Big Brother 1984

A Big Brother Checkpoint Charlie Nation

And somehow I came across this 30 Signs That The United States Of America Is Being Turned Into A Giant Prison article throughout my travels in internetland the other day. And this seems to be an interesting 30 Signs That The United States Of America Is Being Turned Into A Giant Prison article indeed. And that website describes itself as "Waking People Up And Getting Them To Realize That The American Dream Is Quickly Becoming The American Nightmare". And that photo that appears with their article links to an Amazon Big Brother: The Orwellian Nightmare Come True paperback book. And 2011 = 1984. 2012. An awakening. A time for change. And if I could add a couple of Big Brother Checkpoint Charlie things to this list throughout my travels here on planet earth they would be something like: So what's up with all of those New York City subway terrorize and program you with if you see a suspicious package, if you see something say something horrorize you terror messages one has to listen to as they attempt to go their subway way each subway day messages. And who are the terror horrorists these days and times. And can I even blah blagh that phrase on this blagh these web 2.0 social media user generated content look for a keyword microtechnology everything surveillance state days and times. And what's up with that Port Authority of New York and New Jersey check your bags checkpoint as you attempt to get on the escalators just to come and go your subway, train or bus day. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State. And so that internet article reads something like as follows:
If you live in the United States of America, you live in a giant prison where liberty and freedom are slowly being strangled to death. In this country, the control freaks that run things are obsessed with watching, tracking, monitoring and recording virtually everything that we do. Nothing is private anymore. Everything that you do on the Internet is being monitored. All of your phone calls are being monitored. In fact, if law enforcement authorities suspect that you have done something wrong, they will use your cell phone microphone to listen to you even when you think your cell phone is turned off. In many areas of the country, when you get into your car automated license plate readers track you wherever you go, and in many major cities when you are walking on the streets a vast network of security cameras and "smart street lights" are constantly watching you and listening to whatever you say. The TSA is setting up "internal checkpoints" all over the nation, Homeland Security is encouraging all of us to report any "suspicious activity" that our neighbors are involved in and the federal government is rapidly developing "pre-crime" technology that will flag us as "potential terrorists" if we display any signs of nervousness. If you are flagged as a "potential terrorist", the U.S. military can arrest you and detain you for the rest of your life without ever having to charge you with anything. Yes, the United States of America is rapidly being turned into a "Big Brother" prison grid, and most Americans are happily going along with it.
The sad thing is that this used to be "the land of the free and the home of the brave".
So what in the world happened?
A fundamental shift in our culture has taken place. The American people have eagerly given up huge chunks of liberty and freedom in exchange for vague promises of increased security.
Our country is now run by total control freaks and paranoia has become standard operating procedure.
We were told that the terrorists hate our liberties and our freedoms, and that we needed to fight the terrorists so that we could keep our liberties and our freedoms.
But instead, the government keeps taking away all of our liberties and our freedoms.
How in the world does that make any sense?
Have the terrorists won?
As a country, we have moved so far in the direction of communist China, the USSR and Nazi Germany that it is almost impossible to believe.
Yes, turning the United States of America into a giant prison may make us all slightly safer, but what kind of life is this?
Do we want to be dead while we are still alive?
Is this the price that we want to pay in order to feel slightly safer?
Where are the millions of Americans that still yearn to breathe free air?
America is supposed to be a land teeming with people thirsting for independence. For example, "Live Free or Die" is supposedly the official motto of the state of New Hampshire.
But instead, the motto of most Americans seems to be "live scared and die cowering".
We don't have to live like this.
Yes, bad things are always going to happen. No amount of security is ever going to be able to keep us 100% safe.
We need to remember that a very high price was paid for our liberty and we should not give it up so easily.
As one very famous American once said, when we give up liberty for security we deserve neither.
The following are 30 signs that the United States of America is being turned into a giant prison....
#1 A new bill that is going through the U.S. Senate would allow the U.S. military to arrest American citizens and hold them indefinitely without trial. This new law was recently discussed in an article posted on the website of the New American....
In what may be a tale too bizarre to be believed by millions of Americans, the U.S. Senate appears ready to pass a bill that will designate the entire earth, including the United States and its territories, one all-encompassing “battlefield” in the global “war on terror” and authorize the detention of Americans suspected of terrorist ties indefinitely and without trial or even charges being filed that would necessitate a trial.
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham is a big supporter of the bill, and he says that it would "basically say in law for the first time that the homeland is part of the battlefield".
According to the PPJ Gazette, the following are three things that this new law would do....
1) Explicitly authorize the federal government to indefinitely imprison without charge or trial American citizens and others picked up inside and outside the United States;
(2) Mandate military detention of some civilians who would otherwise be outside of military control, including civilians picked up within the United States itself; and
(3) Transfer to the Department of Defense core prosecutorial, investigative, law enforcement, penal, and custodial authority and responsibility now held by the Department of Justice.
#2 U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman is asking Google to install a "terrorist button" on all Blogger.com blogs so that readers can easily flag "terrorist content" for authorities.
#3 Most Americans have no idea how sophisticated the "Big Brother" prison grid has become. For example, in Washington D.C. the movements of every single car are tracked using automated license plate readers (ALPRs). The following comes from a recent Washington Post article....
More than 250 cameras in the District and its suburbs scan license plates in real time, helping police pinpoint stolen cars and fleeing killers. But the program quietly has expanded beyond what anyone had imagined even a few years ago.
With virtually no public debate, police agencies have begun storing the information from the cameras, building databases that document the travels of millions of vehicles.
Nowhere is that more prevalent than in the District, which has more than one plate-reader per square mile, the highest concentration in the nation. Police in the Washington suburbs have dozens of them as well, and local agencies plan to add many more in coming months, creating a comprehensive dragnet that will include all the approaches into the District.
#4 In some American schools, RFID chips are now being used to monitor the attendance and movements of children while they are at school. The following is how one article recently described a program that has just been instituted at a preschool in California....
