Vote For Me

And I think I must be running out of things to blagh about on this blogging day when I start posting photos like those ones that find themselves posted above in my attempt to maintain web 2.0 social media user generated content for this blog whenever bloggers block possible. And those photos that I came across throughout my travels in internetland on this internet day read something like "VOTE FOR THE POLITICIAN YOU CAN TRUST (with that A for anarchist symbol below those words and then above the words Nobody 2012." And then there's that other photo I came across in facebookland that reads something like "Freedom Is A State Of Mind. Political Language Explained. Liberate/Occupy. Transparency/Secrecy. Hope/You're Screwed. Change/More of the same. Promise/I'm lying. Bail out/Legal robbery. Sustainability/We want you dead. Terrorist/Anyone who stands in our way. War on terror/War of terror. Spreading Democracy/Forcing Imperialism. Citizen/Slave. News/Propaganda. Freedom Fighter/CIA/Private mercenary. Voting/False hope. Central bank/Pyramid Scheme. Conspiracy theorist/Shit, they're on to us". And even with those headline news of the day having something to do with that vote for us of a Republican National Convention and a don't vote for them of an Occupy Tampa and that Hurricane Isaac threatening to wipe and wash everyone out to sea, and gun violence seeming to be never ending so much that that satirical of a newspaper The Onion finds itself with headlines that read Nation Celebrates Full Week Without Deadly Mass Shooting, and those states of New York and New Jersey find themselves under a Frack is wack frack attack, today still finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 347, a few weeks before the anniversary of that global revolution. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State. Occupy Wall Street Worldwide.

Squat The World

And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 160. And Occupy Wall Street and those global revolutions of a movement Occupy Together are still moving fast. And so here's one of those emails that found itself in my email inbox the other day that I thought to repost on this blagh in an attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blog whenever web 2.0 social media user generated content blaghers block possible.

Squatting Europe Kollective (SQEK) comes to CUNY Monday, Feb. 27

A collective of activist researchers from the European squatting movement are gathering in New York City. They will be at CUNY to meet with students and faculty and speak about the decades-old movements of squatting and building occupations in their respective countries. Generations of activists have participated in occupations of vacant buildings in Europe, beginning in the 1970s. With the worldwide rise of the Occupy movement, the deep reservoir of experience within the movements of political squatting have become suddenly significant. In two events at CUNY, these scholars and activists will share their methods for collective, participatory, interdisciplinary research and their knowledge of the history and present practices of squatting in Europe.

Congregation Segregation Again

Hey again bloggers, or whoever could be reading this blog. And even though on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 146. And those global revolutions of a movement of Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast, this blagh post seems to be about church, you know that holy place where one finds God, I think. And somehow I came across a conversation about finding a church to get baptized so one can be saved and not die and go to hell or something like that. And in that quest to find one of those baptize me and save me so I don't die and go to hell churches it was discovered that one must be a member of a church to get baptized. Hugh? What's up with that. A church bureaucratic loop? Church red tape? The one place that I would think would be inclusive and welcome all is exclusive with hoops to jump through. And so in that quest to find a church that would baptize non members it was discovered that there are no churches that baptize non members. And even if one is a member of that church, one must go to church classes before one gets baptized. Hugh? More church red tape? Does that internet bible Wikipedia have an answer for this? Has this be a member of a church to get baptized thing always been like this? Does one have to wander the earth the rest of ones days non baptized potentially burning in hell for the sake of not being a member of someones church. And so those find a church somewhere on planet earth that will baptize non members thoughts has me wanting to repost that Congregation Segregation blog post that was posted on this blog and my other blog some time a while ago in an attempt to maintain content for this blog whenever web 2.0 social media user generated content possible.

Easter must be coming up soon because the stores are filled with chocolate bunnies everywhere. And This Holy Week thing is making me wonder, are churches the most segregated places on planet earth? I just realized that every time I want to go to church I have to find a church mass, communion and religious worship service for my "Demonination" my nationality. For what reason can't all churches welcome everyone regardless of your race, color or creed. The one place where one goes to find God and be free is not free, it's segregated by nationality and denominations. It's either all Christian, all Protestant, all Jewish, all Episcopalian, all Catholic, all Muslim, all Buddhist or all something else.
This Tower of Babel confusion of the languages, cultures and nations thing has got me confused.
And what if I want to go to church with someone who is not my nationality? We'd have to look around really hard to find a church that would accept both of our nationalities. I do believe there are some free, liberal, multicultural and diverse churches who welcome everyone such as Interfaith, Unitarian and Universalist churches who approach faith, religion and spirituality in a non traditional, creedless and non dogmatic way and have no creedal requirements imposed on their members. Times Square Church in Manhattan is an example of this. But for the most part, churches have always remained segregated.
I am losing faith in the churches for this reason, they seem Saint Hypocritical and Saint Elitist in their God loves you for who you are speeches. Where can I go to find God and not be judged by the color of my skin? Should I just become an Atheist? Happy Easter.

