the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority becoming the New York City Metropolitan Terrorizer Association? Can someone remove all of the NYC MTA polizei from the subway system? Can the NYC MTA just make its subway fares free? Can the MTA free its riders and its subway musicians from its system of harrassment? And those "If you see something say something" messages and random bag searches are a terrorize the people campaign in itself. Yesterday I learned that now I should attend this Saturdays April 14th Earth Day event, the National Day of Climate action, http://stepitup2007.org just to help protect my friends saxophone in case the MTA polizei policy issue my friends a summons for playing their music in the subway. The National Day of Climate Action will be rallies and gatherings across the country to call for action on global warming and climate change and MUNY joins the National Day of Climate Action in a marathon concert at Times Square from 10am to 6pm, celebrating mass transit as a major solution to reducing carbon emissions and I should be there to help save their horns from becoming a New York City subway statistic. Since when did my job become horn saver? My friend Welf, from the Underground Horns , a brass band, performs with "Drumadics", drummers. They have been playing their music in scheduled weekly performances as part of the MTA Arts for Transit/Music Under New York, http://mta.info/mta/aft series . Their music is fun and spiritual. And there is this policy officerial who keeps shutting them down with his volumnmeter who has now threatened to issue them a summons the next time they show up to play which would be this Saturday as part of the April 14th Earth Day Event at the Times Square subway station. So what does one do? Maybe subway musicians get complaints and get tossed out of the subway all of the time. Can one not tolerate art? What ever happened to freedom of speech? Since when did art and music in public spaces become a crime?

And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Happy Earth Day. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.
