It's that time of year again, the holiday season is upon us, according to the calendar and advertisements, and it's the most joyous festival time of the year, or is it. And Thanksgiving Day in America is later this week, that nationalistic day to be thankful for something. And remember the Indians, their beads and trinkets, that twenty four dollars and the land of Manna-hatin, and eat more tofurky. No one is free when others are oppressed. And isn't the day after Thanksgiving day Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, or is that the day after Christmas. Well this year the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 23rd, is also Buy Nothing Day and isn't this day celebrated around the world. I am not exactly sure what the story behind this concept is, but I think it has something to do with buying nothing. And Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping will be out there in the streets with shopping events all over New York City all day long. And I imagine there will be a ton of other events in observation of this day. Adbusters will be hitting the streets for a 24 hour consumer fast and there will be a Buy Nothing Day Freegan Feast on this day also. Maybe one can help save the environment and planet earth on this day by consuming less. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

Buy Nothing Day
Okay it's not really Buy Nothing Day on this day as far as I blogger know, as I think according to those headline news of the day that it's actually Occupy Wall Street Day 17. It's just that this blog wants to confuse me sometimes in its newsspeak Orwellianess with its times, dates and histories in my attempt to maintain more than one blog whenever blaghers block possible. As this is yet another one of those recycle this blog posts that found itself posted on this blog some time a while ago.

The Cash Register

And in blah blogger thoughts on this day. Whatever happened to those good old fashioned check out registers, ringing, pull the hand lever with those numbers that roll around in those windows on the top of them like those lottery number windows, cast iron steel cash registers of the past. It seems like the shopping, buying and selling transactions that I encounter in those merchant stores these days and times all involve those computerized and digitalized cash registers that seem to break down on a daily basis, to where I keep hearing sales clerks say things like "The computers not working", or "The server is down", or "You can't purchase this item because the computer is not working", or "Please wait til I reboot the cash register so that you can purchase that item", or "The credit card machine is not working", or some other phrase to where it seems like I can't even shop anymore. And it could be the age of the rfid tag barcode, save no man that he may buy or sell except that he have the mark of the beast globalism conspiracy thing, maybe. What's that all about in these high tech technology all things electronic buy and sell days?

A Downtown Brooklyn Holiday Welcome Center

Hey bloggers, or whoever could be reading this blog. And somehow I found myself in front of Modell's at a Downtown Brooklyn Holiday Welcome Center today for some reason or another, in what seemed like the freezing cold of yet another New York City winter. And oh, I guess I found myself there to listen to that band Underground Horns that I sometimes find myself listening to every so often for some reason or another. And wow, the Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz was a guest speaker there also. And so I found myself there see the president. And see the president of Brooklyn and the Underground Horns play some audio gumbo I did. And I guess those downtown welcome centers that seemed to be sponsored by the The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, The Court, Livingston, Schermerhorn Business Improvement District, Fulton Mall Improvement Association and MetroTech Business Improvement District in Brooklyn are to usher in the holiday shopping, shopping and more shopping season every Wednesday in December in that city of Brooklyn to be found in that City of New York, as I think that's what the Brooklyn Borough President said in his speech today when he held up one of those Shop Downtown Brooklyn tote bags that encourage shoppers to support the local businesses this holiday season. And these Brooklyn Business Improvement District groups seems to have events, events and more events. And Julian Peterson and the Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice Music Ensemble were performing there at Hoyt Plaza throughout that Brooklyn Business Improvement District as part of this event on this day as well. And so in yet another attempt to drag the camera out of the closet, I posted a couple of those photos from that event in this blog posting above, and a YouTube video of that event as well. And those Downtown Brooklyn Holiday Welcome Centers shopping, music and events rock. Have a great Brooklyn, New York and beyond holiday.

Hey Bloggers, hurry hurry! It's time to go shopping. Sears is having a Big One Day sale. You know Sears don't you? That department store that has been around for decades and decades. And I think of that department store as being this really big huge store where one can spend all day and night in shopping in, their stores are so huge. And Sears is a department store where if you can't find it there for your holiday shopping, you can't find it anywhere, maybe. And now just in time for the holidays, holiday shoppers can find a Canon Powershot 8.0 megapixel 4X optical digital zoom still camera for 149.99 before your $30 instant savings, as well as a Sylvania 32” class LCD HDTV for only $429.99. Kmart

