The Galaxy

And in between my Facebookaholicness, MySpaceaholicness, Twitteraholicness, YouTubeaholicness, Bloggeraholicness, and now Google Plusaholicness and just about any other web 2.0 social media user generated content internetaholicness I can think of, I somehow came across someones post about planets, stars, galaxies and more stars and Mercury and Mars being in retrograde, going around backwards on their axis's or something like that. And objects seem to fall out of the sky, electronics and everything else just doesn't seem to work and relationships and other projects can just go plain wacky to where it can be a great idea to just hide out under a rock until those planets want to go forward again, I think. And so I find myself posting an excerpt from Lynn Koiner' Mars Retrograde 2012 website in an attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blog whenever blaghers block possible.

Mars retrograde 2012

From JANUARY 23 through APRIL 14 2012, the planet Mars will be in retrograde motion. This period is inappropriate for activities requiring the normal flow of Mars initiative. Using the constructive aspects of these transits, it is an excellent time to reinforce some aspect of our lives. This will be shown by the House position of this transit.

When Mars is retrograde, it depletes the vitality so that it is never a time to initiate. Whoever initiates loses— a new project, a great love, an argument, a lawsuit, or an international war. With a new project, it will fizzle out and never really go anywhere. With a hot romance, it too fizzles and it rarely gets to the alter. With an argument, the hostility will come back to haunt you later. In legal matters, stoke your opponent into initiating the lawsuit first. It will be etched in granite that they will lose. In an international war, whoever fires first will automatically lose or ultimately withdraw. Matters commenced while Mars is retrograde will be frustrated and plagued with disruptions until they finally fizzle out. At this time, people become irritated when activities do not run smoothly. The anger may disrupt indirectly and inappropriately – like getting a traffic ticket when you feel annoyed with your job.

During this cycle, never buy anything mechanical unless it is heavily insured! Office machinery and computers easily break down. A friend who owned a word processing service found this period to always be a disaster. During one retrograde cycle, the printer, the back-up printer and the rented printer all failed to work. When they finally got one that worked, the mailing labels printed but there was no ink! I often notice that the world needs a brake job when Mars in retrograde.

Those who have Aries or Scorpio strong in their horoscopes are dramatically affected by this shift in direction of their natural ruler. For Arians, they find themselves being less aggressive, less pushy and less impatient to have THEIR WAY in a situation. Both Mars-ruled types find themselves more inclined to sit back and review matters in a more detached or impersonal way. They feel more patient to wait on circumstances to unfold before they take action. These individuals may not recognize the anger they feel inside. They may express an unusual passiveness while under fire because they need too much processing time before they can retaliate. Only when Mars turns direct can they move the Mars energy forward.

For those who are NOT ruled by Mars, it may feel quite differently. They may feel more impatient to force matters to a conclusion, to get a project going or to take immediate action. This would be an unwise course of action! Remember, initiating or impulsively taking action will not work to your favor.

In GOOD DAYS ACTION PLANNING GUIDE, Mary Shea describes an ideal way to handle Mars retrograde. “You go back over situations (either in your mind or in reality), doing things again and again while making corrections in the way you handle events. While Mars is retrograde, you will be reviewing the way you handle anger, self-defense, self-motivation and sexual relationships… outward anger or conflicts may not be appropriate.” She rightfully feels that using passive-aggressive techniques, manipulation, arbitration or subtle power plays may be more appropriate at this time. “If you are normally non-assertive, you may be forced to defend yourself. Whatever your tactics, you must give thought to what you are doing. If your tactics do not work or they are inappropriate to the situation, your anger will continue to build while Mars is retrograde. You can expect the anger to manifest full-blown by the time Mars turns direct. If you have seriously wronged or angered another with…acts of aggression, you can expect the backlash as Mars turns direct.”

When the 1997 Retrograde got underway in Libra and Virgo, I noticed that non-aggressive types seemed to now be intolerant of lazy people who waste their time. They were not willing to take action and eliminate the non-essential personnel. One Pisces man felt that it was a bad time for employees when it was actually a time when he had grown intolerant of intolerable work practices by irresponsible workers. In 1999, with Mars in Scorpio and Libra, I met many people from my past, people whom I had not seen in a long time. The connections were temporary. I found myself dealing with manipulative emotional outbursts in others but I reacted with calmness and just listened to what they had to say. In 2001, there were daily accidents on our Beltway, tying up traffic for miles. Other cities reported the same. McVeigh’s execution was postponed exactly as Mars went Retrograde which put the spotlight on John Doe #3 and #4 and a possible cover-up conspiracy.