An Occupy Wall Street Quote

And on this day finds itself another one of those Sundays that has rolled around. The day of the sun, the day of rest. Or is that Saturday, the Sabbath. And yet I find myself blah blogging away for some reason or another. The only thing constant is change and some stories do not end as you expect. And unless you have been stuck in the stone age or under one of those rocks the past few months, one must have heard of Occupy Wall Street by now, that global revolution of a movement. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast. And in my travels throughout internetland on this day I came across one of those George Orwell quotes for this movement, and 2011, 12 = 1984, and also a Martin Niemoller quote that finds itself quoted for this Occupy Wall Street movement on this Occupy Wall Street day whose Martin Niemoller sermons quote title that seems to be called "First They Came", reads something like as follows:

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak out because I was Protestant.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Als die Nazis die Kommunisten holten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Kommunist.

Als sie die Sozialdemokraten einsperrten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Sozialdemokrat.

Als sie die Gewerkschafter holten,
habe ich nicht protestiert;
ich war ja kein Gewerkschafter.

Als sie die Juden holten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Jude.

Als sie mich holten,
gab es keinen mehr, der protestierte.
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me -
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

Other translations or variants:

In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;
And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up.
Twenty-five years later Niemöller indicated that this was the version he preferred, in a 1971 interview.
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I did not speak out;
As I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I did not speak out;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
As I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
As I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
When the Nazis arrested the Communists,
I said nothing; after all, I was not a Communist.
When they locked up the Social Democrats,
I said nothing; after all, I was not a Social Democrat.
When they arrested the trade unionists,
I said nothing; after all, I was not a trade unionist.
When they arrested me, there was no longer anyone who could protest.
First the Nazis came…
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me —
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

A Symbol

And somehow I came across this posting about swastikas throughout my internet travels in facebookland on this day. And I think that some people aren't aware that the swastika originates from a Hindu symbol, the Fylfot Cross. And the swastika is simply the Hindu, Himalayan and Brhamanist symbol for the wheel of life. the Nazis turned it around. The swastika can have many different meanings (the sun, the four directions, changes in the seasons, peace, and others, including Native American, Hindu, Buddhist, Celtic and Pagan traditions. And so I thought to post some of what that Symbol Dictionary website says in my attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blog whenever web 2.0 social media user generated content blaghers block possible. Have a great Fylfot Cross day and more.

The swastika is an archetypal, universal human religious symbol. It appears on every continent and is as old as humankind. A marker of the sun’s travels, it can be seen on Pictish rock carvings, adorning ancient Greek pottery, and on ancient Norse weapons and implements. It was scratched onto cave walls in France seven thousand years ago. A swastika marks the beginning of many Buddhist scriptures, and is often incised on the soles of the feet of the Buddha in statuary. In the Jain religion, the swastika is a symbol of the seventh Jina (Saint), the Tirthankara Suparsva. To Native Americans, the swastika is a symbol of the sun, the four directions, and the four seasons.

Geometrically, the swastika is a type of solar cross, with arms bent at right angles, suggesting a whirling or turning motion. Long before the symbol was co-opted as an emblem of Hitler’s Nazi party, it was a sacred symbol to Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist religions, as well as in Norse, Basque, Baltic, and Celtic Paganism. The name Swastika is derived from the Sanskrit language, from “su,” meaning “good,” and “vasti”,” meaning “being” (together; well being) In India, it is used as a fertility and good luck charm. The right turning Indian swastika symbolizes the sun and positive energy, and is most commonly associated with the deity Ganesh, a God of prosperity and wealth. Some Indians regard an anti-clockwise swastika as an opposing, dark force- a symbol of the godess Kali. Together, the two can be regarded as symbolically similar to the Yin Yang symbol of Taoism, or the two Pillars of Kabbalah. The swastika is also known for its uses in heraldry as the tetraskelion- the fylfot cross (fylfot meaning ‘four feet,’ a term used in european heraldry), the cross gammadion (because it resembles four greek letter ‘gammas.’), and the hakenkreutz (German, hooked cross).

The swastika used in Buddhist art and scripture is known as a Manji, and represents Dharma, universal harmony, and the balance of opposites. When facing left, it is the Omote (front) Manji, representing love and mercy. Facing right, it represents strength and intelligence, and is called the Ura (rear facing) Omoje. Balanced Manji are often found at the beginning and end of buddhist scriptures. You can read more about Manji here. In pre-Christian Pagan Europe, the swastika was generally a solar symbol, but in many cases, its use dates so far back in history that its original meaning is obscured. In Baltic regions, the swastika is sometimes called the “thunder cross,” and is associated with the Thunder God Perkons (Perkunis):

Hope You Don't Get Indefinitely Detained

And today finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 109. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together those global revolutions, are still moving fast. And it's 2012 this AD year, an awakening, a time for change. And somehow I came across that photo that finds itself posted above throughout my internet travels on this web 2.0 social media user generated content day. And that Hope You Don't Get Indefinitely Detained NDAA, National Defense Authorization Police State Martial Law Draconian of an Act law photo that finds itself posted above seems to speak for itself. This Act was signed quietly this past New Years Eve violating what little trust remained between the people and their established government. And what does this have to do with a No Police State.

Time Magazine Person of the Year 2011: The Protester

And Time Magazine has their recent issue with their Time Magazine Person of the Year 2011: The Protester article as its cover story that has appeared on this day. And I know Time Magazine has that recent Time Magazine Person of the Year 2011: The Protester issue that has appeared on this day because all of these news articles announcing that Time Magazine person of the year says so. And that description for that Time Magazine Person of the Year 2011 article at their website reads something like as follows.

"Person Of The Year. TIME. The Protester. From The Arab Spring To Athens, From Occupy Wall Street To Moscow."

"A year after a Tunisian fruit vendor set himself ablaze, dissent has spread across the Middle East, reaching Europe and the U.S., reshaping global politics and redefining people power."

An Occupy Wall Street GA Spokescouncil

And on this web 2.0 social media user generated content day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 80. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast. Or is it? Are they? And it is not so often every so often that I find myself blah blaghing someones facebook post, though this is one of those blaghing times that I find myself reposting that Facebook post, as that post and thread just seems Occupy Wall Street general assembly spokes council interesting to me in bloggerland. And if you happen to be in the neighborhood of that city of New York, as one can read from the text below, there is an occupy wall street general assembly spokes council meeting tonight. And that facebook excerpt of a post that wants to speak for itself reads something like as follows:

seen on facebook, an excerpt... - John Penley - I am going to say what I have been saying for awhile people need to go to Zuccotti especially tonight. If you care about OWSNYC GO and let your voice be heard. This is serious.
...the GA at 7pm? i can be there the last few times have been a mix of frustrating sad and somehow still inspiring because i still support and believe what is happening and being done but it's such a difficult road we have all embarked on...
...Earlier if possible. I believe the Occupiers are going to confront the Spokes Council....
...at zucotti or 60 wall street?...
Confront the Spokes Council? What do you mean confront the Spokes Council?...
...true those GAs can be irritating and overly bureaucratic but we need to be there...if it's money that is dividing people i'm almost of the spirit to say f, blip, blip, k the money let those hoarders have it but let's keep on track, although sadly the people deciding how to spend it are also the ones shaping the direction this movement takes, so we have to stand and keep it in line with original intention...
...Erek you have no idea what has been going on. When was the last time you were at Zuccotti ? The people who have been occupying are tired of decisions being made at a spokescouncil made up of people who never go to Zuccotti anymore....
...The spokescouncil people are going home to warm apartments and then meeting and making decisions for those on the street who have no contact with them. As anyone who has been following me knows I have been begging people to go back to Zuccotti for a long time....
...please if you have not been to Zuccotti or a spokes council in the last two weeks do no comment unless you are going tonight you don't have enough info to make a legitimate comment///
...since the spokes/ga peoole aren't connected to the people on the street any more, only each other from internet discussions and planned meeting indoors, a lot of people are left out of their considerations who are on the street and either can't get back into zucotti because they have large bags / sleeping bags etc, or aren't kept in the loop regarding when and where meetings are going to be held...they tried to get the angry homeless occupiers off their backs when i was there last time by telling them they could get food but only right then (in the middle of the GA) since it was being served a block away from the GA...it really seemed like a dirty trick, since they weren't hungry at all and had probably eaten but the people on the street were angry enough to say "fuck the food, we want to talk about this now"...
...Ok then you should know what is the problem sorry a lot of people are jumping in without having any facts....
...John: Spokescouncils and GAs have NEVER EVER been legitimate organizations. I have never submitted myself to their dictates or their wills. Just as I don't need to stand in the same fu blip, blip, ing park all the time to make a difference. It's all Spectacle, it's not real....

and so on and so on and so on...

And also...

John Penley
At this point there is a total disconnect between the Occupiers, the people going to Zuccotti Park every day and the Spokescouncil which is having meetings in warm spaces but not going to the GA in the park. The Spokescouncil must return to Zuccotti Park or everything will stop.
...Dude no money is going to help people until this is resolved and you have been out of town.
....I need to believe it's possible to reclaim the unity we saw in Sept...
....so sad to hear that ..in Los Angeles they are a bit disconected ..but it is just the fact they have no secure place to gather ...as far as i know , but they are not giving up by any means ..
...The spokescouncil must go all to Zuccotti and have a big GA...
....ll money is shut down until this is resolved...
....No if money is not spent people are getting thrown out of Churches and metro cards stop etc etc if you don't know what is going on you should wait til you get back to comment...
....i agree that if they do not begin to work with the occupiers then we should go to every GA and block their proposals to spend money at every turn...it is a sad solution but it will get their attention and force them to begin to work with the people again who put their asses on the line and in the cold every night...the last GA we went to people wanted to hire trainers for the Medical team to learn urban street survival tactics, which would have been fine and dandy to help the occupiers, except as I brought up, I have not seen any Medics on the street helping for the last couple weeks, so spending nearly 1600 dollars on that seemed kind of silly, why learn how to survive and help people on the streets, when you and your team are all living indoors?...
....at that same GA the people in the park who had been sleeping there for months, and were still hanging out there at night diidn't even recognize the people running the GA so began chanting "who are you? who are you?"...they had not even been sleeping there (or no one recognized them) and somehow still were managing things...
....I hesitate to suggest this but as an absolutely last possible resort, start a new donation line for the park Occupiers?....
....the spokescouncil is composed of representatives from the different working groups who represent their interests at the GA...
....I still do not understand why there has to be a Spokescouncil and when they are representatives they should be on the camp and then they see each other the whole day and you do not need representatives. By the way where are the actions against the 1%?....
....
and so on and so on and so on....

An Occupy Wall Street Drum Circle

Hey yet again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh. And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 67. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast. And there was an Occupy Wall Street drum circle in that city of New York a couple of days ago. And I know there was a OCCUPY BLOOMBERG'S MANSION DRUM CIRCLE PROTEST / ANTI-DICTATOR ART SHOW drum circle near that Central Park the other day because this facebook event invite and all of these OWS Protesters Bring Drum Circle To Mayor's Home news articles says so. And that Mayor Bloomberg's Assistant: EPIC FAIL YouTube video that finds itself posted above, well that just seems to Mayor Bloomberg's Assistant: EPIC FAIL drum circle performance art speak for itself. And that Occupy Wall Street drum circle near Mayor Bloomberg's house YouTube video that also finds itself posted above, well it just seems to Occupy Wall Street drum circle near Mayor Bloomberg's house rock. And so that Facebook event invite read something like "OCCUPY BLOOMBERG'S MANSION DRUM CIRCLE PROTEST / ANTI-DICTATOR ART SHOW. November 20 at 2:00pm until November 21 at 2:00pm. SHOW UP/ARRIVE AT 17 EAST 79 STREET AT 2PM TODAY!
BRING DRUMS AND OTHER MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND FOOD SLEEPING BAGS BANNERS ART AND ART SUPPLIES / LET'S OCCUPY THE PARK AT 79ST AND HAVE A LOVE-IN AND SERENADE MAYOR MIKE." We are the 99%. No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible. 2012. An awakening. A Time for change. Occupy wall street drum circles worldwide. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State.

Occupy Wall Street Worldwide

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blog. And so today finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 60. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast. And so on this day finds itself with headlines reading with titles like Police arrest 70 Wall Street protesters, New York police evict anti-Wall Street protesters, The NYPD is currently evicting #Occupy from Zuccotti Park, and the list of headlines goes on and on in headline news land. And this is what democracy looks like on this day. And this is what a police state looks like on this day when one turns on the computer, radio, television or walks by the newsstands to read the headline news on this day. 2012, a time for change. And for what reason does this we are the ninety nine percent of a global revolution movement seem as if it wants to all come down to property, who owns the land. Who's right is it to say that the land is for sale anyway. Parens Patraie, father of our country, father of the people. And for what reason does that word patriot have the word riot in it, and what does parens patraie, father of our country mean, as I think this word is what involuntary slavery and servitude is based on, maybe, the idea that the state owns an individual. A man is born free but he is in chains, I read somewhere. And does that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia have an entry for this phrase. And that NYPD raid video: OWS protesters arrested at Zuccotti Park YouTube video that finds itself posted above, well it just seems to NYPD, New York department of polizei raid video: OWS protesters arrested at Zuccotti Park speak for itself. And that other Occupy Wall Street Protesters Cleared From Zuccotti Park YouTube video that finds itself posted above also, well it just seems to Occupy Wall Street Protesters Cleared From Zuccotti Park speak for itself also. You can't evict an idea whose time has come. When justice ends, tyranny begins. No one is free when others are oppressed. We are the 99%. We are the legions. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Occupy Wall Street Worldwide.

"No Comment" Art Show

Hey again bloggers, or whoever could be reading this blog. And as far as I blagher know, Occupy Wall Street is still happening and it's Occupy Wall Street Day 20. And a No Comment Art Show is happening amongst a seemingly bazillion other events as part of that Occupy Wall Street worldwide event. And that description for that event reads as follows. And that photo that finds itself posted above, well it just seems to Occupy Wall Street speak for itself. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State. Have a great Occupy Wall Street, art events and more day. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

We will mount an open art performance and exhibition party called " No comment" to be held at the historic JP Morgan building at 23 Wall Street on Saturday Oct 8th from 2 PM on.
This event will support the Occupy Wall Street protests. We will hold a silent auction of the art to raise funds to support the protests. We are looking for art, performance, video, to install during the event. Stand for art against power and have a great... time doing it.

We have a beautiful building right at the corner of Wall and Broad Street at 23 Wall Street . It is known as the JP Morgan building . It is the most capitalistic corner on Earth. It is a 25,000 square foot historic space in a very contested area. The show preceding the Pop-up show that will take place on Saturday October 8th is called 'No Comment". Marika Mairorova created "Loft in the Red Zone" an exhibition that exhibited artists responses to Sept 11th- ten years later. The Occupy Wall Street movement can be considered a healing for the contentious wound of 9/11. Many have objected to business as usual, Wall Street , capitalism as practiced. The fanatics that destroyed the World Trade Center and other targets had ideas about Western Society that had some relevance, despite their methods. This year the power of oligarchs has been transformed by people meeting and holding space. Where this movement is going is anyone's guess. Governments have fallen, secrets revealed, revolutions started, evolution occurring in real time in public view. it is such a difference from hidden cabals of the past. secret meetings hidden from public view. Process is visible as art and public truth. The Pop-up show supports the process that has been visible in Occupy Wall Street movement has invigorated thoughtful ideas about society, power and political process.
We, at Loft in the Red Zone, are very much looking forward to this collaboration..... Please help spread this call to creative action !!!