Upon arriving in the morning, according to the Associated Press, each student at the CCC-George Miller preschool will don a jersey with a stitched in RFID chip. As the kids go about the business of learning, sensors in the school will record their movements, collecting attendance for both classes and meals. Officials from the school have claimed they're only recording information they're required to provide while receiving federal funds for their Headstart program.
#5 Increasingly, incidents of misbehavior at many U.S. schools are being treated as very serious crimes. For example, when a little girl kissed a little boy at one Florida elementary school recently, it was considered to be a "possible sex crime" and the police were called out.
#6 But what happened to one very young student in Stockton, California earlier this year was even worse....
Earlier this year, a Stockton student was handcuffed with zip ties on his hands and feet, forced to go to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was charged with battery on a police officer. That student was 5 years old.
#7 In the United States today, police are trained to respond to even the smallest crimes with extreme physical force. For example, one grandfather in Arizona was recently filmed laying unconscious in a pool of his own blood after police rammed his head into the flood inside a Wal-Mart on Black Friday night. It was thought that he was shoplifting, but it turns out that he says that he was just trying to tuck a video game away so other crazed shoppers would not grab it out of his hands.
#8 Did you know that the government actually sets up fake cell phone towers that can intercept your cell phone calls? The following is how a recent Wired article described these "stingrays"....
You make a call on your cellphone thinking the only thing standing between you and the recipient of your call is your carrier’s cellphone tower. In fact, that tower your phone is connecting to just might be a boobytrap set up by law enforcement to ensnare your phone signals and maybe even the content of your calls.
So-called stingrays are one of the new high-tech tools that authorities are using to track and identify you. The devices, about the size of a suitcase, spoof a legitimate cellphone tower in order to trick nearby cellphones and other wireless communication devices into connecting to the tower, as they would to a real cellphone tower.
The government maintains that the stingrays don’t violate Fourth Amendment rights, since Americans don’t have a legitimate expectation of privacy for data sent from their mobile phones and other wireless devices to a cell tower.
#9 U.S. border agents are allowed by law to search any laptop being brought into the United States without even needing any reason to do so.
#10 In the United States of America, everyone is a "potential terrorist". According to FBI Director Robert Mueller, "homegrown terrorists" represent as big a threat to American national security as al-Qaeda does.
#11 Most Americans are not that concerned about the Patriot Act, but that might change if they understood that the federal government has a "secret interpretation" of what the Patriot Act really means. U.S. Senator Ron Wyden says that the U.S. government interprets the Patriot Act much more "broadly" than the general public does....
"We’re getting to a gap between what the public thinks the law says and what the American government secretly thinks the law says."
#12 The FBI is now admittedly recording Internet talk radio programs all over the United States. The following comes from a recent article by Mark Weaver of WMAL.com....
If you call a radio talk show and get on the air, you might be recorded by the FBI.
The FBI has awarded a $524,927 contract to a Virginia company to record as much radio news and talk programming as it can find on the Internet.
The FBI says it is not playing big brother by policing the airwaves, but rather seeking access to what airs as potential evidence.
#13 The federal government has decided that what you and I share with one another on Facebook and on Twitter could be a threat to national security. According to a recent Associated Press article, the Department of Homeland Security will soon be "gleaning information from sites such as Twitter and Facebook for law enforcement purposes".
#14 What you say on your cell phone is never private. The truth is that that the FBI can demand to see your cell phone data whenever it wants. In addition, according to CNET News the FBI can remotely activate the microphone on your cell phone and listen to whatever you are saying....
The FBI appears to have begun using a novel form of electronic surveillance in criminal investigations: remotely activating a mobile phone's microphone and using it to eavesdrop on nearby conversations.
The technique is called a "roving bug," and was approved by top U.S. Department of Justice officials for use against members of a New York organized crime family who were wary of conventional surveillance techniques such as tailing a suspect or wiretapping him.
#15 In some areas of the country, law enforcement authorities are pulling data out of cell phones for no reason whatsoever. According to the ACLU, state police in Michigan are now using "extraction devices" to download data from the cell phones of motorists that they pull over. This is taking place even if the motorists that are pulled over are not accused of doing anything wrong.
The following is how a recent article on CNET News described the capabilities of these "extraction devices"....
The devices, sold by a company called Cellebrite, can download text messages, photos, video, and even GPS data from most brands of cell phones. The handheld machines have various interfaces to work with different models and can even bypass security passwords and access some information.
#16 The federal government has become so paranoid that they have been putting GPS tracking devices on the vehicles of thousands of people that have not even been charged with committing any crimes. The following is a short excerpt from a recent Wired magazine article about this issue....
The 25-year-old resident of San Jose, California, says he found the first one about three weeks ago on his Volvo SUV while visiting his mother in Modesto, about 80 miles northeast of San Jose. After contacting Wired and allowing a photographer to snap pictures of the device, it was swapped out and replaced with a second tracking device. A witness also reported seeing a strange man looking beneath the vehicle of the young man’s girlfriend while her car was parked at work, suggesting that a tracking device may have been retrieved from her car.
Then things got really weird when police showed up during a Wired interview with the man.
The young man, who asked to be identified only as Greg, is one among an increasing number of U.S. citizens who are finding themselves tracked with the high-tech devices.
The Justice Department has said that law enforcement agents employ GPS as a crime-fighting tool with “great frequency,” and GPS retailers have told Wired that they’ve sold thousands of the devices to the feds.
#17 New high-tech street lights that are being funded by the federal government and that are being installed all over the nation can also be used as surveillance cameras, can be used by the DHS to make "security announcements" and can even be used to record personal conversations. The following is from a recent article by Paul Joseph Watson for Infowars.com....
Federally-funded high-tech street lights now being installed in American cities are not only set to aid the DHS in making “security announcements” and acting as talking surveillance cameras, they are also capable of “recording conversations,” bringing the potential privacy threat posed by ‘Intellistreets’ to a whole new level.
#18 If you choose to protest in the streets of America today, there is a good chance that you will be brutalized. All over the United States law enforcement authorities have been spraying pepper spray directly into the faces of unarmed protesters in recent weeks.
#19 In many areas of the United States today, you will be arrested if you do not produce proper identification for the police. In the old days, "your papers please" was a phrase that was used to use to mock the tyranny of Nazi Germany. But now all of us are being required to be able to produce "our papers" for law enforcement authorities at any time. For example, a 21-year-old college student named Samantha Zucker was recently arrested and put in a New York City jail for 36 hours just because she could not produce any identification for police.
