The Weather

And with a hurricane approaching the country of America, Yahoo Headlines are starting to read topics like "With a historic evacuation of 1.9 million people from the Louisiana coast complete, guntoting police and National Guardsmen stood watch for a hurricane," and CNN headlines that read "New Orleans imposes dusk-to-dawn curfew". And guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. If only guns could be abolished from every human being on the face of planet earth, as if property is worth more than human life. And what would happen if no one lost their lives to gun violence today, tomorrow and thereafter, would the media and advertising industry be out of a job? And it seems to be a vicious cycle of a beast that feeds upon itself. Is another world possible. Where is the world headed. Is there hope for the world and society in these days and times. And even when it seems as if the world is falling down all around me, I still find myself blah blogging sometimes. And for some reason this verse from the bible comes to mind on this day, "So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter". And for some reason I did not make it to that "Music Now" music event at the Brecht Forum that is taking place on this night with the Peoples Revolutionary Party and musicians The Black August Quintet with Ras,Walden Wimberley,Rashid Bakr(Charles Downs),Larry Roland,Matt Lavelle, On,Tor Yochai Snyder,Andre Martinez, The Seth Meicht Trio, James Keepnews,Mike Golub,Welf D.,Tom Chess,Matt Lavelle,Todd Nicholson,Daniel Carter,Nick Gianni and Ras Moshe. And I wanted to post a photo of those musicians performing there on this blog on this day in my blogaholicness. And that photo is not here as I am not there for some reason or another. Have a great music day.

A State Of Police

Hey Bloggers, and being that I am on the topic of headlines and news again, what are these headlines all about from emails that have been sitting in my email inbox for a while now with titles like "MTV Warns Viewers of Looming Police State", a video that is to be found here, "Endgame: Blueprint For Global Enslavement" another video that is from one of those NewPacifica Yahoo Group emails that I have somehow found myself subscribing to. And then there's "Crime-ridden Arkansas town expands 24-hour curfew" another Yahoo News story, and then there is that one that is on the Yahoo Home Page at the moment as I type this blog entry, "Not Patriotic Enough?, A man gets ejected from Yankee Stadium for leaving his seat during "God Bless America." And for what reason does the word patriot have the word traitor, riot, or parent in it, maybe. And I could click on the title of these emails to read what they are all about, and from what those headlines say it gives me the question, is it a state of police and policies. And what would George Orwell, nineteen eighty four and Aldous Huxley and that Brave New World novel have to say about this, if anything. Is there hope for the world, where is the world headed. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Light

And I am here wondering what this title "Is it really green?" that was in the am New York newspaper from some time ago is all about. And this article says something about are those new light bulbs that have been replacing regular incandescent light bulbs really green. And for some reason that phrase "Too much light makes the baby go blind" comes to mind. Are these little spirally shaped designed energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs really safe? And they seem to be a gazillion and hundreds of times times more brighter that those regular home electric light bulbs that I am used to. And though they may be safer for the environment, I am not so sure if they are safer for the eyes and eyesight. And then there is that topic of fluorescent light. And for some reason that word fluorescent reminds me of the word Lucifer, Luciferfluoresce, the devil, the deceiver and bearer of light who changes form. And then it has me wondering if all of these institutional lighting that is to be found throughout the world could really be from or some form of the devil, evil that lives, to deceive mankind in my fanatic thoughts. And this changing of regular household standard light bulbs to fluorescent "Go Green" lighting gets me to wondering if it is really environmentally conscious at all. Help save planet mother earth. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind..

News And Events

And as I find myself reading headlines of the day with titles such as "India nabs boy, 14, in iPod slay, Police look to screen every vehicle in New York for terrorism, In 1976 Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ron Wayne design and began selling the Apple 1 computer at a price of $666.66, Mosquito's are responsible for more deaths annually than all other animals and human wars combined, Long Island teens apparently inspired by the violent video game "Grand Theft Auto" went on a robbery and crime spree, A Brooklyn church is buying guns off the street for $200 cash, no questions asked" and other interesting headlines too inumerous and horrendous to mention, I am still finding myself wondering what events are going on this weekend, even in the midst of what seems like the last days and the beginning of the end of society and the world and its morals when one reads the news. And so I thought to post some events because, hey, it's less writing sometimes.