A Manifesto

Hey Bloggers, or whoever could be reading this blog. And in my web 2.0 social media user generated content blogaholicness, it is not so often that I find myself blah blogging the headlines. Okay, it is often. And this is one of those headlines of the day that I find myself blaghing with its titles and headlines as follows. And what commentary can I blog about this subject that has not already been said and is being said, I am not sure, as this seemingly communist, capitalist manifesto written afterwards seems to speak for itself:

"Man Crashes Plane Into Austin IRS Office .. Angry Suicide Note Posted",
"Small Plane Crashes Into I.R.S. Building in Texas",
"Suicidal Tax Protest: Joseph Stack Crashes Plane into IRS in Austin Texas",
"Joe Stack STATEMENT: Alleged Suicide Note From Austin Pilot Posted Online",
"The Manifesto Of Austin Texas Crash Pilot Joseph Andrew Stack",
"Joseph Stack Manifesto: Austin Plane Crash Pilot's Blog Text",
and a commentary...,"Isn't it obvious that Joe Stack was a Liberal? I mean if he was a Conservative he would have quoted Hitler....?",
and another commentary "How soon before Mr. Stack becomes the official Tea Party martyr?"

And for some reason that verse from the book, the bible seems to come to mind: "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows". 1 Timothy 6:10. And the Manifesto from the website Embedded Art, (Is that that art show in the name of security at the Akademie der Kunst in Berlin Germany, or is that something altogether different?...), that seems to be finding its way throughout internetland cyberworld on this day as follows. And the list of headlines goes on and on....

If you’re reading this, you’re no doubt asking yourself, “Why did this have to happen?” The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time. The writing process, started many months ago, was intended to be therapy in the face of the looming realization that there isn’t enough therapy in the world that can fix what is really broken. Needless to say, this rant could fill volumes with example after example if I would let it. I find the process of writing it frustrating, tedious, and probably pointless… especially given my gross inability to gracefully articulate my thoughts in light of the storm raging in my head. Exactly what is therapeutic about that I’m not sure, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
We are all taught as children that without laws there would be no society, only anarchy. Sadly, starting at early ages we in this country have been brainwashed to believe that, in return for our dedication and service, our government stands for justice for all. We are further brainwashed to believe that there is freedom in this place, and that we should be ready to lay our lives down for the noble principals represented by its founding fathers. Remember? One of these was “no taxation without representation”. I have spent the total years of my adulthood unlearning that crap from only a few years of my childhood. These days anyone who really stands up for that principal is promptly labeled a “crackpot”, traitor and worse.

