Occupy Psychiatry

And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 490 and Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together those global revolutions of a movement are still moving fast. And then there's Occupy Psychiatry.  And so I received this email in that email inbox on this day to where I find myself reposting it on this blog as follows. Psychiatry Kills. Abolish forced psychiatric treatment. Occupy Wall Street And Psychiatry Worldwide.

Hello,
Last week, I let you know about PsychRights' Letter to the President's Task Force on Gun Violence, which pointed out (1) that a mental illness diagnosis is essentially useless as a predictor of violence and (2) the gun violence discussion needs to include the role of psychiatric drugs in causing violence.  PsychRights was not the only one making these points.
However in the rush to pretend to do something, but in the absence of the political will to do anything meaningful about gun violence, a mob mentality has developed to further restrict the rights of people diagnosed with mental illness and force them to endure harmful, counterproductive, psychiatric interventions.  In other words, the only thing that all of the players at the table can agree to is, in effect, "Psychiatric Profiling."
New York rushed through a law that expands state and federal criminal databases of people labeled as mentally ill, unconnected to any actual crime or act of violence, and expanded outpatient commitment (forced drugging in the community).
President Obama's proposals yesterday include much the same.

In effect, the reaction has been to promote Psychiatric Profiling.   To protest this alarming rush to increased psychiatric oppression Tina Minkowitz, and others, have called for and launched the Occupy Psychiatry Event, National Day of Action to Stop Mental Health Profiling 1/21/13 MLK Day
The idea is for people to take action this Monday, January 21, 2013, on Martin Luther King Day.  Please "join," take photos, videos, etc., and post them to National Day of Action to Stop Mental Health Profiling 1/21/13 MLK Day.
This Day of Action is devoted to:
·         To protest the scapegoating of people labeled with mental illness by politicians, media, gun control advocates and the pro-gun lobby
·         To protest the discriminatory and coercive provisions of President Obama's actions and proposals.
·         To protest the "NY SAFE Act" rushed through NY's legislature and signed by Gov Cuomo.
·         To invoke our connection to Martin Luther King Jr. and the values and traditions of nonviolence:

:We are a nonviolent community
:Many of us have been traumatized by violence and do all we can to stop it
:We are being labeled and profiled wrongly as violent, because of the actions of a few individuals
:Forced psychiatry is violent
:The new laws being enacted - in NY and likely at the federal level and in other states - will further restrict our civil liberties and constitutional rights
:We are protesting nonviolently for our civil and human rights

*To affirm and celebrate our "creative maladjustment" to a society that pits neighbor against neighbor with a duty to report thoughtcrimes and eccentricities to the state

("Creative Maladjustment" comes from several of King's speeches, including a 1967 speech of King to the American Psychological Association where he called for an International Association to Advance Creative Maladjustment, see http://www.psychologytoday.com/print/53556. David Oaks and MindFreedom International have taken up this call as part of the Mad Pride movement, http://www.mindfreedom.org/kb/mental-health-global/iaacm. We honor David and wish him well in his recovery from serious injuries and surgery.)

****

On Martin Luther King Day, January 21, 2013, people everywhere are invited to hold demonstrations, vigils and any other nonviolent acts of expression and protest, to inform the public about our point of view and gather in solidarity.

Again, please "join" take photos, videos, etc., and post them to
National Day of Action to Stop Mental Health Profiling 1/21/13 MLK Day.

Or Tweet.  You can use hashtags #OccupyPsychiatry #StopMHProfiling and #CreativeMaladjustment

And New York City will be having an event as part of this action that reads something like as follows:

Stop Psychiatric Profiling event 1/21/13 in NYC:
the disability caucus of occupy wall street is organizing a silent demonstration at Grand Central Station information booth (center of the rotunda, down the ramp on the main floor) from 3-5 this coming M
onday afternoon
The Disability Caucus of OWS will be holding a silent vigil Monday, January 21, 2013, 3 to 5pm inside Grand Central Station (W.42nd and Park Ave.) in Manhattan and assembling at the Information booth in the middle of the rotunda.
Why?
*To protest the scapegoating of people labeled with mental illness by politicians, media, gun control advocates and the pro-gun lobby
the contact persons are

