Alternatives Beyond Psychiatry

And so I saw my friend Laura the other day, over these end of the year, New Years Day holidays. And her being as anti Big Pharma, American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), Friends and Alliances of the Mentally Ill (FAMI) parents who lock up their kids in wards, mental death system and everything else psych cia trick oppression in between, as am I also, she had this book with her that she wrote a chapter for. And Laura has been one of those "Abolish forced psychiatric treatment, Psychiatry Kills" advocates for as long as I can remember. And the book is called Alternatives Beyond Psychiatry edited by Peter Stastny, Peter Lehmann, with a preface by Robert Whiteker. I haven't exactly read this book yet but I am sure it addresses the atrocities of the mental death system which includes eugenics inspired psychiatric killing centers in Nazi Germany which is how the holocaust began, and that this book advocates humane alternatives to the mental health system, psychiatric drugs, electroshock and locked wards. And the cover of the book is interesting, there must be photos of about sixty or so authors who again I assume speak for alternative for psychiatry. And among them is David Oaks, founder of Support Coalition International, an organization that addresses alternatives to psychiatry for as as long as I can remember. And in this book there are chapters by Laura Ziegler, Jim Gottstein, Kate Millett, Marius Romme and Sandra Escher, Gisela Sartori, Rufus May, Jan Wallcraft, Philip Thomas and Salma Yasmeen, Bruce Levine and many others. And there is another book advertised on the last page, "Coming Off Psychiatric Drugs: Successful Withdrawal from Neuroleptics, Antidepressants, Lithium, Carbamazepine and Tranquilizers", edited by Peter Lehmann, Prefaces by Judi Chamberlin, Pirkko Lahti and Loren R. Mosher. And I would think that this book would have a message to share for alternative to the mental death system. Whether these books will change the world, I am not sure. Is another world possible. And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.