"Kmart is your savings place". Isn't that some sort of jingle from years ago that comes to mind when I think of Kmart and its red K sign for ones pleasant family shopping experience. And I remember that department store from what seems like decades ago. And Kmart is the only national discount department store that offers layaway. And I have always thought of Kmart as these really big shopping stores where one can find just about anything at great low prices. And Kmart's got a Kmart Lay-Away Program. I didn't know that. You can enter your zip code in the search box at their website to see if the Layaway option is in your area. I should keep that in mind the next time I go there and find myself short in change. And as I remember, those Layaway programs have always been great over the years when one is short on cash to buy that item that one is looking to buy. And with the Christmas season soon approaching, one can reserve their gift item or large purchase early and pay over time just in time before Christmas with Kmart's layaway program. And that Christmas tree that is in the photo above can make a great gift of holiday decor as your holiday centerpiece, and it can also be easy to pay for with a Kmart layaway just in time for this holiday season. And be sure to check out their "Mr. Blue Light" specials while you are there also, as Kmart can be your one stop destination for all things Christmas this season. Happy Holidays.

Sky Mall
Now this Sky Mall magazine seems like one interesting magazine to be found in the sky. And I gather these magazines are to be found on airplanes and airline travel to pass ones time shopping and contemplating shopping away throughout that flight to ones destination. And this book seems like one of those magazines for everyone who already has everything when it comes to gadgets, as most of the inventions to be found in this magazine are gadgets that one does not usually come across in those strip malls to be found across the country. And some of those gadgets and inventions are almost hilarious, so much that one could fill up their time and place of dwelling with manuals on just how to operate all of these gadgets. And some of those products have names and titles such as: "Get the big screen experience on the go with Vuzix wear, serve up piping hot mini doughnuts in less than a minute, solar panel bags charge your electronics on the go, x5: the next generation of laser hair therapy, fog free mirror keeps you on time, teak seating for the shower, charging tray eliminates need for unsightly wall adapters, the floating wireless speaker, the tabletop photo studio, the only digital camera swim mask, the slide and negative to digital picture converter, the voice activated r2-d2, the indoor dog restroom, the lp and cassette to cd recorder stereo system, the cordless rechargeable fan, the digital photo to dvd converter, the portable inflatable whirlpool spa, the original sleep sound generator, the peaceful progression wake up clock, the motion sickness relief wrist band, the keep your distance bug vacuum, the foldaway 39 exercise gym, the fingerprint reading garage entry system, the worlds largest crossword puzzle, the backyard dog agility course, the pets observation porthole, the upside down tomato garden, bring the magic of the big screen to your backyard, ice in under 10 minutes, peel and press berber tiles make the easiest wall to wall carpeting, wireless headphones let you listen to your stereo, cd or tv without disturbing others, pets who need a little help getting up onto furniture will appreciate this fold away pupstep plus, dispense paper towels with a wave of your hand, break the language barrier wit this talking translator, with the proper support you can sleep sitting up, protect your identity with out rfid blocking wallet, passport holder and billfold, portable uvc light kills 99.99 percent of germs without harsh chemicals, provide your lost pet a toll free calling card the pet finder id system, detox foot patches, become a spelling bee champ with the speaking spelling bee, the portable office, personalized hometown jigsaw puzzle, everwood outdoor shower, design your own kitchen cart. Time
Clocks and the grandfather clock, well there must be lots to say about clocks and time. And who is the father of time, those two sticks that tell us what to do, sometimes. And I could imagine there are a lot more philosophies to say abut this word time. And who does not find themselves looking at a clock each day for some reason or another, maybe a child. And the only thing constant is change. And in case you happen to be looking for grandfather clocks, 1-800-4clocks has a clock for you. You can find Grandfather clocks, Grandmother clocks, Wall clocks, Atomic clocks, Mantel clocks, Cuckoo clocks Alarm clocks and more clocks at their website. And at Clocks Blog you can find the time of your life along with other interesting blog posts to read about clocks, clocks and more clocks. This Pot
Hey Bloggers, now this is one of those International Oddities posts that I do not find myself blah blogging about every so often. And I could have posted one of those really big marijuana leaf photos in this posting to help explain this post, but that photo is not there. And if you happen to smoke pot and like it a lot, Legal Bud at International Oddities is actually a world leader in selling legal bud. Now that sounds really, really, really, really interesting. You can save up to 75% when you buy legal buds at their website and 25 years of legal bud makes their products the best. And at their prices they just smoke the competition away. And that phone number that they advertise on their website 1-800-730-i-get-bud is actually sort of funny to me to read. And does this mean that I could actually call this number and get some legal pot without having to go outside and hide in dark corners to find. And their website is so covered with photos of really big huge buds such as Stinkbud, Skyscraper, Panama Gold, Bahli Bubble Bud, Hawaiian Bud, Combinations of all sorts of buds and more, that I experience an herbal experience just looking at their website, or do I? At Legal Buds International Oddities, you can find that herbal experience that you could be looking for and their website is all high times all the time.