While very few working people would say they haven’t had their fair share of taxes (as can I), in my lifetime I can say with a great degree of certainty that there has never been a politician cast a vote on any matter with the likes of me or my interests in mind. Nor, for that matter, are they the least bit interested in me or anything I have to say.
Why is it that a handful of thugs and plunderers can commit unthinkable atrocities (and in the case of the GM executives, for scores of years) and when it’s time for their gravy train to crash under the weight of their gluttony and overwhelming stupidity, the force of the full federal government has no difficulty coming to their aid within days if not hours? Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies. Yet, the political “representatives” (thieves, liars, and self-serving scumbags is far more accurate) have endless time to sit around for year after year and debate the state of the “terrible health care problem”. It’s clear they see no crisis as long as the dead people don’t get in the way of their corporate profits rolling in.
And justice? You’ve got to be kidding!
How can any rational individual explain that white elephant conundrum in the middle of our tax system and, indeed, our entire legal system? Here we have a system that is, by far, too complicated for the brightest of the master scholars to understand. Yet, it mercilessly “holds accountable” its victims, claiming that they’re responsible for fully complying with laws not even the experts understand. The law “requires” a signature on the bottom of a tax filing; yet no one can say truthfully that they understand what they are signing; if that’s not “duress” than what is. If this is not the measure of a totalitarian regime, nothing is.
How did I get here?
My introduction to the real American nightmare starts back in the early ‘80s. Unfortunately after more than 16 years of school, somewhere along the line I picked up the absurd, pompous notion that I could read and understand plain English. Some friends introduced me to a group of people who were having ‘tax code’ readings and discussions. In particular, zeroed in on a section relating to the wonderful “exemptions” that make institutions like the vulgar, corrupt Catholic Church so incredibly wealthy. We carefully studied the law (with the help of some of the “best”, high-paid, experienced tax lawyers in the business), and then began to do exactly what the “big boys” were doing (except that we weren’t steeling from our congregation or lying to the government about our massive profits in the name of God). We took a great deal of care to make it all visible, following all of the rules, exactly the way the law said it was to be done.
The intent of this exercise and our efforts was to bring about a much-needed re-evaluation of the laws that allow the monsters of organized religion to make such a mockery of people who earn an honest living. However, this is where I learned that there are two “interpretations” for every law; one for the very rich, and one for the rest of us… Oh, and the monsters are the very ones making and enforcing the laws; the inquisition is still alive and well today in this country.
That little lesson in patriotism cost me $40,000+, 10 years of my life, and set my retirement plans back to 0. It made me realize for the first time that I live in a country with an ideology that is based on a total and complete lie. It also made me realize, not only how naive I had been, but also the incredible stupidity of the American public; that they buy, hook, line, and sinker, the crap about their “freedom”… and that they continue to do so with eyes closed in the face of overwhelming evidence and all that keeps happening in front of them.
Before even having to make a shaky recovery from the sting of the first lesson on what justice really means in this country (around 1984 after making my way through engineering school and still another five years of “paying my dues”), I felt I finally had to take a chance of launching my dream of becoming an independent engineer.
On the subjects of engineers and dreams of independence, I should digress somewhat to say that I’m sure that I inherited the fascination for creative problem solving from my father. I realized this at a very young age.
The significance of independence, however, came much later during my early years of college; at the age of 18 or 19 when I was living on my own as student in an apartment in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. My neighbor was an elderly retired woman (80+ seemed ancient to me at that age) who was the widowed wife of a retired steel worker. Her husband had worked all his life in the steel mills of central Pennsylvania with promises from big business and the union that, for his 30 years of service, he would have a pension and medical care to look forward to in his retirement. Instead he was one of the thousands who got nothing because the incompetent mill management and corrupt union (not to mention the government) raided their pension funds and stole their retirement. All she had was social security to live on.
In retrospect, the situation was laughable because here I was living on peanut butter and bread (or Ritz crackers when I could afford to splurge) for months at a time. When I got to know this poor figure and heard her story I felt worse for her plight than for my own (I, after all, I thought I had everything to in front of me). I was genuinely appalled at one point, as we exchanged stories and commiserated with each other over our situations, when she in her grandmotherly fashion tried to convince me that I would be “healthier” eating cat food (like her) rather than trying to get all my substance from peanut butter and bread. I couldn’t quite go there, but the impression was made. I decided that I didn’t trust big business to take care of me, and that I would take responsibility for my own future and myself.
Return to the early ‘80s, and here I was off to a terrifying start as a ‘wet-behind-the-ears’ contract software engineer… and two years later, thanks to the fine backroom, midnight effort by the sleazy executives of Arthur Andersen (the very same folks who later brought us Enron and other such calamities) and an equally sleazy New York Senator (Patrick Moynihan), we saw the passage of 1986 tax reform act with its section 1706.
For you who are unfamiliar, here is the core text of the IRS Section 1706, defining the treatment of workers (such as contract engineers) for tax purposes. Visit this link for a conference committee report (http://www.synergistech.com/1706.shtml#ConferenceCommitteeReport) regarding the intended interpretation of Section 1706 and the relevant parts of Section 530, as amended. For information on how these laws affect technical services workers and their clients, read our discussion here (http://www.synergistech.com/ic-taxlaw.shtml).
SEC. 1706. TREATMENT OF CERTAIN TECHNICAL PERSONNEL.
(a) IN GENERAL - Section 530 of the Revenue Act of 1978 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection:
(d) EXCEPTION. - This section shall not apply in the case of an individual who pursuant to an arrangement between the taxpayer and another person, provides services for such other person as an engineer, designer, drafter, computer programmer, systems analyst, or other similarly skilled worker engaged in a similar line of work.
(b) EFFECTIVE DATE. - The amendment made by this section shall apply to remuneration paid and services rendered after December 31, 1986.
Note:
• “another person” is the client in the traditional job-shop relationship.
• “taxpayer” is the recruiter, broker, agency, or job shop.
• “individual”, “employee”, or “worker” is you.
Admittedly, you need to read the treatment to understand what it is saying but it’s not very complicated. The bottom line is that they may as well have put my name right in the text of section (d). Moreover, they could only have been more blunt if they would have came out and directly declared me a criminal and non-citizen slave. Twenty years later, I still can’t believe my eyes.
During 1987, I spent close to $5000 of my ‘pocket change’, and at least 1000 hours of my time writing, printing, and mailing to any senator, congressman, governor, or slug that might listen; none did, and they universally treated me as if I was wasting their time. I spent countless hours on the L.A. freeways driving to meetings and any and all of the disorganized professional groups who were attempting to mount a campaign against this atrocity. This, only to discover that our efforts were being easily derailed by a few moles from the brokers who were just beginning to enjoy the windfall from the new declaration of their “freedom”. Oh, and don’t forget, for all of the time I was spending on this, I was loosing income that I couldn’t bill clients.
After months of struggling it had clearly gotten to be a futile exercise. The best we could get for all of our trouble is a pronouncement from an IRS mouthpiece that they weren’t going to enforce that provision (read harass engineers and scientists). This immediately proved to be a lie, and the mere existence of the regulation began to have its impact on my bottom line; this, of course, was the intended effect.
Again, rewind my retirement plans back to 0 and shift them into idle. If I had any sense, I clearly should have left abandoned engineering and never looked back.
Instead I got busy working 100-hour workweeks. Then came the L.A. depression of the early 1990s. Our leaders decided that they didn’t need the all of those extra Air Force bases they had in Southern California, so they were closed; just like that. The result was economic devastation in the region that rivaled the widely publicized Texas S&L fiasco. However, because the government caused it, no one gave a shit about all of the young families who lost their homes or street after street of boarded up houses abandoned to the wealthy loan companies who received government funds to “shore up” their windfall. Again, I lost my retirement.
Years later, after weathering a divorce and the constant struggle trying to build some momentum with my business, I find myself once again beginning to finally pick up some speed. Then came the .COM bust and the 911 nightmare. Our leaders decided that all aircraft were grounded for what seemed like an eternity; and long after that, ‘special’ facilities like San Francisco were on security alert for months. This made access to my customers prohibitively expensive. Ironically, after what they had done the Government came to the aid of the airlines with billions of our tax dollars … as usual they left me to rot and die while they bailed out their rich, incompetent cronies WITH MY MONEY! After these events, there went my business but not quite yet all of my retirement and savings.
By this time, I’m thinking that it might be good for a change. Bye to California, I’ll try Austin for a while. So I moved, only to find out that this is a place with a highly inflated sense of self-importance and where damn little real engineering work is done. I’ve never experienced such a hard time finding work. The rates are 1/3 of what I was earning before the crash, because pay rates here are fixed by the three or four large companies in the area who are in collusion to drive down prices and wages… and this happens because the justice department is all on the take and doesn’t give a fuck about serving anyone or anything but themselves and their rich buddies.
To survive, I was forced to cannibalize my savings and retirement, the last of which was a small IRA. This came in a year with mammoth expenses and not a single dollar of income. I filed no return that year thinking that because I didn’t have any income there was no need. The sleazy government decided that they disagreed. But they didn’t notify me in time for me to launch a legal objection so when I attempted to get a protest filed with the court I was told I was no longer entitled to due process because the time to file ran out. Bend over for another $10,000 helping of justice.
So now we come to the present. After my experience with the CPA world, following the business crash I swore that I’d never enter another accountant’s office again. But here I am with a new marriage and a boatload of undocumented income, not to mention an expensive new business asset, a piano, which I had no idea how to handle. After considerable thought I decided that it would be irresponsible NOT to get professional help; a very big mistake.
When we received the forms back I was very optimistic that they were in order. I had taken all of the years information to Bill Ross, and he came back with results very similar to what I was expecting. Except that he had neglected to include the contents of Sheryl’s unreported income; $12,700 worth of it. To make matters worse, Ross knew all along this was missing and I didn’t have a clue until he pointed it out in the middle of the audit. By that time it had become brutally evident that he was representing himself and not me.
This left me stuck in the middle of this disaster trying to defend transactions that have no relationship to anything tax-related (at least the tax-related transactions were poorly documented). Things I never knew anything about and things my wife had no clue would ever matter to anyone. The end result is… well, just look around.
I remember reading about the stock market crash before the “great” depression and how there were wealthy bankers and businessmen jumping out of windows when they realized they screwed up and lost everything. Isn’t it ironic how far we’ve come in 60 years in this country that they now know how to fix that little economic problem; they just steal from the middle class (who doesn’t have any say in it, elections are a joke) to cover their asses and it’s “business-as-usual”. Now when the wealthy fuck up, the poor get to die for the mistakes… isn’t that a clever, tidy solution.
As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.
I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough.
I can only hope that the numbers quickly get too big to be white washed and ignored that the American zombies wake up and revolt; it will take nothing less. I would only hope that by striking a nerve that stimulates the inevitable double standard, knee-jerk government reaction that results in more stupid draconian restrictions people wake up and begin to see the pompous political thugs and their mindless minions for what they are. Sadly, though I spent my entire life trying to believe it wasn’t so, but violence not only is the answer, it is the only answer. The cruel joke is that the really big chunks of shit at the top have known this all along and have been laughing, at and using this awareness against, fools like me all along.
I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.
The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.

