It's Beyond Ferguson

And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 1000 and something. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. And in my internetaholicness if I must blogger say, I have been following the headlines news as usual and it seems as if the world is upside down and going to hell in a handbasket sometimes when one reads or hears the headline news. And as I had posted in that previous post before this one,  in case you have been hiding out under a rock or stuck in the stone age or something and haven't heard, #Ferguson, and now Ferguson and beyond is still happening.  And if I must also blogger say, I have been consumed with and following the Peoples Power Assemblies MERGENCY RESPONSE PROTESTS/ACTIONS TO RACIST POLICE BRUTALITY From FERGUSON TO NYC! #SHUTITDOWN! Facebook page lately in an attempt to keep updated when it comes to all things #Ferguson and beyond. And their #BlackLivesMattersNYC #ICantBreathe Organizing Actions and Meetings this week reads like:

OWS OUTREACH

Wednesday December 17 at 5:30pm in EST
In honor of Eric Garner and all those unjustly killed by the police.

Wednesday December 17, 2014 marks 5 months since Eric Garner was killed by the NYPD. As part of #ThisStopsToday #11Days of Action, @ThisStopsToday is calling on people throughout New York City, the United States and the world to join a collective die-in to commemorate the 5-month anniversary of the NYPD murder of Eric Garner and demand justice for all those who have lost their lives to police.

How you and/or your Organization Can Participate in #ThisStopsToday Die-in, Rise up!

• Choose a location, publicize and gather on Weds December 17th at 5:30pm. At 6:00pm, lay still on the ground, in silence, for 7 minutes. Then rise-up to sing this song 11 times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QganWg3WSQ

Current meet-up locations in NYC include:

BROOKLYN - Barclays Center – 620 Atlantic Ave. (near Flatbush Ave.)https://www.facebook.com/events/1041454992550340/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcoming

BRONX - 149th St & Grand Concourse

MANHATTAN - Harlem State Building – 163 West 125th St. (near Adam Clayton Powell Blvd.). https://www.facebook.com/events/767064503374552/

You can add other meet-up locations that you are organizing by submitting to the website at: www.thisstopstoday.org/actionsubmission/

The 12/17 Die-In Rise Up! is part of the #ThisStopsToday #11Days of Action.

Go to ThisStopsToday.org or follow #ThisStopsToday #11Days, and the handle @ThisStopsToday for updates.

And there is also that Hands Up Don't Celebrate Christmas @ Jersey City Mayor's Christmas Concert Facebook event invite I found myself creating in the midst of all of this, because hey, it's in the state of New Jersey.

And then there is this #SHUTITDOWN NATIONWIDE ACTION: DECEMBER 19th Facebook photo that I just came across on Facebook.

And there was the Millions March NYC event that took place across the nation this past week, of which one of the many Youtube videos from that march finds itself posted above.
And again, there are way too many Ferguson Action Network events going on lately, all too numerous to mention in this blog post that have taken place in the New York City area, California and throughout the world the past few weeks, seemingly a bazillion or more and beyond.

And then there is that Reverend Billy And The Stop Shopping Gospel Choir photo of the Statue of Liberty under water with a Manhattan skyline backdrop that I came across in internetland that seems hilarious if it weren't so true with text that reads like:

FIRST THEY CAME FOR THE druggies who tried to make their fantasy economy away from the bigger killers, but I did not speak out, because I'm white with powder cocaine. Then they came for the immigrants, flooded by Clinton's subsidized corn and dragged screaming by ICE from their homes, and I did not speak out, because I'm sitting here waiting for my Mexican cook to bring me my pasta special. Then they came for the poverty-dizzied young from zip codes like Bed-Stuy and the Bronx, fed into the for-profit prison pipeline, and I did not speak out, because where do you start? It's a national operation run by Wall Street. Then one day the Earth came for me, the ocean turned to acid sweeping through the streets, and I cannot protect my family, because America is declared a permanent emergency, and the cops and soldiers are the same guy, jailing us in our upstairs apartment, and no-one is left to speak for me because permits to speak in public are rationed by Chase Bank.

The movement in Ferguson, Mo has called for people across the country to walk out of their jobs, schools and homes starting at 12pmCST in outrage over the murder of #MikeBrown and hundreds of people of color murdered by the police. No Work. No School. No Business As Usual. #SHUTITDOWNNYC against Racism & Police Brutality.

And guns are the worst invention ever. If only guns could be banished from every human being and every form of advertising on earth. No one is free when others are oppressed. "We have seen more fight, more struggle, more unity, more diversity, and more change in the last three days than in the ten years that went before it..." We are living in a rare moment.  Occupy the NRA. And what does this have to do with a No Police State.

Ferguson

And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 1,000 and something. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. And in case you have been hiding out under a rock or stuck in the stone age or something and haven't heard, #Ferguson is happening. And there seems to be a bazillion events, actions and more for Ferguson, too numerous to mention in this blog post. And seemingly a million or more Facebook groups and pages for #blacklivesmatter, #handsupdontshoot #itsbeyondferguson#indictamerica #boycottblackfriday , #handsupdontshop , #handsupwalkout , #stoptheparade and more and now #justiceforericgarner that have been created. And Ferguson Action Network has held many events for Michael Brown and Ferguson, Missouri. And then there is the Peoples Power Assemblies Facebook page whose EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROTESTS/ACTIONS TO THE FERGUSON GRAND JURY! #SHUTITDOWN! Facebook event invite that has Ferguson events and beyond on it. And the description of that Peoples Power Assemblies page and event invite reads as follows:

This page is for the ONGOING EMERGENCY FERGUSON GRAND JURY RESPONSE PROTESTS In NYC and Nationally .

PLEASE IGNORE the SPECIFIC TIMES, DATES and LOCATION of the PAGE - The Events posted to the page are what are CORRECT & RELEVANT
Please feel free to post your anti-police brutality & Ferguson -related actions, photos, videos, events, ideas, etc to this page.

In solidarity with Hands Up UnitedHands Up Don't Shoot Coalition in STL/Ferguson, MO we will continue to call militant, disciplined, direct actions and events to fuel our outrage over the epidemic of the racist police repression, murder and terror that is rampant within communities of color.

Again -Please feel free to post your anti-police brutality & Ferguson -related actions, photos, videos, events, ideas to this page. RIGHT WING RACIST POSTS/TROLLS WILL BE BANNED IMMEDIATELY

This is a NOT just a MOMENT ! We ARE A MOVEMENT!! #INDICTAMERICA
#MikeBrown #TheyThinkItsAGame #BlackLivesMatter

And there was also the People's Power Assemblies event that the New York Post described as a plot against Snoopy.

And there is a MILLIONS MARCH NYC Facebook event invite going on.

And then there is also an Occupy Wall Street #BLACK LIVES MATTER **KEEPING FOCUSED** Justice for Mike Brown and Eric Garner The real problem and looters are on Wall Street! Facebook event invite that has a list of events and actions as follows:
