A Union Square Holiday Market in New York City

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh. And so it seems like that holiday of Christmas has rolled around again here on planet earth according to that Gregorian calendar on the wall. And with this holiday season comes those holiday markets and that Union Square Holiday Market in New York City that I found myself attempting to vend those Tompkins Square Park, Union Square Park and Washington Square Park t - shirts for $10 each at, well next to the holiday market, in vendors row, instead of those Black Lives Matter necklaces, magnets, key chains and pins that I sometimes find myself attempting to vend there.

And in all blogger honesty, it was a day of an attempt to vend those t - shirts for $10 each while hiding out and waiting for the New York City Parks Department green park ranger cops to leave cause "you can't sell clothing here", in the middle of winter where you sell three whole t-shirts in three hours.

And this year of 2025, Urban Space has pop up markets in New York City Holiday Markets of Herald Square, Columbus Circle, Holiday Shops at Bryant Park Winter Village, Macy's Holiday Square and Union Square which has 185 vendors featuring unique gifts created by local craftspeople, artists, and entrepreneurs where a single booth can cost $20,000.00, that's right! Twenty thousand dollars for one month.

And we are still living in crazy times as I type this blagh post and I am still waiting to see if that comet 3I/ATLAS is an alien invasion or not and other headline news of the day.

The only thing constant is change and some stories do not end as you expect. Have a great winter holiday and more.

A New York City Holiday Market

And it is a New Years Eve 2024 here in America as I type this blagh post. And according to that Gregorian calendar on the wall another new year 2025 has rolled around here on planet earth as that holiday of Christmas and Hanukkah has come to pass.

And it was also the annual MORUS Holiday Market and Christmas is the coldest day of the year event is here again this year. Please join us December 21, 22 and 24 @ Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space - MORUS where I found myself attempting to vend those Tompkins Square Park t shirts and Black Lives Matter necklaces, magnts, key chains and pins at along with Fly Orr substitutes and her "holiday" & "greeting cards" - zines - comics- books - CDs - t-shirts - pins - Fly-O-Art Prints and More... Fly also made a limited edition of memorial peops cards for Steven Englander, the director of ABC No Rio, that were available at our holiday market as in those photos and videos that find themselves posted above.

And a few of those share your holiday thoughts on our "Your Thoughts on the Holidays" banner that was hung up outside of morus thoughts were:

1. Capitalist Scam

2. TODAY

3. It's the thought that counts

4. Bah Humbug!

5. Cool

And then in other random blagher thoughts, it is also Alien invasions "drones" that have been in the news and most of my twitter feed lately. So much that it has me wondering if the apocalypse has started and I find myself typing things like:

"First drones, ufo's, aliens, fallen angels and demons everywhere and now mysterious chemical fog! And something about nanodust and nanobots to control human beings are in the fog. There is something going on!

Mysterious fog is enveloping the entire world and people are getting sick."

And so my religious fanaticism takes over to where I wonder if these "drones" as the news are calling them are manmade or simply fallen angels from the pit straight out of the book of revelations that goes something like:

It’s not The Fog- it’s THE MIST

And there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power"

Then the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit".
And so maybe these "drones" that seem to have morphed into chemical fog stuff will disappear as soon as the weather changes and it disappears from the news and my twitter and Facebook feed.

And that's not to mention the latest plannedemic scamdemic and all of the other wars, famines, plagues and wild beasts and horrible atrocities that seem to take place here on planet earth each day as well as simultaneous lightning strikes  at the US Capitol building and the Washington Monument in Washington DC and at the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center in New York City on New Year's Eve as if it is an omen that are in the news on this day.

One generation passeth away and another generation cometh. But the earth abideth forever. Some stories do not end as you expect and the only thing constant is change. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

A Fly - O - Art & Carla Holiday Market!