When Mercury went Retrograde with Mars, a US and a British missile crashed upon launching. In 2003, at its Station, there was an unsuccessful coup in the Philippines. There were many terrorists bombings, including the bombing of the UN headquarters in Baghdad. There were several oustings, referendums and resignations of political leaders during this cycle.

An Occupy Wall Street Quote

And on this day finds itself another one of those Sundays that has rolled around. The day of the sun, the day of rest. Or is that Saturday, the Sabbath. And yet I find myself blah blogging away for some reason or another. The only thing constant is change and some stories do not end as you expect. And unless you have been stuck in the stone age or under one of those rocks the past few months, one must have heard of Occupy Wall Street by now, that global revolution of a movement. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast. And in my travels throughout internetland on this day I came across one of those George Orwell quotes for this movement, and 2011, 12 = 1984, and also a Martin Niemoller quote that finds itself quoted for this Occupy Wall Street movement on this Occupy Wall Street day whose Martin Niemoller sermons quote title that seems to be called "First They Came", reads something like as follows:

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak out because I was Protestant.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Als die Nazis die Kommunisten holten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Kommunist.

Als sie die Sozialdemokraten einsperrten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Sozialdemokrat.

Als sie die Gewerkschafter holten,
habe ich nicht protestiert;
ich war ja kein Gewerkschafter.

Als sie die Juden holten,
habe ich geschwiegen;
ich war ja kein Jude.

Als sie mich holten,
gab es keinen mehr, der protestierte.
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me -
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

Other translations or variants:

In Germany, they came first for the Communists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;
And then they came for the trade unionists, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;
And then they came for the Jews, And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;
And then . . . they came for me . . . And by that time there was no one left to speak up.
Twenty-five years later Niemöller indicated that this was the version he preferred, in a 1971 interview.
When the Nazis came for the communists,
I did not speak out;
As I was not a communist.

When they locked up the social democrats,
I did not speak out;
I was not a social democrat.

When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
As I was not a trade unionist.

When they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
As I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.
When the Nazis arrested the Communists,
I said nothing; after all, I was not a Communist.
When they locked up the Social Democrats,
I said nothing; after all, I was not a Social Democrat.
When they arrested the trade unionists,
I said nothing; after all, I was not a trade unionist.
When they arrested me, there was no longer anyone who could protest.
First the Nazis came…
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me —
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State.

Brother's Teasing

Thanks for the guest post by Jonathan Curtis

My brother is always teasing me about how addicted I am to technology. I hate to admit that was kind of right because I always have the best TV, the newest tablet, and my cell phone is second to none. You know when you see pictures of people standing in line outside the Apple Store? That's like what I do. I went out in the middle of nowhere and was going through some serious Internet withdrawal until he told me about Hughesnet Internet which it turns out I get access to even all the way up here at my house. It's been really great finally having Internet at home with you because I usually spent 2 to 3 hours a day when I was at work just catching up on things I needed to do online like paying bills and e-mailing friends and family. My productivity had gone way down so this is a really good solution for me and for my boss! I can always count on my brother to have the solution.

An Online Act

First NDAA and now this. Is 2011, 2012 starting to look like 1984 or something? Now I'm not exactly sure what this SOPA, Stop Online Piracy Act thing is all about, though this Sopa Strike thing sure finds itself in the headline news a lot lately and also finds itself posted in that photo above that has something do with censorship of the internet. And that newspaper headline reads something like "Web Goes On Strike! January 18th, 2012 is the largest online protest in history, to stop the internet censorship bills that seem to have something to do with taking away those websites online that someone does not like or agree with that calls itself SOPA and PIPA. Join by blacking out your site and urging everyone you can reach to contact congress now. And what if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State?