Occupy Psychiatry

And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street day one thousand and something. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast, I think. And then there is Black Lives Matter, and there is a March to shut down Rikers - Justice for Kalief Browder! No to criminalization! Facebook event for all things #blacklivesmatter related and beyond. And the only thing constant is change and some stories do not end as you expect. You can only play with the cards you are dealt with in life. And a bunch of other philosophies, random thoughts and sayings on this blogging day. And I have blogged about psychiatry and the mental death system on this blog before in times past, so much that I find myself recycling those same posts on this blagh every so often. And there is a Google+ group called  Occupy Psychiatry, and a Facebook group called Speak Out Against Psychiatry also. And then there is that book, Mass Murderers in White Coats : Psychiatric Genocide in Nazi Germany and the United States. And then there are those articles I find myself coming across in internetland every so often about psych trickery with titles like America's Largest Mental Hospital Is a Jail and Study: 70% of People on Antidepressants Don’t Have Depression and Medical holocaust: Psych drugs have killed more than 5 million people over the last 10 years . And most people in psych cia trick hospitals, it is their own family that put them there. I have never believed in mental illness. I have always thought of mental illness as problems in living. Psychiatry is an art and not a science. An industry bigger than the war industry. And in other thoughts, and then there is Occupy the NRA and the latest gun violence headline that reads, "Charleston Shooting: What the Gunman Allegedly Told Churchgoers Before the Shooting". Guns are the worst invention ever. If only guns could be banished from every human being on planet earth.  And then there is that age of Pisces, age of Aquarius thing going on, I think. Wake up world. On the winter solstice, December 21, 2012, the end of the world isn't coming, it is simply the end of an age - the Age of Pisces - followed by the Age of Aquarius. At the present time we are going through a transitional change. And the description of that Occupy Psychiatry Google+ group reads something like:

"Occupy Psychiatry. Occupy Big Pharma. Psychiatry Kills. Abolish forced psychiatric treatment. During Nazi Germany the "mentally ill" were the first group killed by the nazis and were required to wear a yellow star badge. This community is inspired by Occupy Wall Street."

And so some of those posts in times past read something like the following as well:

And so I guess it seems to be recycle this blog day again today, as this is yet another one of those posts that found itself on this blog a while ago in an attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blog whenever web 2.0 social media user generated content blaghers block possible. Oh, and by the way, these days and times finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 87 of another Occupy Wall Street day.

Psych Trickery

And I am not sure what this all may mean, but these headlines keep repeating themselves, time after time, day after day. And though the names may change, the story remains the same. Another person takes another ones life because they were on psychiatric drugs. And the latest headlines being "NYPD Rips Taser Cops", an article that is to be found in last weeks NY Daily News. And this article seems as if the polizei are now using taser guns as a license to subdue someone, and the mentally ill to where that person loses their life. And this person was called an emotionally disturbed person, an EDP, or every day people. And I do not believe in mental illness. I think of mental illness as problems in living. Psychiatry is an art and not a science. And I do know that psychiatry kills and that psychiatrists are mass murders in white coats, as psychiatry and the mental health death system were born during Nazi Germany where the mentally ill were the first group killed by the nazis and were required to wear a yellow star badge. And I oppose involuntary psychiatric intervention because it is a violation of an individuals right to control his or her own soul, mind and body. And I oppose forced psychiatric procedures such as drugging, electroshock, psychosurgery, restraints, solitary confinement, and "aversive behaviour modification". And I oppose the psychiatric system because it is inherently tyrannical. And I oppose the psychiatric system because it is an extralegal parallel police force which suppresses cultural dissent. And I oppose that psych trickery for a whole lot of other reasons. And it is my hope that forced psychiatric treatment could be abolished. No one is free while others are oppressed. And I know that common neuroleptic psychiatric drugs such as Thorazine, Haldol, Prolixin, Navane, Mellaril, Stelazine, Compazine, Dartal, Daxolin, Lidone, Loxitane, Moban, Orap, Permitil, Prozac, Proketazine, Quide, Repoise, Serentil, Sparine, Taractan, Tindal, Trilafon, Vesprin and others cause brain damage and tardive dyskinesia. And it is these tranquilizers which cause homicidal and suicidal thoughts in individuals, creating more and more of these "A mental person takes another persons life" headlines. And so I thought to post this blog entry again that I posted from some time a while ago:

And there it is in the headlines in the news again today. The AM New York says it was the fourth shooting at a U.S. school in a week. Another person has lost their life to the latest rampage of the day. It is in the news on a daily basis so much that I am just going to repost a blog entry I posted just a few days ago:

There is was in the headlines again yesterday. A rampage occurred in a different state of America everyday this past week and another person has lost their life to gun violence with no end in sight. And it seems as if I could almost devote this blog to reposting and repeating this blog entry over and over on a daily basis with no end in sight. The following is a blog entry that was posted a few days ago:
There it is in the news again today. Again, I could cut and paste my blog entries over and over in my appeal to banish guns from every human being on the face of planet earth and to end the use of the images of guns in all forms of advertising, marketing, film and television as I have written in blog posts of the past. Does not advertising influence society. Guns are the worst invention of an industry ever. The am New York had an interesting statistic in an article titled "Guns and people"; there are nine guns for every ten people in the United States, a scary statistic. And there is another interesting article in their paper titled "Mayors band together to combat gun violence", some sort of acknowledgement that there is a problem. And The Villager has interesting statistics in an article titled ""Lower East Siders blast back against gun violence", New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, told a forum that 30,000 people a year are killed in gun violence nationally. And yet another person has lost their life to gun violence, and everyday someone loses their lives to acts of gun violence for whatever reason and no reason at all except for the fact that guns have been invented. It is a story that has been told in yesterdays headlines and will be told in tomorrows headlines with no end in sight. It is an industry that feeds on itself, advertisement and sensational nationalism breeds crime which breeds news, which breeds crime, which breeds more advertisement which breeds more crime. Will the cycle of the beast that has it's grip on humanity ever end. Should not guns be abolished from humanity as a whole, from everyone on the face of planet earth. And then there is that constitutional 4th amendment, the right to bear arms that should be abolished or rewritten to abolish guns and replace them with sticks and stones or something. The idea that property, material goods are worth more than life. It seems as if it is that story "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" and the whole world is paying with the loss of human life which seems to be a disposal commodity in the war industry of people against humanity. Are the slaughters of wars debasing the value of human life? Will the beast, who or whatever it is, ever release it's grip on mankind? Are the standards of social behavior declining? Is there a worldwide moral breakdown? Is society collapsing? Where is the world headed, is there hope? And one could turn the page of the newspaper and forget about these stories and daily atrocities of the world, yet they still exist. And I watched that film Bowling For Columbine by Michael Moore the other day. It is an amazing documentary to me never seen before in the history of time. And the on the back cover jacket for this film it says: "Acclaimmed filmaker Michael Moore (Roger & Me) takes aim at America's love affair with guns and violence in this Oscar winning film that "demands attention" (People)! Mixing riveting footage, hilarious animation and candid interviews with everyone from the NRA's Charlton Heston to shock rocker Marilyn Manson, Bowling for Columbine is a "brilliant" (The Hollywood Reporter) tour de force of filmaking." I am one voice, one blogger. If only it were possible to go back in time before guns existed. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?
And this latest massacre of the day story, as well as another loss of life story of the day earlier this week are also a psychiatric state. So much that I just find myself reposting the same blog entry I posted just a few weeks ago it seems: And what doe these stories have to do with a No Police State?

And my friend gave me a flyer as we were discussing the latest atrocity of the day in relation to gun violence. It is a flyer she received back in April at Union Square Park of New York City. And it is a flyer about gun violence and psychiatry. The Pharmaceutical industry is bigger than the war industry. Psychiatry Kills. Abolished forced psychiatric treatment. And what's that "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" film by Ken Kesey all about anyway. That's a whole another blog posting. For all things human rights and psych cia trickery and alternatives to the mental death system, Mind Freedom is a great website to visit to support human rights in the mental health system. I am one voice, one blogger. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?
And the flyer went on to read:

What caused the tragedy in "this state"?

It was reported in the Times and the Post Wednesday:

The killer had been taking anti-depressants.

All too often in the present age, we hear the tragic news of a senseless massacre somewhere in the country. Experience has shown, that the killer has almost always, if not absolutely always, been someone who had been prescribed anti-depressants.

The killers with names were kids who had been prescribed the anti-depressant ritalin.
The man who shot someone at this place had been prescribed an anti-depressant whose classic symptom is extreme rage directed at one specific person. The killers in the recent massacres in three different states, also one in another state, had been taking various prescription anti depressants.

Pharmaceutical drugs are prescribed, not as a last resort but as a first thought, not hesitantly but hastily and with excess. They are not properly used, but abused, with no thought of the side effects of taking chemicals which nature did not produce and evolution did not plan for us to be subjected to, like bug spray or insecticide. And this is not a small and isolated phenomenon, but rather a deliberate and systematic poisoning of the bodies and minds of the American people, on an epidemic scale.

The concentration of power, Mr. Moneybags, the State, which controls the American military-industrial complex and the pharmaceutical chemical companies that are an integral part of that system, the State, which, as Eisenhower warned, would one day gain undue influence and endanger our Liberties, has an interest in promoting this epidemic scourge of prescription drug use. Hundreds of billions of dollars a year, are made by the corporations that sell these drugs. It is big business. In addition, the State which experience has shown, for thousands of years all over the globe, tends to want to empower itself and dis-empower the People, gets exactly that benefit from this epidemic of drug use. Power and authority, competency and incompetency breeds corruption. It dis-empowers individuals by making them unhealthy. And it dis-empowers the community and the nation, by making people distrustful of each other; by making people think that their neighbor is a crazy person who they must be protected from; by persuading the People to accept, even to demand, increased police power of the State to protect them. Under such conditions even the will to independence vanishes.

The innovations of scientists and engineers are stolen and subverted by the concentrations of power; a virtue has become a vice, and chemical technology, which can and of right ought to be a liberating force in society, becomes enslaving.

Doctors are encouraged, by the drug industry, to prescribe artificial drugs to their patients. It is a regular practice, for the drug companies to pay a doctor a fee every time that doctor prescribes one of their drugs. It is no secret. In this way, the basic essential character of the American medical profession becomes one of conflict of interest.

The companies that make these drugs exert a great deal of pressure upon the mass media. There are huge advertising contracts, and there is an overlap of ownership between the drug companies and the media companies. The fact that a mass murderer was taking prescription drugs, is one of those things that will show up once in the newspapers, but is immediately and finally buried, and mum becomes the word.

There have been a thousand analyses of the killer in papers, of his history, his personality, his psychological problems; there have been a thousand demands for increased police powers; there have been a thousand calls for the outlawing of guns, and a general de-clawing of the People. But has anyone asked, how is it that society produces so many sick people?

Prescription anti-depressants are known to be a common cause of suicide; they are known to be a constant presence in senseless massacres. Surely the number of individual murders caused by these drugs must be many times greater than the number of massacres. And if there are so many suicides and murders, how many people taking pharmaceuticals must be gravely suffering, but have not quite yet arrived at the point of suicide or murder?

This epidemic of drug use, this deliberate poisoning of the bodies and minds of the American people, this deliberate, and thus far largely successful, did-empowerment of the American people, must stop. It is our purpose to reveal this truth to the American people, so that we may once again live in a sane and healthy society and the tragic deaths of so many good people in this State shall not have been in vain.

No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State.

Michael Jackson

And with the news of the day that seems as if it is prempting all other news. Michael Jackson, the king of pop, has passed away from cardiac arrest, and according to TMZ.com, as yet another victim of hollywood and psychiatry, painkillers, morphine and demerol. And I found myself posting this following post on this blog a while ago:

Hey Bloggers, and somehow I came across this video while youtubeing on YouTube the other day in search of youtubeness and that "Claudine" movie from the sixties, that lead me to "Sparkle" that other classic movie from I think the 80's that then led me somehow to Donny Hathaway,a composer who has songs in these films. And his songs seem as if they can bring the holy ghost to one with their gospel overtones. And it is really cool to me the idea that one can watch whole films and television shows on YouTube for if nothing else to do, seemingly hours at a time, endless. And so in my search for this Donny Hathaway, Giving Up (Live At The Astrodome) video that came up. it was somehow written that Donny Hathaway was another one of those entertainers who died a tragic death and whose life was cut short, possibly as the result of Hollywood production companies, psychiatry and its psychotropic medications of bug spray chemical lobotomies mainly. And this entertainer seems to have passed along the lines of so many countless entertainers and classic legends as Marilyn, Anna, Keith, Kurt, Elvis and other entertainers of hollywood who could have possibly become victims of hollywood, the mental death system, psychiatry and contracts. And Psychiatry Kills. Abolish involuntary forced psychiatric treatment. No one is free while others are oppressed. And I do not believe in mental illness. I have always thought of it as problems in living. And those EDP emotionally disturbed people are everyday people to me. And I have always thought of psych cia tricks as legalized drug dealers, mass murderers in white coats, an industry bigger than the war industry originating in Nazi Germany whose origin is of eugenics and genocide. And for all things alternatives to psychiatry, Mind Freedom is a good website to visit for human rights in the mental health system. And what, if anything does this have to to do with a No Police State. Have a great entertainment day.

Alternatives Beyond Psychiatry

And so I saw my friend Laura the other day, over these end of the year, New Years Day holidays. And her being as anti Big Pharma, American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), Friends and Alliances of the Mentally Ill (FAMI) parents who lock up their kids in wards, mental death system and everything else psych cia trick oppression in between, as am I also, she had this book with her that she wrote a chapter for. And Laura has been one of those "Abolish forced psychiatric treatment, Psychiatry Kills" advocates for as long as I can remember. And the book is called Alternatives Beyond Psychiatry edited by Peter Stastny, Peter Lehmann, with a preface by Robert Whiteker. I haven't exactly read this book yet but I am sure it addresses the atrocities of the mental death system which includes eugenics inspired psychiatric killing centers in Nazi Germany which is how the holocaust began, and that this book advocates humane alternatives to the mental health system, psychiatric drugs, electroshock and locked wards. And the cover of the book is interesting, there must be photos of about sixty or so authors who again I assume speak for alternative for psychiatry. And among them is David Oaks, founder of Support Coalition International, an organization that addresses alternatives to psychiatry for as as long as I can remember. And in this book there are chapters by Laura Ziegler, Jim Gottstein, Kate Millett, Marius Romme and Sandra Escher, Gisela Sartori, Rufus May, Jan Wallcraft, Philip Thomas and Salma Yasmeen, Bruce Levine and many others. And there is another book advertised on the last page, "Coming Off Psychiatric Drugs: Successful Withdrawal from Neuroleptics, Antidepressants, Lithium, Carbamazepine and Tranquilizers", edited by Peter Lehmann, Prefaces by Judi Chamberlin, Pirkko Lahti and Loren R. Mosher. And I would think that this book would have a message to share for alternative to the mental death system. Whether these books will change the world, I am not sure. Is another world possible. And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

Trader Woes

And after having went to that popular New York supermarket Trader Joes, who can't seem to keep their shelves stocked fast enough, I thought of this day as Trader Woes as the New York Stock Exchange, Wall Street Dow Jones economy seems to be tanking and going downhill on this day, so much that the Federal Reserve can not seem to print up enough money fast enough to cover it all. And is this the beginning or the end of a recession depression. And maybe everyone could squat the world, free the land and be free, or at least housing could be free. No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible? And in other thoughts, That "The Conscious Objector", "Life, Liberty and...Is America Driving You Crazy?" article written by Amanda Park Taylor in this weeks L Magazine, that events magazine that is to be found just about everywhere in those corner boxes on the streets in that City of New York, is really interesting. And those Amanda Park Taylor articles are always really cool to read to me as they seem to be environmental related and seek to save the world and planet mother earth. And this weeks article seems to be an exception in that it mentions psychiatry and its hazards, and dared to go where no man has gone before, or usually goes before in the media, in speaking about psychiatry. And that is awesome to me. And her article went on to say something about one in four college students is now taking antidepressants, a quarter of the soldiers returning from Iraq are diagnosed with mental illness, a huge growing percentage of children are on psychoactive medications, for either depression, or, more commonly ADD/ADHD, and the overall incidence of "mental illness" has nearly doubled since 1987, when Prozac was introduced, and that the drug industry has a lot of power and are not into alternative therapies where there is no money to be made from insurance. And her article goes on to say many more interesting things about medication and the pharmaceutical drug industry. And I am against psychiatry. Psychiatry Kills. Psychiatrists and their treatments are mass murderers in white coats, as descendants of Nazi Germany where psychiatry and the mental death system was born, maybe. Abolish forced psychiatric treatment. For all things mental health human rights and alternatives to the mental health death system, MindFreedom is a good website to visit. And what, if anything does this have to do with a No Police State?

An INTAR Conference

Hey bloggers, or whoever could be reading this blog. And so I found myself at this INTAR conference at the Kimmel Center, New York University the other day, for some reason or another. And in case you could be wondering who or what INTAR is, Intar stands for International Network Toward Alternatives And Recovery. And I think this is yet another one of those consumer, survivor, provider, possible Alternatives conferences to the mental health death system where everyone gathers to attempt to save the world from psych cia tricks. And that Inter sticker to be found on that folder read something like "INTAR, Rethinking Psychiatric Crisis: Alternative Responses To :First Breaks". And some of those speeches at that conference went something like " Alternatives Beyond Psychiatry, and it could be the marginalized preaching to the converted in the face of the pharmaceutical war and commercial advertising and marketing of psych drugs industry, the consumer survivor, and it could be Ken Kesey's One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest, and what does it mean to be diagnosed crazy in a society this itself could be kind of crazy. Who is to say what is normal. And then there was the medications, treatments, danger to self and danger to others, electroshock therapy, released after your insurance runs out, homeless shelters, DSMII manuals, alternatives, yoga, meditation, psychiatric survivors, altered states, psychotic experiences, psychotic episodes, prison industrial complex, psychiatry as bigger than the war industries speeches. And psychiatry can be mass murders in white coats, legalized drug dealers, descendants of Nazi Germany and eugenics, maybe. And can one be for or against big pharma as I have heard it said somewhere before. And some of those workshops and topics in that conference literature they provided included: Why do we need Alternatives, What are the Key Alternatives, multimedia performances and speakers that included Celia Brown, Will Hall, Sue Estroff, Alma Menn, Mary Olson, Ron Bassman, Peter Stastny, David Cohen, Harvey Rosenthal, Kim Hopper, Andy Blanch, Robert Whitaker, Lauren Tenny, Thomas Bock, Laura Prescott and a host of others. And Psychiatry Kills. Abolish Involuntary Forced Psychiatric Treatment. No one is free while others are oppressed. For all things alternatives to the mental death system, David Oaks Mind Freedom and Support Coalition International are a good website to visit. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State?

Psych Trickery Again

And so I guess it seems to be recycle this blog day again today, as this is yet another one of those posts that found itself on this blog a while ago in an attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blog whenever web 2.0 social media user generated content blaghers block possible. Oh, and by the way, these days and times finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 87 of another Occupy Wall Street day.

A Year End 2018

And I almost forgot about this blog for a second, as it has been a while since I signed in to this blog in an attempt to post something to maintain web 2.0 user generated content for this blagh and my other blagh whenever blaghers block possible. And what else is there that I can say about year ends and new years in all of the years that I have been blogging on this blog that has not already been said in the bloggers time that I have posted about new years day times before. Well, another Gregorian calendar year has come to pass here on planet earth. And in between being consumed with those holiday markets in that New York City area, reading the headline news of the day and being consumed with what seems like a Facebook, Twitter, social media and internet addiction, I find myself reflecting on the ghosts of the past, present and future to realize that even though life can be a struggle and that my New Years resolutions sometimes seem to wind up being one of those Realistic New Year's Resolutions that finds itself in one of those photos posted above, that there are some people with seemingly no New Years Resolutions at all who have taken their lives and who are no longer with us here on planet earth, as there seems to have been an epidemic of suicides, particularly in the squatter community here in New York City the past year or so of squatters and their kids and the stories of other squatter related suicides as well as hollywood and other suicides in the headline news in the past year or so of people ending their lives for whatever reason. Now I am no mental health professional but I do know that psychiatry kills and to abolish forced psych cia treatment and that psychiatry has its roots in nazi Germany and that for all things alternative to the mental death system, mindfreedom.org is a good website to visit, as I have blaghed about psychiatry and the mental death system on this blagh times before.  And as I ramble those other thoughts that come to mind on this New Years Eve 2018 day amidst all of the wishes of peace, love, prosperity, creative energy, good health and great happiness in the new year and beyond, those overpriced New Years Eve events are going on again this year in the New York City area and come to mind.  There's that annual Times Square New Years Eve event where one goes to see the ball drop that looks like one will be descending into a war zone police state with all of the polizei and drones that will be surrounding that event this year. And then there's Jeff Stark's nonsense nyc list again, with a list of those really cool independent New Year's Eve culture events in New York City that reads as follows:

Rinsed presents:
Gusto NYE 2019
The private, low-key house party is the family vibe New Year’s Eve we’ve all been craving. No $100 tickets or bottle service foolery, legit taking over a legendary theater — turned someone’s crib (one of the last few around in this fair city …), and celebrating NYE the right way, with all our loves and zero fuckery.
No hyperbole on the venue, Steve Buscemi used to crack jokes here. A few feminist mud wrestling matches hosted by Andy Kaufman. Casual. These days the spot is actually an apartment, a relic of the old New York where you may just happen to stumble into a hidden blood diamond. He’s been generous enough to let us invite a hundred or so unruly friends and family members in and celebrate the New Year the only way we want to.
Including: an intoxicating 1-hour long open bar (11:30p-12:30a); dynamic music by some well-known DJs (we’re not telling you who); lights by Ocular Presence; and a giant head sculpture DJ booth (yes there’s a giant head inside, and it vapes).

Mister Sunday Holiday Party
Theo Parrish will kick off the daytime part of this marathon club session, which stretches for over 24 hours starting at 6p on New Year’s Eve. With Physical Therapy, Nina BC, Matt Werth, Justin Carter, Hypnotic Spa, Eamon Harkin, Duane Harriott, DJ Voices, D. Tiffany, Christy Love, Beta Librae, and Anthony Naples.
We’ve had lots and lots and lots of fun times down this way in 2018, but we’re kissing them goodbye and rolling in the New Year with a fresh batch of those nice, heavy, heady party vibes that you’ve come to expect inside (and outside) these walls.
We’ve enlisted a big crew of our always incredible resident DJs and a few gifted guest selectors to set the pace for one major party that’ll kick off at 6pm on New Year’s Eve and go into New Year’s Day and likely beyond — no stopping at the bar, no stopping in the booth and no stopping on the dance floor. We’ll start the festivities with a special, communal-dinner-inclusive Planetarium session featuring RVNG boss Matt Werth, Nina BC of Working Women and Planetarium mastermind Justin Carter.
At 10pm we’ll switch gears with residents Beta Librae, Duane Harriott, Eamon Harkin, Anthony Naples and Physical Therapy joined by special guests Christy Love, Theo Parrish (who’ll be playing for six hours on New Year’s morning) and D. Tiffany for one massive session between the hi-fi stacks.
We’ll have tasty snacks from the kitchen to keep you nourished throughout, and there’ll be plenty of action out in the back yard, too – the fire pits will be roaring, the outdoor bar will have the hot drinks on lock, the sauna will be in full swing and there’ll be an ambient sunrise session in the the yurt from DJ Voices and Hypnotic Spa (that’s DJ Sofiia and Milo McBride for this occasion).
Tickets will be timed for this one, and there’s a full explanation below on how that will work. Nothing too complicated, but do have a read if you’re coming. Just remember that you must arrive between the hours listed on your ticket. Once you’ve come in during the designated window time on your ticket, you can come and go as you please. If you don’t enter during the time designated window of time, you’ll lose your spot and need to buy a new ticket (assuming there’s space inside). Once you’re inside, can also stay as long as you’d like as long as you abide by our safer space policy (more on that below).

JunXion
JunXion has always been a place where different roads converge, a place for diversity, a place to play, a place to explore and a space to transform. Our celebrations and Xperiences are a direct expression of the richness of who we are. From parking lots, to renegade parades, to mansions and beaches, to secret bus rides and endless sunrise. To the djays, and musicians, the performers and the artists. To the lovers and the dancers and the friendships that have been fostered. We see you. We love you.
We are all the co-creators in this grand play. That is why we are committed more than ever to creating safer more transformative spaces. And now the next Act is upon us. This NYE we plant the seeds for what’s to come and give rise to A New Dawn.
We have assembled some of our dearest collaborators to give life to this night and now all we need is you. Tickets for A New Dawn will move up Wednesday. As a token of gratitude for those on this list, use this special discount from now till Wednesday.
