An end of a Year 2025

Tompkins Square Park t - shirt Holiday Sale

Dear internet, it's a few days after that holiday of Christ and the end of a Gregorian calendar year 2025 has rolled around and the beginning of a new year 2026 here on planet earth has arrived that I am able to sign into this blog and post another blagh post in the age of big tech algorithms and social media censorship where I have found a couple of my social media pages banned, suspended or shut down in the name of community guidelines or modern day book burning as both the UK and Australia are both now under a massive censorship regime. And sometimes I wonder if I should call this blagh pro police state instead of no police state for it to last a little longer.

And so there was a Tompkins Square Park t - shirt Holiday Sale that I attempted to vend those banned Tompkins Square Park t - shirts at in Tompkins Square Park during SantaCon, that day when thousands of Santas descend on New York City that was a week before that annual MORUS Holiday Market of Fly and Carla handmade items where I attempted to vend black lives matter jewelry at in this holy day season in New York City.

And thank you Jeff Stark, Nonsense NYC and Eden for helping to get a few people to these events.

And that comet 3I/ATLAS alien invasion that I have been blaghing about for the past few months never happened as it passed by planet earth during it's closest approach December 19th on its way to Jupiter.

And it's been another year of more people passing away here on planet earth. So many that I found myself posting this passage on Facebook a few weeks ago:

dear facebook, i turn on facebook once a day to see that once a day someone I know of from my generation has died, or their parents have passed away. facebook has replaced myspace for online obituaries. i hate it that death is a part of life. and death has replaced birth for being the first post i see at the top of my facebook feed. this has been the worst year ever for deaths. one generation passes and another one comes but the earth abideth forever.

And if you have been on the Lower East Side or East Village it is called for real estate marketing purposes, squatter scene in the late 80's or early 90's, you may have heard of or came across John "The Communist" Potak, a squatter revolutionary and one of those 13th Street squatters who plastered his posters everywhere on light poles and beyond in that East Village neighborhood and went to countless demonstrations and marches with his class war on the poor spray painted on a sheet banners during those Tompkins Square Park police riots, homeless encampments and Squatter May Day concerts against police state repression, gentrification and war.

The if you need a home, take one, squatter community, is saddened to hear that John the Communist passed away December 16th. He was a prolific propagandist  And his banners remain. The only thing constant is change and some stories do not end as you expect.

A Fly - O - Art & Carla Holiday Market!

It is Christmas as I type this blog post, the day of Christ or Jesus Christ's day of birth, a few days until a new year according to that Gregorian calendar. A 123123 years end has rolled around here on planet earth and Israel is still at war as Jesus is in rubble and Christmas is Cancelled in Bethlehem, Jesus birthplace , there are "Free Gaza" protests happening on a seemingly daily basis in the New York City area and I am wondering if it is still a Dark Winter 2023.

And so this Fly - O - Art & Carla Holiday Market! in that city of New York, that finds itself posted in those photos and videos above, has also been a Morus Holiday Market that I have found myself vending at in years past, also turned into a Fly E bike story for Fly Orr who found herself posting on her Instagram page a few days before the holiday market:

Broken wrist. Got run over today. I mean yesterday by an E bike that took me down and then took off. Spent about seven hours in the ER before they finally put a cast on me. I am smiling because I am happy to be home finally but the pain is pretty bad. I can definitely say though that getting hit by an E bike is less painful than getting run over by an SUV so. .. There’s that. Six weeks they say. Ugh… I am doing my big annual holiday art sale on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Carla at the museum of reclaimed urban space. I have new Zine hot off the press. And some other cool stuff. But I left too much to the last minute, so it’s going to be, hard to get it all finished. Please come by the Art sale and say hi or just hang out or buy a new Zine or some cool holiday cards etc. I would really love to see my peoples.

And if I could rant and rave, I would reply to that e bike story that "These DoorDash, Grubhub and delivery for speed apps suck. I wish someone would get rid of these ebikes and scooters. They are a menace to society, outpacing cars for pedestrian injuries. I am scared to walk down the street because of them. These ebikes are not regulated and should require licenses and insurance for them, and that's not even including the lithium battery fires they are causing.'

And so the Facebook event invite for this event reads something like:

Join us. Fly - O - Art & Carla Holiday Market! Holiday ( & Any Day). Hand - stamped & signed greeting cards....Zines, Pins, Books, T-Shirts, Jewelry, CDs, etc... + Fly-O-Art Prints... & some free stuff!!
AND
Lotsa MoRUS Merch!
Friday. Dec 22. Sat. Dec 23. & Sun. Dec. 24. 1-6pm at Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space - MORUS

And thank you Frank Morales, for taking those "Manhattan" and "Money"  boxes out of my closet that's been sitting there for years, and thank you Fly's friend for buying that "Death Tarot Card" box that's been sitting in the closet for years. And thank you Katie and Elana for buying one of those Tompkins Square Park and Washington Square Park t shirts. Your Survival Without Rent film is really cool.

And then there is a Facebook photo from Frank Gonzalez that I came across in facebookland that reads:

Please join us for the first annual New Year's Eve Brunch at the Loisaida CommUnity Office. Special thanks to Kareem Holmes Big City Tourism Loisaida Realty lescommunityconcerns19 & LES Small Biz Alliance #LESsba #NewYearsBrunch #CommUnity

Every picture tells a story. One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. The only thing constant is change and some stories do not end as you expect. We are still living in crazy times. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

An End of the Year Holiday Event in New York City

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh. Another year here on planet earth. 2022, according to that Gregorian calendar, has passed since I last signed in to post on this blog. And in between following King Jesus and his Guardians of Divinity Drag Queen Story Hour protests at New York City Public Libraries, via East Ghost Reports, NJEG Media's videos and internet travel, and reading other, Agenda 2030, gog and magog and seemingly end of the world headline news of the day.....

It was also an attempt to have a MoRUS Fly & Carla Holiday Art Market on the coldest day in New York City in three years at the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space, that radical history museum that finds itself in that City of New York, where I attempted to vend that Black Lives Matter jewelry, those Tompkins Square Park T - Shirt 's with Fly Orr and lots of Fly hand stamped holiday cards and more. And if I could just copy and paste that MORUS mailing list information for this holiday market and other events at morus, because hey, it's less writing sometimes... And that Bill TIME'S UP events mailing list would read something like as follows:

Join us at a Rally to save CHARAS/El Bohio Community Center

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17TH AT 12 NOON

605 E 9th St between Ave B and C

CHARAS has served the Lower East Side for over 20 years, providing artists space, educational programs, and meeting space for countless neighborhood organizations. The developer is now in foreclosure and it is time to return CHARAS to the community!

The artists come from many different countries including Ukraine, Russia, Italy, France, the UK, the USA, Israel, and Palestine.
The purpose of the show is to demonstrate that all over the world, people of good conscience condemn this invasion.
This art show originated with artists sending each other jpegs that were printed and shown in numerous locations around the world — so that this exhibit has had various manifestations.