A Day Of Martin Luther King, Jr

And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 122. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together are still moving fast. And on this day finds itself as Martin Luther King, Jr's birthday, that civil rights leader of long lore ago. And there seems to be a ton of memorials, tributes and rallies for him on this day. And reading the texts and excerpts from his many speeches seem inspirational that we shall overcome someday. "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!" - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Walgreens

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Walgreens.  And I have heard of that store throughout my travels here on planet earth, as it seems as if I see those stores on what seems like every other corner, or at least a lot of neighborhoods here in this city of New York.  And I would imagine that Walgreens is to be found throughout all of those other cities in that country of North America as well.  And so I find myself blogging about  Walgreens and Express Scripts and   Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens on this blogging day.  And Walgreens is asking customers to show their support for Walgreens as Express Scripts are no longer at Walgreens pharmacies nationwide or Duane Read pharmacies in the New York City area anymore.  Tricare, a prescription drug program for the military has been affected also and Walgreens is offering a discount with its Prescription Savings Club to help with discounts.  And if you happen to be looking to support Walgreens, or information about how to support them, you can find Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook as well at those social network website where everyone networks. And now with the invention of all things internet, supporting Walgreens has never been easier.

Buddha

And somehow I came across that photo of the Buddha that finds itself posted above throughout my internet travels on this day. And that buddha seems to be a cool looking spiritual, yoga, nirvana image indeed, or something like that. And that caption that came with that photo described itself as "The Tiantan Buddha on Lantau Island is the largest seated bronze Buddha in the world. Freedom of religion is one of the basic rights enjoyed by the people of Hong Kong, protected by the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and related laws." And that photo above seems to Buddha, buddhism, hindu, meditation, peace, ohm shanti, Siddhārtha Gautama speak for itself. Have a great buddha and more day.

The Bank

And if I must blogger say on this blogging day, the topic of banks sure has been in the news a lot lately these days and times when it comes to money, money and more money, with Wall Street being occupied and the economy seeming as if it wants to have one of those everything must go going out of business sales. And so I find myself blogging about the phrases chemical m&a, chemical investment banking and chemical mergers and acquisitions for some reason or another. And so what else is there that I can say about finance and business that has not already been said in finance and business blogger time. Well, if you happen to be looking for some Expert Chemical M&A Advisors, theValenceGroup has them. And in all blogger honesty, I am not exactly sure what M&A Advisors are, though if you happen to be looking for them or information about them, theValenceGroup has them. And with that recession, impending depression that finds itself in the headline news a lot lately when it comes to the economy, it seems as if investment banking could be something that one would want invest in. And you can also read some Chemical M&A News at their website as well with topics about the MarketWatch and more. And now with the invention of all things online just about everything, one can find that investment with just a website visit away.

A Symbol

And somehow I came across this posting about swastikas throughout my internet travels in facebookland on this day. And I think that some people aren't aware that the swastika originates from a Hindu symbol, the Fylfot Cross. And the swastika is simply the Hindu, Himalayan and Brhamanist symbol for the wheel of life. the Nazis turned it around. The swastika can have many different meanings (the sun, the four directions, changes in the seasons, peace, and others, including Native American, Hindu, Buddhist, Celtic and Pagan traditions. And so I thought to post some of what that Symbol Dictionary website says in my attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blog whenever web 2.0 social media user generated content blaghers block possible. Have a great Fylfot Cross day and more.

The swastika is an archetypal, universal human religious symbol. It appears on every continent and is as old as humankind. A marker of the sun’s travels, it can be seen on Pictish rock carvings, adorning ancient Greek pottery, and on ancient Norse weapons and implements. It was scratched onto cave walls in France seven thousand years ago. A swastika marks the beginning of many Buddhist scriptures, and is often incised on the soles of the feet of the Buddha in statuary. In the Jain religion, the swastika is a symbol of the seventh Jina (Saint), the Tirthankara Suparsva. To Native Americans, the swastika is a symbol of the sun, the four directions, and the four seasons.

Geometrically, the swastika is a type of solar cross, with arms bent at right angles, suggesting a whirling or turning motion. Long before the symbol was co-opted as an emblem of Hitler’s Nazi party, it was a sacred symbol to Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist religions, as well as in Norse, Basque, Baltic, and Celtic Paganism. The name Swastika is derived from the Sanskrit language, from “su,” meaning “good,” and “vasti”,” meaning “being” (together; well being) In India, it is used as a fertility and good luck charm. The right turning Indian swastika symbolizes the sun and positive energy, and is most commonly associated with the deity Ganesh, a God of prosperity and wealth. Some Indians regard an anti-clockwise swastika as an opposing, dark force- a symbol of the godess Kali. Together, the two can be regarded as symbolically similar to the Yin Yang symbol of Taoism, or the two Pillars of Kabbalah. The swastika is also known for its uses in heraldry as the tetraskelion- the fylfot cross (fylfot meaning ‘four feet,’ a term used in european heraldry), the cross gammadion (because it resembles four greek letter ‘gammas.’), and the hakenkreutz (German, hooked cross).