#20 According to blogger Alexander Higgins, students in kindergarten and the 1st grade in the state of New Jersey are now required by law to participate "in monthly anti-terrorism drills". The following is an excerpt from a letter that he recently received from the school where his child attends....
Each month a school must conduct one fire drill and one security drill which may be a lockdown, bomb threat, evacuation, active shooter, or shelter-in place drill. All schools are now required by law to implement this procedure.
So who in the world ever decided that it would be a good idea for 1st grade students to endure "lockdown" and "active shooter" drills?
To get an idea of what these kinds of drills are like, just check out this video.
#21 With all of the other problems that we are having all over the nation, you would think that authorities would not be too concerned about little kids that are trying to sell cups of lemonade. But sadly, over the past year police have been sent in to shut down lemonade stands run by children all over the United States.
#22 The federal government has decided to invest a significant amount of time, money and energy raiding organic farms. The following example comes from Natural News....
It is the latest case of extreme government food tyranny, and one that is sure to have you reeling in anger and disgust. Health department officials recently conducted a raid of Quail Hollow Farm, an organic community supported agriculture (CSA) farm in southern Nevada, during its special "farm to fork" picnic dinner put on for guests -- and the agent who arrived on the scene ordered that all the fresh, local produce and pasture-based meat that was intended for the meal be destroyed with bleach.
#23 It is an absolute disgrace that all of us (including grandmothers and young children) must either go through body scanners that reveal the intimate details of our naked bodies or endure "enhanced pat-downs" during which our genitals will be touched before we are allowed to get on an airplane.
It is also an absolute disgrace that the American people are putting up with this.
#24 Invasive TSA security techniques are not just for airports anymore. Now, TSA "VIPR teams" are actively conducting random inspections at bus stations and on interstate highways all over the United States. For example, the following comes from a local news report down in Tennessee....
You're probably used to seeing TSA's signature blue uniforms at the airport, but now agents are hitting the interstates to fight terrorism with Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR).
"Where is a terrorist more apt to be found? Not these days on an airplane more likely on the interstate," said Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security Commissioner Bill Gibbons.
Tuesday Tennessee was first to deploy VIPR simultaneously at five weigh stations and two bus stations across the state.
TSA "VIPR teams" now conduct approximately 8,000 "unannounced security screenings" a year at subway stations, bus terminals, ports and highway rest stops.
#25 More than a million hotel television sets all over America are now broadcasting propaganda messages from the Department of Homeland Security promoting the "See Something, Say Something" campaign. In essence, the federal government wants all of us to become "informants" and to start spying on one another constantly. The following comes from an article posted by USA Today....
Starting today, the welcome screens on 1.2 million hotel television sets in Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn and other hotels in the USA will show a short public service announcement from DHS. The 15-second spot encourages viewers to be vigilant and call law enforcement if they witness something suspicious during their travels.
#26 Certain "types" of American citizens are being labeled as potential threats in official U.S. government documents. An unclassified Department of Homeland Security report published a couple years ago entitled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" claims that a belief in Bible prophecy "could motivate extremist individuals and groups to stockpile food, ammunition and weapons." The report goes on to state that such people are potentially dangerous.
#27 Back on February 20, 2009, the State of Missouri issued a report entitled "MIAC Strategic Report: The Modern Militia Movement". That report warned that the following types of people may be potential terrorists....
*anti-abortion activists
*those that are against illegal immigration
*those that consider "the New World Order" to be a threat
*those that have a negative view of the United Nations
#28 As I have written about previously, a very disturbing document that Oath Keepers has obtained shows that the FBI is now instructing store owners to report many new forms of "suspicious activity" to them. According to the document, "suspicious activity" now includes the following....
*paying with cash
*missing a hand or fingers
*"strange odors"
*making "extreme religious statements"
*"radical theology"
*purchasing weatherproofed ammunition or match containers
*purchasing meals ready to eat
*purchasing night vision devices, night flashlights or gas masks
Do any of those "signs of suspicious activity" apply to you?
#29 Soon you may get labeled as a "potential terrorist" if you are just feeling a little nervous. A new "pre-crime" technology system that is currently being tested by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will soon be in use all over the nation. It is called "Future Attribute Screening Technology" (FAST), and it is very frightening. The following description of this new program comes from an article in the London Telegraph....
Using cameras and sensors the "pre-crime" system measures and tracks changes in a person's body movements, the pitch of their voice and the rhythm of their speech.
It also monitors breathing patterns, eye movements, blink rate and alterations in body heat, which are used to assess an individual's likelihood to commit a crime.
The Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST) programme is already being tested on a group of government employees who volunteered to act as guinea pigs.
#30 The truth is that nobody puts more people into prison than America does. The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world and the largest total prison population on the entire globe.
To read about some of the crazy things that the control freaks running things have planned for the future, just check out this article by Natural News: "10 outlandish things the 'scientific' controllers have in mind for you in the near future".
Once again, despite all of this outrageous "security", it is inevitable that a lot of really bad things are going to happen in the United States in the years ahead.
When there are incidents of violence, it is also inevitable that there will be calls for even more "Big Brother" security measures.
We are going to be caught in a never ending spiral of tyranny where the "solution" is always even tighter security.
Eventually, we will have lost all of our liberties and freedoms, and we will probably be even less safe than we are today.
Do not be deceived. We could put a soldier on every corner, a video camera in every room of every home and an RFID chip in every citizen but that would not make us "safe".
Every single lawmaker that is backing these laws which strip our liberties and freedoms away deserves to be voted out of office.
If you love the United States of America, please stand up and say something while you still can.
Please use this article and other articles like it as tools. Share them with your friends and your family. If we can get enough people to wake up, perhaps there is still enough time to turn the direction of this country around.
Will the final chapters of the history of the United States of America be mentioned in the same breath as communist China, the USSR and Nazi Germany, or will the final chapters of the history of the United States of America be the greatest chapters of all?
The choice, America, is up to you.

