Banned Tompkins Square Park t - shirts at a Riot Reunion Show

Banned Tompkins Square Park t shirts at Tompkins Square Park

The New York City Parks Department has banned these Tompkins Square Park t - shirts because of the logo on them.

And I am planning to vend banned Tompkins Square Park t - shirts for $10 each at, well during, the annual Tompkins Square Park riot Reunion anniversary concert August 2nd and 3rd, 2 -6pm.

And check out Andreas Troeger's Our Fucking Park: Rebellion, Noise, and Punk Rock in Tompkins Square Park book! A new photo book of beautiful raw portraits of the artists keeping the music alive—real faces, real noise, shot between 2019 and 2024 in Tompkins Square Park.

This amazing book will be for sale at the SHADOW table at the Shows in Tompkins Square Park.

With bands day 1 and day 2 being L.O.T.I.O.N., Dollhouse, Cruciform, Pure Terror, Decept, Hated, Rebelmatic, Ricanstruction, Future Strangers, Frida Kill, Skitzopolis and Carlos the Chords.

And those are the words I found myself posting on my banned Tompkins Square Park Facebook event invite after I found out that my Tompkins Square Park t - shirts were banned, as in those photos and videos that find themselves posted above..

And Chilis on Wheels and Food Not Bombs served some really good free food on that weekend in the park.

And a host of other Concerts in Tompkins Square Park have taken place this past month in that park as well.

And it is happening a week or so ago when you sell out of Banned Tompkins Square Park t - shirts at Tompkins Square Park at the 37th Annual Tompkins Square Riot Reunion concert at Shows in Tompkins Square Park.

And in other headline news of the day, amongst a bazillion other headlines...

All headlines seem to lead to all things Trump and America, with some of the latest headlines being something about Trump has cancelled all of the wars and the end of the world and has ushered in the golden age and the National Guard has arrived in Washington DC after President Trump's National Guard activation where they are ordered to encamp and report for duty August 11th through September 25th.

And so now Washington DC is what a martial law and a police state looks like. Possibly coming to a city near you.

And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State.

Have a great music, martial law, banned t - shirt day and more. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

Shows in Tompkins Square Park

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh  It's been a while since I last posted anything on this blagh. And so in between watching the world seemingly go to hell in a hand basket these past few days, weeks or months, I found myself attempting to vend those Tompkins Square Park t - shirts and Black Lives Matter jewelry at Tompkins Square Park in that city of New York this past weekend. And according to that Facebook event invite that I created for Chris Flash's next show in Tompkins Square Park, it read something like:

And there are more to be announced!!!!

This amazing book will be for sale at the SHADOW table at the shows in Tompkins Square Park.

The Tompkins Square Park concert that didn't happen

And in the midst of battling big tech social media censorship somewhere in between Facebook and Instagram limiting the amount of political posts that can be seen and tik tok censoring posts that do not follow their narrative, I somehow still find myself being able to blagh on this google blogger somehow after all these years.

And so this post happens to be about a BlacknBlue Productions Tompkins Square Park concert that didn't happen in that alphabet city of New York, a benefit concert for Jesse Malin at Tompkins Square Park, April 27th with Gogol Bordello, Madball, Murphy's Law, The Capturers and more that was cancelled for some reason having to do with the Parks Department and moved to Irving Plaza April 26th with Facebook posts and flyers that read something like as follows:

With a Facebook post by Jesse Malin that says "I’ve been forever grateful  for the New York hardcore community that me and many of my friends grew up in. It’s a scene that is always looked out for each other in hard times but this goes above and beyond. I am so touched by this, it means so much. THANK YOU BlacknBlue Productions Gogol Bordello Murphy's Law James Drescher The Capturers War Orphan and Tompkins Square Park Sweet Relief Musicians Fund".

And so what am I supposed to do with all those Tompkins Square Park t shirts that I was planning to vend at this event that got cancelled? Well I found myself on the southwest corner of that Tompkins Square Park park on Avenue A and East 7th street attempting to vend those t shirts on the day of the concert that didn't happen as in those photos and videos that find themselves posted above.

And in case you may have missed this concert that didn't happen at Tompkins Square Park, there are others shows coming up in Tompkins Square Park that I have come across on Facebook that hopefully will not get cancelled such as:

A Black N' Blue Productions hardcore concert at Tompkins Square Park

There was a hardcore concert at Tompkins Square Park this past weekend, which I thought was actually a punk rock concert or a heavy metal concert or both. And I know that there was a Black N' Blue Productions hardcore concert at Tompkins Square Park this past weekend because this Facebook event invite says so, and all of these news articles that have since appeared as a result of that concert say so also. And it was a really big concert, so big that the crowd of concert goers , some wearing masks and some not wearing masks has since become a big to free your face or not to free your face debate.

And in between attempting to vend those Black Lives Matter I Can't Breathe, Not My President, S#!t Just Got Real, Occupy Wall Street, No Police State, Tompkins Square ParkUnion Square ParkWashington Square ParkMuseum of Reclaimed Urban SpaceThe ShadowFrida Kahlo, Yoga, Brooklyn and I Love New York necklaces, magnets, key chains and pins and Black Lives Matter hats and tote bags at this concert, it was seen that there were many other vendors at this concert, which almost seemed like a festival also.

Someone was handing out Defund The NYPD flyers on Avenue A in front of the park, the Hare Krishnas and Chilis on Wheels were serving food, East River Park Action. band merchandise tables and The Shadow had tables there also and there was even a yard sale going on during this really big concert.

And surely that was Clayton Patterson who was at this concert who finds himself in one of those photos posted above. And thanks @angieisallright for helping me to vend that Black Lives Matter jewelry at that table and chair from morus for one quick second.

And with future Shows in Tompkins Square Park possibly in jeopardy as a result of this really big concert, the concert schedule reads as follows:

"HEY KIDS! Put these TSP show dates for 2021 on your calendar:

 > April 24: BLACK + BLUE PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS: MAD BALL - Murphy's Law - Bloodclot - The Capturers. Donations will be accepted with a portion of the proceeds to go to New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation
 > May 8: A7 BACK TO THE NYHC ROOTS Record Release show: Antidote NYHC - Kings Never Die - The Last Stand - Crazy Eddie - The Car Bomb Parade - Reaching Out
 > May 22: WASTE FEST 2: Brought to you by the fine folks of Urban Waste
> June 13: Sewage, Hammerbrain, Sea Monster and The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, with surprise guests!
> June 26: F-Bomb: Brought to you by Mike SOS
> July 10: F-Bomb: Brought to you by Mike SOS
> August 7 + 8: TSP RIOT REUNION > September 11: F-bomb: Brought to you by Mike SOS
> September 25: Something special brought to you by Black + Blue Productions
 > October 9: F-Bomb: Brought to you by Mike SOS
> October 30: TSP HALLOWEEN show

And, as seen on Reddit:

Finally a solution.

Apparently punk rock stops the spread of Covid.

No masked needed while rocking out.

Everyone looks happy. That is nice

We are living in crazy times. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State. Have a great punk rock hardcore concert day and more. #blacklivesmatter

A Halloween In Tompkins Square Park Day

And so I had said to myself that I had take photos with that camera at that event burnout on that day that I attempted to vend those Black Lives Matter necklaces, magnets, key chains & pins and Black Lives Matter hats at Halloween in Tompkins Square Park! And instead of taking a bunch of photos with that camera that I did not take to that event, instead, it became take a bunch of random photos with that cell phone that I took to this event. And after that Halloween in Tompkins Square Park! ended, and Seth's slideshow began, it became a Halloween night that I ran into Underground Horns who were playing on St Mark's Place, only to read on Facebook later that there was also a dance bus parked on Avenue A, Hungry March Band played, and there was a dance party and bike parade later that Halloween night in Tompkins Square Park.

And Shows in Tompkins Square Park Facebook event invite reads like:

With the exception of a few brave creative souls who have set up independently, we've all been robbed of shows in the park this year. So, on Halloween, we are putting on the biggest one of them all, as our final show for 2020.

In addition to the following performers, we will have political speakers, info tables, publications and arts + crafts created by community members:

> PINC LOUDS
> B.B. YTK
> M. LAMAR
> EDDIE BAKER
> RUCKUS INTERRUPTUS
> THE CARVELS NYC
> SOUL CAKE
> WICKED EXORCIST RITUAL
> THE VOLUPTUOUS HORROR OF KAREN BLACK

Following the show, WW3 ILLUSTRATED co-founder and artist Seth Tobocman will present slides of his anti-Trump comics, with the help of musicians Eric Blitz and John Wagner. Michelle Shocked will perform her blues lament, Graffiti Limbo, honoring the life of Michael Stewart, a young artist who died in police custody in 1983. There were no charges for the murder. R. Sikoryak will read and show images of The Bill of Rights and selected Amendments, from his new graphic novel, Constitution Illustrated.

The fun begins at 1:00pm SHARP!

[Stay tuned here for more details]

If only every day were Halloween then we would be free to be who we want to be.  And as I type this blagh post a few days later after Halloween has passed,  New York City is boarded up again and Luxury retailers are 'planning for the worst' on Election Day in anticipation of riots and looting — no matter the result. Have a great Blogger day, if possible, during these crazy and historical times we are living in. #blacklivesmatter