And some good friends "Dubtronics" are playing some ambient electronica tonight at the Stain Bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn if you happen to be in the neighborhood. And that Charlie Parker Jazz Festival seems to be happening this weekend as well at Marcus Garvey Park and Tompkins Square Park with artists such as the Barry Harris Trio, Charles McPherson, Vanessa Rubin, Rashied Ali, Robert Glasper, Randy Weston, Jerry Gonzalez and Fort Apache , Eric Lewis, Gretchen Parlato and more. And that New York Fringe Festival 2008 has been going on this past week as well with so many performances and show listings that it can take a while to see them all. And I imagine there must be an infinity more of events happening this weekend, and they are passing me by at the moment. Have a great event day.

An Interestng Email Message

And here is another one of those emails I received from a friend, who received from another friend, and so on and so on and so on. And I thought this interesting to post on this blog, though I could not exactly get those colorful photos that came along with that email to post on this blog so easily:

God's Pharmacy! Amazing!

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye.. and yes, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All of the research shows to matoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility. Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries

Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just l ike the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

Onions look like the body's cells. Today's research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Have a great God and Health day.

Now this Sky Mall magazine seems like one interesting magazine to be found in the sky. The Melting Pot

And it seems as if the only thing constant is change. Some stories do not end as you expect and everything happens for a reason. And it is the grim reaper that people seem to be born to die and some are cursed at birth and one can only play with the cards they are dealt with. And so those are some of philosophies of life I find myself thinking on this day. And so after my ears are ringing from everyones cell phone chatter of their life stories along the way, I am finding myself in this City of New York again. And there was a rainbow over the sky over that place that is called "The Melting Pot" that day. And I guess it was from the clouds and the sun that come together as one. And for what reason is this place called a melting pot anyway. Is it a pot that melts in some sort of way. And I think it is one of those synonyms of a place of all existing nationalities in one place, maybe. And after having travailled on one of those travelling tours as one of those tourists attempting to blog their vacation, I am now finding myself able to post those photos that I took as one of those blogaholic bloggers blogging their vacations. And those above photos are of the Kansas City Missouri area and their tourists sites they have around that town. And there seem to be a lot of photos that I attempted to post in this post. And Kansas City, Missouri seems to be a city of jazz, bar b que and fountains. And some of those photos above are of a city of fountains to be found throughout that town, and of the historic 18th and Vine jazz district, mostly known for where Charlie Parker, that well known jazz musician grew up and lived. And now the American Jazz Museum is located there on 18th and Vine, along with the Blue Room, a jazz club with live music, The Black Archives of Mid America and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. And is that a statue of Charlie Parker, and an artist sculpture rendering of Billie Holiday in those photos above? And there is a current exhibition in that Jazz Museum at the moment titled "381 Days", that is a photo history of the Montgomery Alabama bus boycott story during the civil rights movement era. And this exhibition is dedicated to the memory of Mrs. Rosa L. Parks. And Gates and Sons and Authur Bryants Bar Be que are to be found in that city also. And I also found myself at some cemetary looking at headstones of the deceased for some reason. And this citys inner city ghetto seems to be reeling in the midst of a crack epidemic and crime runs rampant as if it is the wild wild west. And what is the wild, wild west anyway. And the daily and nightly news seems to be devoted to crime, crime and more crime. And what would happen if no one died there or anywhere today, tomorrow or thereafter, would the media and the death industry be out of a job. As it seems as if it is a vicious cycle of a beast that feeds upon itself. And guns are the worst invention of an industry ever. If only guns could be abolished from every human being on the face of planet earth. And this city seems to be one of Americas cities that have become war torn zones suffering from what seems like a silent curfew, where there are no bars, clubs or nightlife entertainment to be found. Most every building seems to be boarded up and the only thing open are payday loan stores, liquor stores and churches, and one usually hides behind closed doors after dark. And the only advertisements and billboards to be found seem to be for gun shops and gun expos. And most every venue has a "No firearms, weapons or guns allowed on this property" sign posted on their entrance. And there seems to be entertainment and personal services further out into the surburbs of those who have left the inner city. And people have taken to srtipping light poles and air conditioners for copper, metal and money. And if and when one sees a polizei police person or any other official standing next to them with a gun, here, there or anywhere, does one ignore that person and their weapon as if that person has no intent to harm another. Is one supposed to pretend as if one could not lose their life at any given moment, for any given reason, by that person and their weapon standing next to them if they were to use their gun at any given time. No one is free when others are oppressed, Is there hope for the world and society. Where is the world headed. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Have a great travelling day.