A Naked Cowboy For Mayor

Hey Bloggers , or anyone who happens to be reading this blog, have you heard? The Naked Cowboy is running for Mayor. I know because practically every newspaper, radio station and television news report from yesterday says so. And The Naked Cowboy Rocks, or at least busks away on just about any given day to be found in Times Square in that City of New York. And what else is there to blah blog about that hasn't already been said about The Naked Cowboy, his underpants, cowboy boots and his guitar. And then there's that Times Square Alliance best of the buskers entertainment series, as Times Square is going green with its pedestrian plaza, it's the new thing. And according to yesterdays Metro Newspaper and The Naked Cowboys website also, his campaign slogan is "Because nobody has done more with less". Though Naked Cowboy is not alone in his race for Mayor of that city of New York, there's also Jimmy McMillan of the Rent Is Too Damn High Party, the Reverend Billy Talen of the Church of Stop Shopping Choir and others as well. And hey, here's a video of a band and that Naked Cowboy in Times Square performing as part of the Times Square Alliance Best of the Buskers entertainment series at the new Father Duffy Square. Have a great Naked Cowboy For Mayor day.

A Film

And so I somehow found myself watching this interesting film titled "The Black Legion" the other day. And according to that internet bible dictionary Wikipedia, "The Black Legion was an additional organization within the Ku Klux Klan and operated in the United States in the 1930's". And the film could be a political film that seems to be about some disgruntled factory worker who did not receive that promotion because of a foreigner who took his job. And we wrestle not against the powers of the flesh but against the spiritual wickedness that lies in high places. And this seemed to be one heck of a race relations film that could have been written by the republicans, democrats, or some segment of society themselves straight out of the civil rights movement and even to this day, some sort of law and orderism. And it is that tower of babel. And this Hollywood film seems to be about race relations, power, authority, violence, corruption, mind control, hate, revenge, capitalism, conspiracies, money, war and life . And it could be Cain and Abel and much more to be said about it. And I thought this film to be fiction, some made up story, though this made up story actually seems to be based upon real life events of long lore times ago and who knows, even these days and times. And this film could be the Illuminati, that secret society that may have designed and measures the dollar bill, the statue of liberty the Washington DC capital area, charts, graphs, architecture, structures and buildings. And this secret society could be the seeing eye that sees all, the scull and crossbones, the tree of life, x and y, male and female, good turned to bad, that snake on the medical staff of mercury that flies away on the wings of love mysticism and some sort of religion. And this film could almost be George Orwell's 1984, maybe. And it could be a depiction of life here on planet earth. And so I thought to add that interfaith symbol above as it is all the faiths and religions of a world. Coexist.. And what does a New World Order mean anyway. Does that have something to do with globalism and one world government, the upc bar code, RFID tag, the mark of the beast or something. And that could be a whole another blog entry. And who are these people in this film and who do they represent in the real world beyond film. Where is the world headed. And what if anything does this have to do with a No Police State.