Occupy Wall Street Worldwide

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blog. And so today finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 60. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast. And so on this day finds itself with headlines reading with titles like Police arrest 70 Wall Street protesters, New York police evict anti-Wall Street protesters, The NYPD is currently evicting #Occupy from Zuccotti Park, and the list of headlines goes on and on in headline news land. And this is what democracy looks like on this day. And this is what a police state looks like on this day when one turns on the computer, radio, television or walks by the newsstands to read the headline news on this day. 2012, a time for change. And for what reason does this we are the ninety nine percent of a global revolution movement seem as if it wants to all come down to property, who owns the land. Who's right is it to say that the land is for sale anyway. Parens Patraie, father of our country, father of the people. And for what reason does that word patriot have the word riot in it, and what does parens patraie, father of our country mean, as I think this word is what involuntary slavery and servitude is based on, maybe, the idea that the state owns an individual. A man is born free but he is in chains, I read somewhere. And does that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry for this phrase. And that NYPD raid video: OWS protesters arrested at Zuccotti Park YouTube video that finds itself posted above, well it just seems to NYPD, New York department of polizei raid video: OWS protesters arrested at Zuccotti Park speak for itself. And that other Occupy Wall Street Protesters Cleared From Zuccotti Park YouTube video that finds itself posted above also, well it just seems to Occupy Wall Street Protesters Cleared From Zuccotti Park speak for itself also. You can't evict an idea whose time has come. When justice ends, tyranny begins. No one is free when others are oppressed. We are the 99%. We are the legions. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Occupy Wall Street Worldwide.

Checkpoint Charlie
The only thing constant is change. And some stories do not end as you expect. Once an outsider, always an outsider. You can only deal with the cards you are dealt with. You take a deep breath and you jump and you hope that there's water at the bottom of the pool when you land. The saddest song ever told. And a host of other sayings and philosophies that want to pass me by on this blog your way to the bankless get rich internet quickless day when it comes to this thing called life. And so what I wanted to blah blog about on this blaghing day. So what's up with that Checkpoint Charlie checkpoint that found its way to that intersection of Dekalb Avenue and Wyckoff Ave in that neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn, or is it Bushburg or East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to be found in that country or is it continent of North America to be found on planet earth, the other day where there seems to be more New York City Department of Polizei, Politi people on the streets of that city of New York than people themselves these days and times and seemingly beyond. And as I found myself passing by that intersection the other day going my way, that intersection found itself closed off with polizei at all four corners shining flashlights in everyones faces, checking drivers I.D. for when asked for what reason? "Drunk drivers" was a response and, "Are you liberal?" Hugh? Are the Gestapo's here yet. And what's the Gestapo anyway. And it seemed like some scene straight out of a checkpoint Charlie Museum scene. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State?

A New York Department Of Police
Okay and so it is not so often every so often that I find myself blah blogging about those New York Police Department officers to be found in that city of New York to be found in that country of North America here on planet earth who seemingly are more numerous on the streets of that town than the people themselves with no end in sight of a scene that wants to repeat itself over and over to where even though the names may change, the game wants to stay the same, I think. Or something like that. And so this is one of those times where I thought to blagh one of those YouTube videos to be found in that seemingly endless YouTubeland of endless videos that I came across in my internet travels as posted above that has me wanting to ask myself, so what's up with those NYPD Polizei? As this is one of those videos that seems to want to speak for itself. And what if anything does this have to do with a No Police State?

