That NYC MTA

Hey Bloggers, and this is one of those posts that I have been meaning to blah blog about for some time now as I think I have already blaghed about this on this blog some time a while ago. And I have been meaning to blah blog about this topic so much that I can not even find those blogger scribbles that I even wanted to blagh scribble on this blog. And this blog posting happens to be about a New York Press newspaper article is this weeks paper titled "Copping an Attitude". That article is about NYC polizei searching bags in the subway system. And their quote "We must take steps to ensure our domestic security and protect our homeland" that was spoken by Adolf Hitler and his Gestapo is even more interesting to me. And I find that interesting that someone besides me as one blogger blah blogs about the fact that the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority, or is that the New York City Metropolitan Terrorize its riders going their way Association", has been terrorizing its riders with those "May I check and inspect your bag searches" and "NYPD backpack containers subject to inspection" for quite some time now. And that does not even include that "If you see a suspicious package say something campaign of prerecorded advertising programming messages for people going their way. And who exactly are the terrorists here? And it seems as if people are losing their civil liberties at the speed of light in the name of security. And for what reason can not NYC MTA transit officers be banished as part of that New York City Subway system. And for what reason can not that Transit Adjudication Bureau court place for non payment of fare just disappear and the subway fare be free for everyone. No one is free while others are oppressed. Where is the world headed. Is another world possible. And whatever happened to that NoSubwaySearches.org group. Are they still around? Does their website still exist? And it is a pain to see countless subway riders being harasses and intimidated on a daily basis by this NYC MTA company in the name of security and safety. Is this all part of some scene out of George Orwells 1984 novel. And who is Big Brother anyway? And what would the American Civil Liberties Union have to say about this. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Sounds Like Brooklyn

And that BAM Sounds Like Brooklyn Festival must be happening soon. I know because those updates on my MySpace page that I just noticed some time a while ago says so. And judging by the title of that headline, I gather that festival must be somewhere in Brooklyn in that city of New York. And according to their website, it is. As that MySpace update says that Baye Kouyate is playing at the jazz club, or club Zebulon in Brooklyn as part of this BAM Festival. And that 2009 Festival February 6 through the 14th is 100 and more bands and shows, 13 venues and two weeks. And sure enough that BAM Sounds Like Brooklyn Festival website says more people are playing as part of this festival with participating artists that include Analogue Transit, Beirut, Kaki King, ava luna, The Harlem Shakes, Jon Bibbs, Rose Ellen, Scary Mansion, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Superhuman Happiness, Tracy Bonham and more. And those artists are playing at those venues throughout Brooklyn at Solomon's Porch, Sputnik, Goodbye Blue Monday, Monkey Town, Bodega, Union Hall, Southpaw, Pete's Candy Store and more. And this festival rocks. Have a great music festival day.

Pension

Pension. Hey bloggers, what's a pension? I overheard two people discussing this word the other day and it had something to do with the context or work, retiring from work, working ones whole life away for some company, more work and beyond. And what does this word mean. Does that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry and a definition for this word. Can this word be dissected, picked apart and translated to mean something in another language. And for what reason does one work their whole life away for this thing called a pension. Is that what it means to retire at that age of 65 is it and to serve faithfully and dutifully to that organization, never to leave that job so one can get paid when they stop working there. Is that what this allegiance to ones work place is all about. Is there a hidden meaning behind this word What's that word all about.

An Outsider Art Fair

And that Outsider Art Fair must have happened last week or so. I know because this copy of the Village Voice that has been sitting around for some time says so. And that Outsider Art Fair seems to happen every year around this time in that month of January in that city of New York at that Puck Building on Houston Street. And what's outsider art anyway? Art that's on the outside. And the outside of what? And it seems to have something to do with those phrases like self taught, art brut, art of the insane, mental health, visionary and folk art. Art from the margins of society, people who are out there art, maybe.. And it seems as if outsider art in, the newest trend, maybe. And I know this Outsider Art Fair must happen ever year because I think I can remember blah blogging about it on this blog last year. And I think this Outsider Art Fair is part of that Outsider Art scene with galleries like Galarie Etienne, Ames Gallery, Henry Boxer Gallery, Phyllis Kind Gallery, Ricco Maresca, Carl Hammer, Maxwell Projects, Marion Harris, American Primitive Gallery, Gilley’s Gallery, Andrew Edlin Gallery, Luise Ross Gallery, Cavin Morris Gallery and artists like Gramdma Moses, Howard Finster, Terry Turrell, Bill Traylor, Adolf Wolfli, Frank Calloway, Henry Darger and more. And that art fair rocks. Have a great art day.

This Ride

The supercar. That revved up engine car that one sees going down the street ever so often. Turbochargers, those things automobile shows are made of, I think. And if you happen to be looking for turbochargers for that ride, turbochargerpros.com has them. They are the turbocharger professionals. You can find a Volkswagen turbocharger, and turbochargers for just about any model car you may be looking for. They have a learning center where you can read all about turbochargers and the differences between superchargers, and you can find other automobile parts at their website as well. At turbochargerpros.com, they can give your car the charge you may be looking for.