It is Christmas as I type this blog post, the day of Christ or Jesus Christ's day of birth, a few days until a new year according to that Gregorian calendar. A 123123 years end has rolled around here on planet earth and Israel is still at war as Jesus is in rubble and Christmas is Cancelled in Bethlehem, Jesus birthplace , there are "Free Gaza" protests happening on a seemingly daily basis in the New York City area and I am wondering if it is still a Dark Winter 2023.

And so this Fly - O - Art & Carla Holiday Market! in that city of New York, that finds itself posted in those photos and videos above, has also been a Morus Holiday Market that I have found myself vending at in years past, also turned into a Fly E bike story for Fly Orr who found herself posting on her Instagram page a few days before the holiday market:

Broken wrist. Got run over today. I mean yesterday by an E bike that took me down and then took off. Spent about seven hours in the ER before they finally put a cast on me. I am smiling because I am happy to be home finally but the pain is pretty bad. I can definitely say though that getting hit by an E bike is less painful than getting run over by an SUV so. .. There’s that. Six weeks they say. Ugh… I am doing my big annual holiday art sale on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Carla at the museum of reclaimed urban space. I have new Zine hot off the press. And some other cool stuff. But I left too much to the last minute, so it’s going to be, hard to get it all finished. Please come by the Art sale and say hi or just hang out or buy a new Zine or some cool holiday cards etc. I would really love to see my peoples.

And if I could rant and rave, I would reply to that e bike story that "These DoorDash, Grubhub and delivery for speed apps suck. I wish someone would get rid of these ebikes and scooters. They are a menace to society, outpacing cars for pedestrian injuries. I am scared to walk down the street because of them. These ebikes are not regulated and should require licenses and insurance for them, and that's not even including the lithium battery fires they are causing.'

And so the Facebook event invite for this event reads something like:

Join us. Fly - O - Art & Carla Holiday Market! Holiday ( & Any Day). Hand - stamped & signed greeting cards....Zines, Pins, Books, T-Shirts, Jewelry, CDs, etc... + Fly-O-Art Prints... & some free stuff!!
AND
Lotsa MoRUS Merch!
Friday. Dec 22. Sat. Dec 23. & Sun. Dec. 24. 1-6pm at Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space - MORUS

And thank you Frank Morales, for taking those "Manhattan" and "Money"  boxes out of my closet that's been sitting there for years, and thank you Fly's friend for buying that "Death Tarot Card" box that's been sitting in the closet for years. And thank you Katie and Elana for buying one of those Tompkins Square Park and Washington Square Park t shirts. Your Survival Without Rent film is really cool.

And then there is a Facebook photo from Frank Gonzalez that I came across in facebookland that reads:

Please join us for the first annual New Year's Eve Brunch at the Loisaida CommUnity Office. Special thanks to Kareem Holmes Big City Tourism Loisaida Realty lescommunityconcerns19 & LES Small Biz Alliance #LESsba #NewYearsBrunch #CommUnity

Every picture tells a story. One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. The only thing constant is change and some stories do not end as you expect. We are still living in crazy times. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

The Union Square Holiday Market Is Canceled

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh. This blog post isn't really about anything other than that the Union Square Holiday Market is cancelled this year, I guess because of these crazy and historical times we are living in. And Bryant Park Holiday Market is open this year, though Columbus Circle Holiday Market is cancelled, yet the Union Square Greenmarket, Farmers Market is open on this day as I attempt to display those Black Lives Matter banners and vend those Black Lives Matter, S#!t Just Got Real, Not My President, Occupy Wall Street, No Police State, Yoga, Brooklyn, Union Square Park and I Love New York necklaces, magnets, key chains and pins for $2 each at Union Square Park this past weekend.  And what the logic of these panicdemic restrictions are, I am not exactly sure, as one of those photos posted above has a sign in it that says "Stay home, stop the spread", right next to a sign that says "Come out to the market"  @grownyc. And these photos and videos that find themselves posted above are what a canceled Union Square Holiday Market looks like, or at least part of what a cancelled Union Square Holiday Market looks like on a Union Square Farmers Market day.  Have a great New York City holiday day and more, if possible, during these crazy and historical times we are living in