Gog And Magog

And in my religious fanaticism, I am starting to wonder if doomsday and the apocalypse are near or here and if this war of Russia and Georgia that has almost seemingly come from out of nowhere with its recent headlines of war and oil could be the beginning of the end of the world and the beginning stages of World War III. And did these Russia, Israel headlines all start around 08/08/08, the beginning of the summer Olympics? And then what about that 12/12/12 end of the world thing. and what would that Nostradamus, Quatrain X.74 have to say about this and that seven year tribulation. And is this the war of Gog and Magog? And who or what is Gog and Magog? And I have always wondered if Russia, Gog and Magog had something to do with the end of the world and prophecy of some sort that is beyond me at the moment to even attempt to try and comprehend. And in my 2012 fanaticism thoughts and those top ten signs of the end of the world, I have always looked out for signs of Russia and WWIII in there somewhere. And I have been following this year 2007 and 2008 and that number of four years of something or someone to appear during these years for a while now, that passes me by at the moment. And what does this all mean. And that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia does seems to have entry for this Gog and Magog as follows:

7. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, :8. And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

And what this all may mean, it is beyond me to comprehend. Though I do believe these recent events may be found in prophecy somewhere. And so I just came across this posting I posted a while ago as follows, if you believe:

The Holy War

Easter is upon us. It is the Holy Week and Jesus, religious articles and programing are gracing the pages of publications and airwaves everywhere. While this topic is too extensive to write about in one paragraph, I am attempting to summarize it. Just a couple of days ago I was watching a program on CNN about the end times. Is it the end of the world? There were two guests on who had written a book about the end of the world who could have been speaking right off of the website Prophecy Central http://bible-prophecy.com , a world of information about biblical prophecy that details an outline of the future. I am a religious fanatic and I believe we are living in the last days, though this has been said since the beginning of time many of the bible prophecies and scriptures are being fulfilled in our time. I believe in the Mayan calendar 2012 theory also, that when their calendar ends in 2012 the world is over. And I also believe that Babylon is New York, The Statue of Liberty, a great whore who sits on a beast having seven heads over many waters, nations and tongues with ten horns on her head who burns with fire. The CNN program detailed something like: Israel became a nation in 1948, captured Jerusalem in 1967 plus 40 years, a bible generation equals 2007, a super sign the end is near. The Battle of Armageddon, World War III, the Antichrist, and the mark of the beast will occur in 2007, now that's a really scary sign, and Iran preparing for nuclear war against Israel, possible Ezekiel's war of Gog and Magog. And the false prophets will say "Peace, peace" when there is no peace. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:6-8. Here is a prophetic top 10 predictions of the end of the world from a prophecy website to be interpreted: 1. Global Terrorism 2. Unrest in the Middle East 3. National I.D. Initiatives 4. Military buildup 5. The worlds growing focus on Jerusalem 6. The European Unions political merger . 7. Ecumenicalism (One World Religion) 8. Civil liberty concerns 9. The collapse of morality 10. China's growing economic and military might.
The microprocessor and microchips fit in there somewhere. Watch and be ready for the return of Jesus Christ and if the year 2007 passes and no end of the world.......
Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