Change

A change has come. And it is a change we can believe in. And those are the words that seems to be the motto of the day being that the McCain Obama elections in that country of America have come to pass. And the only thing constant is change. And on this day it seems to be Veterans Day in that country in America. Another patriotic holiday where guns and the people who use them are glorified. And yet the issue of gun control is nowhere to be found in this campaign. It all seems to be about the economy and uncle scam, I mean sam going broke and the New York Wall Street stock market exchange going out of business and having an everything must go sale. And yet headlines of gun violence like Fears of a Dem Crackdown lead to boom in gun sales and Large funeral expected for man allegedly shot by 8 year old son are appearing and still appearing on a daily basis with no end in sight. And yet another person has lost their life to gun violence for no reason at all except for the fact that guns and gun powder have been invented. And I could repost this blog entry over and over in my appeal to end gun violence, to banish guns from every human being on the face of planet earth. To banish guns from every form of marketing and advertising. It is a vicious cycle of some sort of beast that feeds upon itself, crime feeds the media, which feeds more advertising, which feeds more violence. Does not advertising influence society. Guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. And yet there are still gun shops and firearm dealers to be found in every state of America. A state of guns, firearms and weapons. Is this all the dark iron age of Kali Yuga descending. That yoga, Hindu, Buddhist symbol of the 21st century. And Kali Yuga is an age of struggle, strife, ignorance, vice and devices, sin, moral decline, disintegration and decay. What would Nebuchadnezzar's Dream have to say about this, some dream of a czar, zar. Is this all 2012 on track. It is not the stone age anymore. Is another world possible. And I am one blogger, one voice. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

The Dow Jones

Hey bloggers, it is a new day today, and as I find myself browsing this thing called the internet on this day, the day after that historic day the other day of those elections. I find myself coming across a headline that reads Dow off 443 as slump deepins. With content that mentions "Stocks plunged again today, and the Dow Jones industrials suffered their worst two-day point loss ever." Will everyone be in the soup line now. Can everyone squat the world and have housing for free now, a basic necessity of human life. And this article seems to appear the day after that historical Presidential election that took place in America that is bringing subjects into the headlines such as "Socialism", "Jim Crow", "Slavery", "Diversity", "Marxism" and other terms that America is not used to hearing. And it is a new day today. And according to, was it New York Metro yesterday, the word of the day was "Free", as in freedom. And who is Dow Jones anyway. Is that some man whose last names is Jones. And I am still wondering, where is the issue of gun control in these elections. Is it possible to banish guns from every human being on the face of planet earth. Guns are the worst invention ever. And someone left a comment on this blog the other day that read "It is amazing how easily duped the sheeple of this world are. Keep them stupid and enslaved to money and they are easily herded to the slaughter". And what does that mean. Is another world possible. Hope and change as it has been said in the news lately. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

A Day In History

And with those presidential elections that happened yesterday, this day must be some sort of historical day in history not known since the beginning of time in America and as old as America itself with the election of a president yesterday. And so I found myself wandering around in search of a newspaper for one of those collectors editions on this what is being called a historic day in the presidential elections, and those newspapers were all sold out by 8am this morning and nowhere to be found. And the only thing left in their place were "Sold Out" signs. And I must have encountered about four other people who were on one of those same in search of a newspaper for a collectors item of those presidential elections yesterday as I was. And after about the tenth store, I gave up in search of that presidential collectors edition of a newly elected president of America. And this election is bringing terms into the news like "Jim Crow". And who or what is a Jim Crow and a Jim Crow Law. And that can be a whole another blog posting. And today's edition of the New York Metro Newspaper, that free newspaper that I happen to get a copy of today, says the word of the day is: Free: adjective 1. enjoying personal rights of liberty, as a person who is not in slavery: a land of free people. 2. existing under, characterized by, or possessing civil and political liberties that are, as a rule, constitutionally guaranteed by representative government: the free nations of the world. And not since memory, have I heard and seen the sounds and cries of joy in the streets as I have heard last night. Have a great election day after.

Discrimination Nation

When tyranny ends, justice begins. And still when it seems as if the world is and could be falling down all around me and spinning out of control when one reads the news and the world news, I still find myself blah blogging away on this blog for some reason. And that Babylon tower of Babel unity, confusion story thing comes to mind on this day. "And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech...And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth...And the Lord said, Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech...Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth". And what's up with that Bible, that most widely read book of all time. Are these stories all true? If you believe. And so in these thoughts again, for what reason do those job applications, workplace applications, housing applications, and a lot of other applications that are passing me by at the moment, have that phrase that says something like: "This place does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,creed,religion, looks, clothing, hair, food and a list of other stuff", and then the check your nationality box if you are black, red, white, yellow, asian,orange, green, caucasian, african american, indian, purple, human, alien, animal, martian, plant and a list of other things on them if there is no discrimination or status quo at their venue. And what does status quo mean again anyway. A state of quota? A quota of the state? And a state of what? And for what reason does that word discriminate have the letters crime and criminal in it. What does this all mean, I cannot comprehend. Is another world possible. And what if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State.