The swastika used in Buddhist art and scripture is known as a Manji, and represents Dharma, universal harmony, and the balance of opposites. When facing left, it is the Omote (front) Manji, representing love and mercy. Facing right, it represents strength and intelligence, and is called the Ura (rear facing) Omoje. Balanced Manji are often found at the beginning and end of buddhist scriptures. You can read more about Manji here. In pre-Christian Pagan Europe, the swastika was generally a solar symbol, but in many cases, its use dates so far back in history that its original meaning is obscured. In Baltic regions, the swastika is sometimes called the “thunder cross,” and is associated with the Thunder God Perkons (Perkunis):

Reflect This

Hey yet again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blog. And so on this blogging day I find myself blogging about the phrase oleophobic coating for some reason or a blogging another. And what exactly an oleophobic coating is, I am not exactly sure, though Zenni Optical has it, as that oleophobic coating seems to have something to do with a new anti reflective coating for eyeglasses that repels water, oil, dust and fingerprints. Now that's a new invention for opticals interesting. And in case you haven't heard, you can buy eyeglasses and prescription eyeglasses at their website in many different styles, shapes and designs for less expensive prices than brand name eyeglasses that include middlemen and other overhead prices with free shipping for orders over $50. One can find eyeglasses in different colors such as brown, black, blue, clear and more and holiday themed frames as well at their website. And all of their glasses include anti scratch coating, protective cases, cleaning cloths and more. And that AR coating on those eyeglass lenses must be some invention as it reflects overhead light and more. And now with the invention of all things internet, finding those oleophobic coating eyeglasses can be just a website visit away.

A 2012 Year Of The Dragon

And on this blogging day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 116. And Occupy Wall Street and that global revolution of a movement Occupy together are still moving fast. The year of 2012 has arrived and if you ask a Mayan, it's 2012AD or that 13.0.0.0.0 baktun thing, a doomsday end of the world long countdown for the Maya 2012 calendar that started on Winter Solstice December 21st. And it's also the year of the dragon that will arrive on February 4, 2012 according to that Chinese Zodiac, Horoscope. And the year of the dragon reads something like, "According to Chinese Five Element Astrology Calendar, 2012 is the year of water dragon. The color of Water in Five Elements system is related to Black. Therefore we can say 2012 is a Black Dragon, Water Dragon or Black Water Dragon year. Dragon is a legendary animal and it is symbol of emperor in China. Since the Dragon is coated with mysterious color, Chinese consider that the dragon is unpredictable, untouchable and people cannot see its head and tail at the same time. Therefore, we can might see something unexpected happening in 2012. Also a person with too many dragons in the Chinese astrology birth chart will become smarter, sly and unpredictable in the coming year.

2010 was the Year of White Tiger and is the beginning year of the Wood cycle. 2011 was the Year of White Rabbit and is the middle year of the Wood cycle. The Dragon of 2012 is the last year of the Wood cycle. Dragon is the transition year to the Fire Cycle. The energy of Wood is in the East side. The energy of Fire is in the South side. We never know what will happen when turning from East to South. That's another sign of unpredictable Dragon year. You can have either good luck or bad luck in 2012, and will have a chance to turn it into better or worse luck.
Before predicting your luck in 2012, you have to know what Type of Element you are and what your Lucky Element is from your astrology birth chart. The Lucky Element is the major factor to determine people's fortune. 2012 is the Year of Black Water Dragon, which contains Earth, Water and Wood. If your Lucky Element is Earth, Water or Wood, then 2012 will bring you some degree of luck. Since 2012 is Water Dragon, people whose lucky element is Water will benefit more in 2012. Fire is the opposite element of Water. People whose lucky element is Fire will have more impact in 2012.
Have a great 2012 year of the dragon.

Hope You Don't Get Indefinitely Detained

And today finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 109. And Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together those global revolutions, are still moving fast. And it's 2012 this AD year, an awakening, a time for change. And somehow I came across that photo that finds itself posted above throughout my internet travels on this web 2.0 social media user generated content day. And that Hope You Don't Get Indefinitely Detained NDAA, National Defense Authorization Police State Martial Law Draconian of an Act law photo that finds itself posted above seems to speak for itself. This Act was signed quietly this past New Years Eve violating what little trust remained between the people and their established government. And what does this have to do with a No Police State.