Windows Vista

And if you have ever heard of a computer, or even used one of those computers in these days and times, you may have heard of Windows Vista. And it seems as if that ever since those modern day home and office use personal computers have been invented, that every other computer uses one of those Microsoft Windows programs to operate. And are there any computers that do not use this Windows program? And as far as I can remember during my computer using days, there has always been different versions of Windows and their newsest operating system for those computers. And I can remember there has been Windows Millennium, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and now in the year 2008, Windows Vista, Microsoft's newest operating system. And those Windows operating systems are usually all the rage when they come out, as those televisions, newspapers and other media outlets seem to show people going to the store to buy Microsoft's latest version of their software and Windows operating system. And this Windows Vista seems to have all the latest features and looks of those Windows operating systems that I am used to using on those computers and more. And I find that Windows Vista operating system easy to use, with its colors and simple point and click instructions that does not require me to be a rocket scientist to figure out. And what would the world of invention of computers and the internet be like today without the world of Microsoft.

Tompkins Square Park

And there seems to be a new book of photography from Powerhouse Books called "Tompkins Square", with photographs in black and white by Q. Sakamaki and essay by Bill Weinberg that has appeared this week in memoriam of the 20th Anniversary of the Tompkins Square Park Riots in that Park, that park everywhere in that former New York City neighborhood of the Lower East Side, that is now called the East Village for real estate marketing purposes maybe. I know this book has been written because a friend, The Village Voice, The New York Times, The New York Press, The Villager and other newspapers this week say so. And that book seems to be about documenting the history of that park then and now, its symbol of resistance, its bandshell long torn down, lost and forgotten, it's homeless encampments, its home for the homeless, its abandoned buildings, its tents, its affordable housing, its squatters squats, its riots, its protests, its arrests, its evictions, its police confrontations, its Squatter May Day Concerts, its festivals, its AIDS souls, its punk rockers, its hippies, its Dinkinsville, its Avenue A,B,C and D Alphabet City scene, Its La Plaza Cultural, its neighborhood, its 80's, 90's and pre gentry gentrification, genocide era, its destruction and its resurrection. And it is a book of photos and there seems to be lots of historical and archival photos of that neighborhood and times indeed in that book. And there was a book launch and 20th Anniversary Commemoration at the Powerhouse Arena just yesterday I believe, to commemorate that park and era I guess. And this book seems to be a book to read. Squatters Rights... The Squatters Are Your Neighbors...No Housing No Peace...Squat The World...No one is free when others are oppressed...Is another world possible...Long Live CBGB's. Long Live The Lower East Side. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

A Squatting Forum

And maybe it could be possible to free the world and squat the land. I know because when I just signed into my MySpace there was one of those inbox messages with a title that read "Tomorrow, 8/7: Squatting Forum @ 123". And I gather by that title, that there is a forum and discussion about Squatting, an ideal that's been long gone, lost and forgotten as the last remaining Squats of New York's Lower East Side, that is now called the East Village for real estate marketing purposes have been bought off or sold off. And it is an era on gentrification and genocide, so much that even the yuppies, or young urban professionals can no longer afford the rent without ten roomates or twenty full time jobs. And that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia seems to have an entry for this alternative type of housing. And whose idea is it that the land is for sale anyway. And New York seems to be an ever changing era and landscape in its real estate. And the text of that event invite read:

"Join Freegan.info for a forum on squatting and reappropriation of the conditions of homelessness. The dispossessed are denied their rights to food and shelter by a system that recycles suffering and servitude. It is time to take advantage of the conditions of neglect by resettling abandoned buildings to forge the consensual space of extra-political collectives. The talk will be about squatting, and the formation of networked collectives to engage in the nuts and bolds of every-day class struggle. The spaces of every-day life need to be revolutionized for autonomy, self-determination, and freedom! Admission and Food Free.