Search This Cell Phone

Now here's another one of those interesting articles I came across throughout my internet travels in internetland headline news of the day that I thought to repost on this blog yet again in an attempt to maintain content for this blog whenever possible. And there is not much commentary I can comment on this one, as this article seems as if it wants to speak for itself. And though the names have changed, the story is the same. And what an interesting feature for a cell phone. Is this feature included in the wireless plan? And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State?
Michigan: Police Search Cell Phones During Traffic Stops
ACLU seeks information on Michigan program that allows cops to download information from smart phones belonging to stopped motorists.
The Michigan State Police have a high-tech mobile forensics device that can be used to extract information from cell phones belonging to motorists stopped for minor traffic violations. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Michigan last Wednesday demanded that state officials stop stonewalling freedom of information requests for information on the program.
ACLU learned that the police had acquired the cell phone scanning devices and in August 2008 filed an official request for records on the program, including logs of how the devices were used. The state police responded by saying they would provide the information only in return for a payment of $544,680. The ACLU found the charge outrageous.
"Law enforcement officers are known, on occasion, to encourage citizens to cooperate if they have nothing to hide," An ACLU staff attorney wrote. "No less should be expected of law enforcement, and the Michigan State Poice should be willing to assuage concerns that these powerful extraction devices are being used illegally by honoring our requests for cooperation and disclosure."
A US Department of Justice test of the CelleBrite UFED used by Michigan police found the device could grab all of the photos and video off of an iPhone within one-and-a-half minutes. The device works with 3000 different phone models and can even defeat password protections.
"Complete extraction of existing, hidden, and deleted phone data, including call history, text messages, contacts, images, and geotags," a CelleBrite brochure explains regarding the device's capabilities. "The Physical Analyzer allows visualization of both existing and deleted locations on Google Earth. In addition, location information from GPS devices and image geotags can be mapped on Google Maps."
The ACLU is concerned that these powerful capabilities are being quietly used to bypass Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches.
"With certain exceptions that do not apply here, a search cannot occur without a warrant in which a judicial officer determines that there is probable cause to believe that the search will yield evidence of criminal activity," An ACLU staff attorney wrote. "A device that allows immediate, surreptitious intrusion into private data creates enormous risks that troopers will ignore these requirements to the detriment of the constitutional rights of persons whose cell phones are searched."
The national ACLU is currently suing the Department of Homeland Security for its policy of warrantless electronic searches of laptops and cell phones belonging to people entering the country who are not suspected of committing any crime.

Polizei
Hey bloggers, and this is one of those postings that happens to be about the police, the polizei, the policy, the army, or what other name that may be passing me by for this group of human beings dwelling here on planet earth to be called. And every so often in my web 2.0 internetaholicness, I forget that the name I called this blah blog happens to be No Police State. And what's that all about anyway. And what's a police state anyway? A state of police? A state of policies? And a state where? And what's a state anyway? And does that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry this word police, will those people always be with us as dwellers here on planet earth. Well anyway, A friend of mine found themselves somewhere in that country of Germany, somewhere between the city of Berlin and Munich the other day, traveling and going their way in one of those automobiles on the road somewhere, and lo and behold, Checkpoint Charlie, and who is Checkpoint Charlie by the way...., and so lo and behold, some flashing sign appears as if out of nowhere on some car's back window with the red LED lights going across some high tech computer screen saying "Polizei, Bitte Folgen", as in the english version of "Police, please follow." Hugh? And so the I guess this scenario can be called one of those martial law, random bag check, road block searches and a host of other similar names to be found here on planet earth. And what's a martial law by the way, that could be a whole another blog posting. And life on planet earth can sometimes be Orwellian like, a scene straight out of that classic George Orwell novel nineteen eighty four too complex for me to comprehend and understand. And what is there to be blaghed about this that scenario that has not been said before. No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible. And so the story goes..... And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State?

14th and 1st
Hey Bloggers, or anyone who happens to be in that neighborhood of the East Village in that city of New York around that street of 14th street and 1st Ave, whats up with 14th and 1st? What's up with those policy officers who have seemingly appeared out of nowhere on horseback just standing there, I mean sitting there on some horses, five in a row, right there in the middle of the street, well, not exactly the middle of the street, though the intersection of the street to be seen for all to see on display indeed. And where did that big NYPD New York Police Department policy bus with the words "Command Unit", or was it "Communications Division" appear out of nowhere. And this is the sight I beheld yesterday. And are those official office officers there today? I am not exactly sure. And so I asked these officers, as I assume a lot of other passerbys did yesterday also, "Why are you here?", and that answer was something like "Oh, this famous actor is filming a scene around the corner and we're in it...", "So you are actors?", the response was, "Yeah, the response was again". And so in my questioness I just thought to ask that other official officianiating officer two horses down, "So, why are you here, are you actors part of a film?", "Film, what film, we're just doing patrol". "Oh, so its a police state for the people?". And so I found myself continuing on my way before this conversation went where I preferred it not to. And what are, were those barricades for at that intersection of fourteenth and first ave in that neighborhood of the East Village in that city of New York, where I find myself wandering every so often there for yesterday and maybe today I am not sure. And what is that "Mounting Unit" bus for those horses doing on that street around the corner from that intersection of 14th and 1st in that city of New York. Is someone expecting a parade, a riot, to intimidate a passerby? Is this all reality or a scene from some film. And so those passerbys continued to gawk at this spectacle in that intersection of fourteenth and first for all passing by to see and gawk at, and take photos of with ones portable camera as if a tourist, those portable cameras that have become a fixture of everyday life with the invention of technology. And are those command post people there at this moment I find myself blah blogging away. And what is a post to be commanded. And who is officer friendly anyway. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