My Vacuum

Hey Bloggers, and this post happens to be about cleaning and the Dirt Devil AccuCharge vacuum cleaner that is the first ever cordless cleaning technology, high efficiency, battery charging vacuum cleaner to earn Energy Star approval for its using up to 70% percent less energy and helping to save planet mother earth with less energy consumption. And I am seemingly forever finding myself trying to figure out ways to clean my home, house, apartment, abode, tent or other type of dwelling that I usually reside in. And the thought of cleaning and sweeping rugs and carpets with brooms sometimes give me thought of putting off cleaning altogether and let the dust and dirt pile up forevermore, for one can sweep seemingly forever and still not really remove all of the dirt and dust from ones rugs and carpet, and sometimes sweeping can be more work that cleaning itself. And with those cool looking Dirt Devil hand held mini vacuum cleaners that I see in stores everywhere seemingly since the beginning of time, or at least for a very long time, what better way to clean with less effort, wattage and waste, while saving energy at the same time. And that photo above of the Dirt Devil hand held and stick vacuum cleaner looks really interesting. And with the new Dirt Devil AccuCharge Vacuum, you can go green while you clean, it's the newest thing.

This Cell Phone
Cell phones and cell phone accessories, I see them everywhere these days. People and children talking on their cell phones while they walk and talk in the supermarket aisles, banks, post offices, on the buses and in the subways and libraries if they could. Cell phones are everywhere these days. What was life like before the invention of the cell phone. And then there is that text message phenomenon, people typing feverishly into their cell phone some sort of message to I presume someone else. And then there is the cell phone fidgeters who fidget with the cell phones in their hands and stare blankly at them as if they are waiting for them to ring. The Ninety Nine Cents Store
And as I was crossing Delancey Street the other day, I noticed how that shopping district has changed, along with the rest of New York City and gentrification. And I noticed the 99 cents stores that were there years ago were closed and replaced with what looked like nine dollars and ninety nine cents stores, chain stores, boutiques, cafes, banks and hotels, and many of them. And Delancey street is starting to look like Le' Delancey Street. The Delancy Street area as well as much of the New York City area seems as if it is a city for sale. And the people are still there, yet who are the people. They say the only thing constant is change. Every decade of New York seems to have a different era in real estate. The 60's I hear rent was so cheap everyone could afford to move once a month, the 70's landlords torched their buildings, ran tenants out of buildings for fire insurance and arson was everywhere. The 80's buildings were abandoned and squats flourished. The 90's, gentrification and genocide seem to have taken place with no end in sight and if one has cheap rent without ten roomates, try and hold on to it. And what does the next decade thereafter hold for New York City. And when I looked down Delancy Street, I saw this really big billboard about ten stoplights down that read "Where Have All The Junkies Gone? Village Voice." Hugh? Well I guess the junkies could still be around but maybe they are rich junkies now instead of poor junkies or something. And what happens when even the yuppies start complaining that even they can not afford to live in New York City anymore. And I guess it's that end of an era change real estate what happened to the Bowery and old New York thing again. Where have all the 99 cents stores on Delancy street gone?

This Car
And so here I go again wondering what to blah blog about today in the blogosphere of a quadrillion zillion bloggers. And this posting seems take me to the subject of the car lease, cars, automobiles, and more care. And what was life like before the invention of cars anyway during those horse and buggy days? And what would Robert Moses, the guy who built highways for cars, and Critical Mass and Transportation Alternatives, those bicycle advocate groups have to say about cars? Well, I know I see cars everywhere on the streets here in New York City, and many of them as a way to get around town. And then there is that topic of gas, oil, petroleum, and more gas, and maintaining a car and the parking tickets that goes along with the car in this town. And that's a whole another blog posting. Well if you happen to be in the U.K. looking for an alternative way to buy a new car or a second hand car for whatever reason, BuyYourCar offers and extensive search option database of new cars, used cars, and contract for hire car specials at great prices for your budget, make or model of car. Scales
Scales? What kind of scales is this website talking about? Is it digital scales, that balance scale, the scale one weighs their self and other objects with. What kind of scale is this? Oh, it's Escali digital scales. And what are those? ScalesEtc. has a new line of fashionable scales. Now that's interesting. These scales seem to be the kind that weigh items in fractions of a gram to hundreds of pounds. Does that mean this scale can weigh flour and spinach in kilos? Is that how I have heard of these kinds of scales? I guess they can make a handy item in the kitchen when one is cooking and measuring something a lot. And they sell bathroom and other kinds of scales also. So if you happen to be looking for one of those digital scales or some other kind of scale for whatever reason, ScalesEtc. is there for you. They are all scales, all the time.