An Inauguration

Hey Bloggers, it is Sunday again on this day of the week according to that Gregorian Calendar. And yet I find myself blogging away on this computer and blog again for some reason. And it seems as if the world could be falling down all around me and yet I still find myself blahging for some reason. And this posting actually has nothing to do with the inauguration, except to say that that presidential inauguration with Barack Obama is going on this day and this week at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. and beyond. And it seems to be a world occurrence indeed, some day in history that has never been seen before where change has come. And what's an inauguration anyway? Does that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry for that? And in other thoughts in web 2.0 social media user generated content land, my MySpace addiction is going on again. Yet is has yet to be replaced with that Facebook social media websiteaholicness where it seems as if everyone is migrating and has migrated to. And for what reason do people sometimes confuse these two websites as MyFace? And it could be that internet addiction thing as a whole gong on again, where one does not eat, sleep or drink, and could sometimes forget they have a family or friends if it wasn't for someone telling them, maybe. And I have heard of those internetaholic stories that seem to suck whole civilizations into an internet webland black whole. Should someone start an internet and myspaceaholics anonymous group for all or does this group already exist. And what are the symptoms of MySpace and internet withdrawal. Are there any? And I admire someone who can actually say the words "I do not have a computer". Wow! And whole families seems to disappear, whole decades seem to disappear with the invention of web 2.0, social media and the internet. Have a great internet day.

Avenue A

Hey Bloggers, is today a holiday. This postings seems as if it wants to be about the economy and eco money, maybe. And I have found myself on that Avenue A bus that runs to and from those streets throughout that city of New York on avenue and and crosstown on 14th street. And Avenue as goes through that seemingly trendy and main drag of this seemingly historical alternative counter culture and other things it could e and represent neighborhood now called the East Village for real estate marketing purposes I guess, as I believe this neighbor hod was once called Loisiada. And So I found myself on this Avenue A bus again going riding through this neighborhood every so often and I noticed what seems like half of its stores and businesses are closed, shuttered, though not boarded up as of yet. And I have noticed this closing of stores going out of business more and more seemingly just in recent weeks of what seems like it is a neighborhood going out of business. And so I asked the lady sitting next to em "Is it a holiday today?". "No", she said. "As a matter of fact, lots of stores between 14th and 13th on 1st Avenue are closed. The bagel shop is gone, and its that all of these businesses rents are being doubled. If a landlord is charging six thousand and can charge twelve thousand, he will". And so I wonder, is this all a part of that gentrification genocide thing that has overcome that city of New York this past decade. Or is this a sign to come of the ripple effect of that mortgage meltdown and impending recession depression, uncle Scam, I mean Sam going out of business and having one of those everything must go sales and the national debt, bailout the bailouts and the federal reserve and treasury can not print up enough money fast enough to cover it all. It this that mortgage meltdown that is finally making its way toward New York. Is this a sign of the national economy going out of business that has affected the rest of the nation and the world with its Wall Street Stock Market exchange. And it is an eerie thing to look at. And it is not a burned out war zone ghost town from the Twilight Zone where everyone finds themselves standing in the soup lines as of yet. And these vacant stores has me wondering.

Live Wired Music

And there is a music event with Live Wired Music happening tomorrow. I know because that email I received from Charles Blass and Colin Faber says so. And from what I recall, Live Wired is all jazz, funk, and WKCR, all music all the time, maybe. And this event is also part of the Winter Jazz Fest, a jazz festival that takes place during the winter at different music venues I guess. And some of those featured artists participating in this event are Burnt Sugar The Arkestra Chamber,Greg Tate, Lisala, Karma Mayet Johnson, Maya Acuzena, Justice Dilla X, Mikel Banks, Lewis Barnes Jr., Micah Gaugh, Avram Fefer, Paula Henderson,Josh Sinton, Dave Smith, W. A California Video

And there is a video of a California Bay Area shooting in the California Bay Area Rapid Transit, BART subway system in the news on this day. And it is another story that was told yesterday, today and tomorrow with no end in sight of yet another person who has lost their lives to gun violence for no reason at all except for the fact that guns have been invented. Guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. And I could post this entry over and over in my appeal to end gun violence on planet mother earth. If only guns could be banished from every human being on the face of planet earth. If only guns and the images of guns could be banished from every form of advertising, marketing and media campaigns, news broadcasts, toys, video games, and pop culture. It is a vicious cycle of some sort of beast that feeds upon itself. Is another world possible. And I am only one blogger. And in other thoughts, Yellowstone National Park is trembling from earthquakes. And how are those bees doing, are they still dying? How is that recession impending depression of an economy wanting to go out of business doing. Where is the world headed. Is there hope for the world. Is this all Kali Yuga descending and 2012 on track. What does this all mean. And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

A Blog

It is a New Year on this day that I find my self blogging. It is a different Gregorian calendar year. Another year has passed and another is on it's way in passing. And it is all a part of father time and that cycle of life of infinity and the order of the universe. You know, that yin, yang thing. And it has been quite a while since I have found myself blah blogging away on Blogger in this web 2.0 social media user generated content world of that internet land blogosphere with seemingly another gazillion bloggers as well. And sometimes as I have blah blogged in times past, I find myself wondering what to blahg about. And how do those other zillion other bloggers do it. How does one maintain a blog and not run out of content for it. Do I post one of those Craigslist "Intern Wanted" ads to help maintain this blog. Do I post on this blog once in a blue moon, or red moon. Do I visit a content for your blog website, and do those exist. Do I hire a million other people to contribute content. Do I recite the letters of the alphabet once a day. What do those other bloggers out there in bloggerworld do in answer of pondering this question. Is there an internet guru for this. And there is that question again, to blog or not to blog, that is the question. And is this one of those 50 Signs You're A Blogaholic, the idea that I find myself scribbling some sort of random thought onto paper every so often with that phrase "I want to blog that before I forget.." in mind. And from reading that 50 signs you're a blogaholic list, it looks like number 15 may just be this, the blogger notepad. And I once had great visions that I could blah blog my way to riches and quit those ten full time jobs that I find myself with sometimes, and now it seems as if instead of quitting those ten full time jobs, that instead I just may find myself looking for an eleventh full time job with Uncle Scam, I mean Sam and the economy seeming as if he wants to go out of business and have one of those everything must go sales lately. And so it is a different day and change has come, some sort of change. As the only thing constant is change and some stories do not end as you expect.