That NYC MTA
Hey Bloggers, and this is one of those posts that I have been meaning to blah blog about for some time now as I think I have already blaghed about this on this blog some time a while ago. And I have been meaning to blah blog about this topic so much that I can not even find those blogger scribbles that I even wanted to blagh scribble on this blog. And this blog posting happens to be about a New York Press newspaper article is this weeks paper titled "Copping an Attitude". That article is about NYC polizei searching bags in the subway system. And their quote "We must take steps to ensure our domestic security and protect our homeland" that was spoken by Adolf Hitler and his Gestapo is even more interesting to me. And I find that interesting that someone besides me as one blogger blah blogs about the fact that the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority, or is that the New York City Metropolitan Terrorize its riders going their way Association", has been terrorizing its riders with those "May I check and inspect your bag searches" and "NYPD backpack containers subject to inspection" for quite some time now. And that does not even include that "If you see a suspicious package say something campaign of prerecorded advertising programming messages for people going their way. And who exactly are the terrorists here? And it seems as if people are losing their civil liberties at the speed of light in the name of security. And for what reason can not NYC MTA transit officers be banished as part of that New York City Subway system. And for what reason can not that Transit Adjudication Bureau court place for non payment of fare just disappear and the subway fare be free for everyone. No one is free while others are oppressed. Where is the world headed. Is another world possible. And whatever happened to that NoSubwaySearches.org group. Are they still around? Does their website still exist? And it is a pain to see countless subway riders being harasses and intimidated on a daily basis by this NYC MTA company in the name of security and safety. Is this all part of some scene out of George Orwells 1984 novel. And who is Big Brother anyway? And what would the American Civil Liberties Union have to say about this. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

A State Of Police
Hey Bloggers, and being that I am on the topic of headlines and news again, what are these headlines all about from emails that have been sitting in my email inbox for a while now with titles like "MTV Warns Viewers of Looming Police State", a video that is to be found here, "Endgame: Blueprint For Global Enslavement" another video that is from one of those NewPacifica Yahoo Group emails that I have somehow found myself subscribing to. And then there's "Crime-ridden Arkansas town expands 24-hour curfew" another Yahoo News story, and then there is that one that is on the Yahoo Home Page at the moment as I type this blog entry, "Not Patriotic Enough?, A man gets ejected from Yankee Stadium for leaving his seat during "God Bless America." And for what reason does the word patriot have the word traitor, riot, or parent in it, maybe. And I could click on the title of these emails to read what they are all about, and from what those headlines say it gives me the question, is it a state of police and policies. And what would George Orwell, nineteen eighty four and Aldous Huxley and that Brave New World novel have to say about this, if anything. Is there hope for the world, where is the world headed. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Checkpoint Charlie
Hey bloggers, who is that Checkpoint Charlie guy and what is he checking anyway, as I think I may have found myself visiting him on this recent trip, travel through the airport and on many strasses thrughout Germany trips, and his visits seem to go on and on elsewhere on this planet earth. And doesn't he have something to do with the police, security, mal militant oppression or violence or protecting property or something, or not. And was this guy born in Germany anyway. My friend said something that he has something to do with the GDR, and who is the GDR, the German Dutch Republic? And I came across this literature, program brochure during my time in Germany for the Hause Am Checkpoint Charlie, the Checkpoint Charlie Museum in Berlin, Germany. As it is written in German, I do not really understand what it could say, only what the photos could mean. And its words are "Vous Sortez Du Secteur Amerikan, You Are Leaving The American Sector". And there are photos of police and guns, as well as demonstrations, the Berlin wall falling, the Brandenburg Gate, groups of people and tanks all over this brochure page. And does Wikiipedia have an entry for this Checkpoint Charlie guy, and what would that internet bible dictionary have to say about this person. Well, according to the brochure the Checkpoint Charlie, or the Checkpoint Charlie Museum is: "Der Checkpoint Charlie war der woht bekannteste Grenzubergang zwishchen West und Ost.
And I do not really understand the language of that German I just wrote. Oh, and I just came across another brochure for this guy that is written in English that says "Checkpoint Charlie was an allied border patrol in Friedrichstrasse seperating the boroughs of Kreuzberg and Mitte. It got its name from being the thrid patrol post. The two others being Helmstedt (alpha and "Drei Linden" (beta).
Between 1961 and 1990 Checkpoint Charlie was the only crossing point for members of the Allied Forces, and for all foreigners to cross from West to East Berlin.
In the course of the reunification of Germany Checkpoint Charlie was demolished in the presence of Foreign secretaries of the United States, Great Britain, France, the Soviet Union and the two German states. And doesn't this guy still exist in some form or another around the world, and for what reason. Will humanity ever be free to walk the earth without walls and papers for permission from another. No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

America: Land Of The Police

Hey Bloggers, what happens when you get a ticket and a summons for playing a musical instrument in the subway? And whatever happened to freedom of speech. So what's up with that New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority. And if you have ever been to New York City you may have heard of them. And these days I find myself thinking of them as the Metropolitan Terrorist Authority with the horror stories I hear from the riders and musicians that ride and play their instruments in their subway system. And that authority seems to have more police in its system underground than riders of its subways and New York City as a whole, and seems to have historically flooded its system with cops, police, and enforcers of policy makers. And New York City seems as if it is a state of police sometimes to me in my travels anyway. And so the stories go, a person who does not pay their fare receives summons that they never paid, that becomes a notice of claim against their income tax refund from the NYCTA New York City Transit Authority Transit Adjudication Bureau years, even decades later. And another story goes Musicians that play as part of their Music Under New York Arts for Transit program at Times Square 42nd Street, 14th Street Union Square, and 34th Street etc; constantly receive tickets and summonses for playing a musical instrument and or hindering traffic or too loud music or anything else one can think of with or without a permit and are shut down on a regular basis. And these musicians are usually told to "Do not ever come back here," by the police. And those musicians that I know of, their horns, drums, trumpets, saxophones, baritones and music rocks, and they make a lot of money down there playing their music sometimes, enough to make me want to ask them if they are hiring. And another story goes another person who does not pay their fare is sent to prison requiring court visits to their court. And another story goes another person received a summons for walking through a subway car, requiring a court visit or payment of ticket. And for what reason does the NYC MTA Transit Adjudication Bureau get its own court anyway. Is it possible that everyone could just not go to their appointed court date for whatever reason, what would that mean? Is another world possible or is that a utopian thought. And that NYCMTA MUNY performance schedule and bookings does not seem to offer or provide any support groups for its traumatized and harassed musicians and performers by the police down there in its system. And those tickets and summons are enough to make a musician want to consider to stop playing in that subway underground, maybe. And since when is art a crime. And then I start to wonder what are the statistics of musicians that are getting arrested for playing their music down there, and does it make any difference anyway if one knew the statistics. And Is it not possible the MTA could free its riders from its subway system and terrorizing and make its fares free and remove all of those millions of police from down their in their space anyway, and end those prerecorded "If you see something say something " messages and random bag checks. People seem to be losing their civil liberties at the speed of light down their underground. Could not the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority just print up a long list of dos and donts to add to its list of do's and dont's it already has anyway and post these on signs everywhere throughout its system or is that not a good idea. And then there is that 'Can we see some id identification" to use against you for whatever reason down there that one encounters from policy maker enforcers every so often. And what if one does not have I.D.? And it seems as if it is no longer America, land of the free down there in subway land as property of the New York City MTA. It seems as if it has become America, land of the police down there in subwayland as a rider or musician playing an instrument as part of that subway grasp of a system. And then what about subway trains, buses and other transportation systems around the country and world, how are they. And what's up with that social security UPC bar code number, save no man that he may buy or sell except that he have the mark of the beast thing. And there are other stories and atrocities going on in the news today too innumerable to mention that seems never ending in these days and times. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

The Policy
The place was martiallawville, two thousand and one, and every where I looked, I saw people with guns, standing on the corners in uniform, full of torture devices if you stray from the norm. Hey bloggers, being that I am on the topic of police in these last couple of blahg postings, those are the first few words of my No Police State song that I wrote. And I call myself No Police State Girl during my blogaholic days. And No Police State Girls blog is about everything No Police State and other random thoughts. And every so often I find myself blah blogging about a No Police State. And what's a police state anyway? A state of police? And so when I came across another blog on MyBlogLog out there in the internetland blogosphere, I thought that this blog sort of reads like mine, one of those wanna be save the world blogs, maybe. And I was asked to write a post for this blog to try and attempt to answer this very same question. What is a Police State in New York. And that blog exchange post thing sort of never happened and so I thought to post this passage on my blog anyway as a result. Well, I am not exactly quite sure what a police state in New York is but I do think it has sometyhing to do with a state of police and that New York could reflect the State of the world. And I am an artist living in New York's Lower East Side, and I see police wherever and whenever I wander the streets around town. And what's up with all of those police and surveillance cameras being everywhere every single step of a journey outside. Is life in New York and even the world like George Orwell's nineteen eighty four novel. And it's not that I have some sort of thing with the Police, its the police and those weapons and torture devices that they carry around. Is it possible that all of the police in the world could be police without guns and torture devices? Is that a utopian thought. Is another world possible? And this leads me to think about other thoughts about guns and gun violence again, and I could copy my blog posts over and over in my appeal to end gun violence. Guns are the worst invention of an industry ever. If only guns could be abolished from every human being on the face of planet earth, and banned from all forms of advertising in news media, television, newspapers, commercials, clothing and any other form of media that influences culture. And if only that, is it the fourth amendment, of the constitution could be rewritten to say the right to bear sticks and stones instead of guns, as if property is worth more than people. Wouldn't there be less trouble in the world if guns didn't exist. And this is a story that has been told yesterday, is told today and will be told tomorrow in the seemingly never ending cycle of the beast that feeds upon itself, that another person has lost their life to gun violence. And in other thoughts yet again, what are all of those headlines about "New York City Police begin toting submachine guns on subways" that have been in the news the past couple of days. Hugh? Hasn't the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority thought up enough ways to terrorize its riders going their way already with its prerecorded "If you see something, say something" messages, and its random bag searches, and its cameras everywhere, and those police with attack dogs. Who are the terrorists here? Isn't it possible for the subway and bus fares to be free and that Police, or at least their guns and attack weapons could disappear from the NYC MTA. Can the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority free its riders from oppression. It seems as if humanity is losing its civil rights in the name of security at the speed of light. And now one must be intimidated in fear and pretend that one can not possibly be machine gunned to death simply for going their way. Does Wikipedia have an entry for this as an explanation. What would Gandhi have to say about this. Is there hope for the world and society. Where is the world headed. No one is free when others are oppressed. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

The Police
Now that's interesting. What does it mean when I find myself blah blogging about 5.11 gear. That's some kind of police gear. And isn't the name of this blog that I am blogging on supposed to be called "No Police State?", and isn't this supposed to be titled "No Police State Girls Blog" that I am blah blogging on as well?. Well, if you happen to be looking for police gear, LA Police Gear are all gear all the time. They offer just about every type of tactical gear that one can think of.

