C'est La Vie at Bushwick Open Studios

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh. And on this day finds itself that Memorial Day patriotic wave your flag and have a BBQ for the beginning of summer day in North America that has rolled around again. And today is also Occupy Wall Street Day 255. And Occupy Wall Street and those global revolutions of a movement Occupy Together are still moving fast. And also on this day in that city of New York finds itself a few days before that C'est La Vie group art show that is part of Bushwick Open Studios event is to happen June 1st through 3rd. And I seem to have been in a Bushwick Open Studios mode this past week in posting this Figure Fragments - BOS 2012 event and that ALLTOGETHERNOW event, both of whom find themselves at 234 Starr Street as part of that Bushwick Open Studios also. And as I had blah blaghed before, there seems to be seemingly a bazillion and beyond events taking part of this music and arts festival. And so I managed to get a hold of an advance copy of that Bushwick Open Studios 2012 event program from the Loom and it reads something like the yellow pages it is so thick with over 500 artists registered this year. And so I guess Bushwickeastvillagewilliamsburg is growing and expanding ever eastward on the L train line, or something like that. And for some reason I couldn't think of a web 2.0 social media user generated content catchy photo to place in this blog entry. The only thing constant is change. And so that C'est La Vie Facebook event invite reads something like as follows. Have a great holiday Bushwick and more.

C'est La Vie

June 1 at 6:00pm until June 3 at 9:00pm

950 Hart Gallery is pleased to invite the public to “C’est La Vie”. An art exhibition celebrating life and all of its wonder. This exhibition will feature paintings and sculptures spanning styles from abstract to our signature figurative works.

We are happy to be showing work by Eliot Lable, Joana Ricou, Matthew Mahler, Antoinette Johnson, Michael Kronenberg, Gili Levy, Matthew Brennan and Carla Cubit.

We had our first art opening 18 months ago and for our 27th and final show in this space, we will be showing some of our favorite new additions to the roster as well as old friends.

This is not an end unless one thinks of it as an end to the beginning. We are looking forward to seeing you and visiting with our friends during Bushwick Open Studios 2012. Whatever comes next, we expect that this show will be a wonderful preview into the future.