An Art Exhibit
Now this is an interesting article in this weeks Village Voice. And it has something to do with "Dred" Scott Tyler, a seemingly controversial artist who addresses police brutality with his art exhibits. And he currently has an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts. And his gallery exhibits seem to stir up the likes of everyone from Curtis Sliwa and the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association to the internetland bloggersphere bloggersworld social networking website, Police Link. And the Village Voice goes on to say that Scott Tylers past pieces have addressed "What is the Proper Way To display a U.S. Flag", and have been titled "Blue Wall of Violence". And his current exhibit provides a glimpse into his 19 year body of work, which is full of pieces meant to inspire anger. And this exhibit seems as if it may be worth checking out, if not for educational purposes.
And for what reason does the word patriot have the word riot in it. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Subway Musicians
And so I find myself blah blogging about this same topic again. Are my blog topics repeating themselves? The harassment of New York City subway musicians, with or without a permit. And so I heard the same story happened again yesterday and may happen again and again with no end in sight. Again, is the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority becoming the New York City Metropolitan Terrorizer Association? My friends are members of the Music Under New York program. Their music rocks and will get you grooving. Their band plays their music, horns, drums, bucket drummers and shakers at the Times Square 42nd Street subway station weekly and just about every other time they show up to play, they are harassed, threatened, shut down and yesterday, physically ejected from the subway station by New York City transit cops, police policies and polizei. It's almost as if they are on the New York City subway most wanted list for that subway station, for yesterdays reason of the day was "Terror alert" and it seems as if civil liberties are disappearing at the speed of light in the name of security, terrorism and now the latest trend, "Plots". Again, what can one do in this situation except complain. I believe subway musicians are harassed daily more or less in the New York City subway system for noise volume, traffic congestion and various other reasons. Is there a support group for the trauma drama of subway musicians, a subway musicians union? As MUNY itself provides no support for this purpose. And so I did yet another goggle search. There is a really great resource website, City Lore that offers information about the rights of subway musicians (if you really have any), your rights and responsibilities, court decisions in your favor,(which by the way, should courts be boycotted?), that's a whole another blog post, the transit police, transit police fact check, subway station managers, legal assistance, performing on the streets and in the parks, our views, what do you think?, confrontation sheets and other sources. Since when is art a crime and what does this have to do with a No Police State? Have a great day.

The Bystander

"Attorney claims cop punched him, wife". That is one of the many horrific headlines in today's Metro New York Newspaper. And one of the many horrific headlines around the world that occur and are occurring on a daily basis with no end in sight. The article states a civil rights attorney and his wife were both punched in the face by a police sergeant after they tried to stop cops from beating a handcuffed teen. And so this similar situation has happened to me and so this situation may have happened to others at one point in ones life. You are a witness to an incident as a passerby and you intervene only to be oppressed yourself. And there are too many of these "Person leaves home, gets caught in crossfire and never makes it back" stories these days. What does one do when you are a witness, an innocent bystander to an incident involving the polizei, a passerby caught in the middle of crossfire of gun play of people who have guns, whether civilians or state sponsored militia? Of people who may think they are cool simply because they have a gun and get their power through the barrel of a gun. It has become the wild, wild west. Caine and Abel are everywhere and the images of guns and violence are everywhere in the media and reflected in our society and culture. The latest trend in advertising by seemingly a lot of people involved in entertainment is of a picture, poster, or photo of a person holding a gun pointed at your face. How has the standards, morals, and values of this world declined this far in these days to where it has now become cool and trendy to portray images and references to violence in all forms of media and advertisement. It seems as if from the beginning of time in cinema, film, television and movies that there has been bad boy characters with guns in their hands to tell humanity on planet earth that it is okay and almost glamorous to kill people. Does not media and violence influence our culture? Is not the media propagating and programming the world to become violent? For what reason is violence entertaining? Is not the media feeding violence to the people? Is it George Orwell's hate hour every hour? It could be that vicious circle again where crime feeds the media which feeds the advertisers which feeds the population which feeds the media which feeds the crime which feeds the advertisers which feeds the population and so on and so on and so on. It seems to be an industry that keeps everyone in business. What would happen if nobody died tomorrow? And people are losing their lives on a daily basis with no end in sight from this sort of thought, for reason at all. I am only one blogger, one voice. I average about 30 page views a day, I think. Who could actually be paying attention to what I say and write in my appeal to banish guns from every human being on planet earth for peace on earth. Mayors To End Gun Violence, maybe? God Not Guns? The National Rifle Association? The inventor of guns and gunpowder? Who is going to try and change the world, try and create a more peaceful world. Ghandi? Martin Luther King? Jesus Christ? This grip of evil, Satan, seems to have been let loose for a thousand years roaming the earth, seeking to whom he may devour. The Babylon confusion and anomaly is everywhere. Where are we in this state of the world? Is there hope for the world, for this generation in these days, in these times? As these times can be hell on earth, and what are these days, these times? Freedom for all. Is another world possible? And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Have a great day.

Peace in a No Police State World
Well my friend said to me you can't just start a blog and not write anything. You have to write something other than I'm starting a blog. You have to write something about your site, about the No Police State. Well todays topic is violence. What's up with that? What's up with all the images and references to violence in media and advertising, commercials, film, and television? I don't get it. Doesn't glorifying violence reflect on and influence the culture of society? Are there any morals and values in society anymore?. Hey Bloggers, does anyone know how to get this site to do rss feeds? What's an invalid url address for your blogspot? How do you get that photo from the web to put onto your profile photo? And what the heck is html and how do you get those html codes to go onto your page? Does anyone know how to program this page correctly? Help. All of this reading the blogger help manuals are giving me a headache. Have a great day. Peace on earth.
