De Tech

And while I am on the topic of tech and Internet, is it possible to de tech ones lives. As I am still finding myself in need on an anti Internet get sleep soon routine with computer overload and everything computer sometimes. And what about all of those other high tech electronic gadgets and devices that are easy to get addicted to these days, or at least easy to use a lot these days. What about those iPods, answering machines, crackberry blackberries, DVD's, CD's, VHS's, Cassettes, robots, touch screens, voice prompts, hardware, software and the age of The Jetsons cartoon show everywhere. What will happen if I try and go a day without using them, will the world end? Will I start suffering withdrawal of some sort. How was life before the invention of all of these high tech devices that are so much a part of life these days. I imagine books, television, radio and lots of campfires were the method of entertainment is prehistoric before the invention of the Internet times. And what about shopping, is it possible to stop shopping altogether. What about over consumerism consumer consuming everything and go green thing in this disposable everthing material society one lives in concept. It's like Babylon, Babylon, and more Babylon. And how exactly does one stop shopping; throw away the credit cards, recycle, barter, trade, have nothing? Is that a question for Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Choir? That can be a whole another blog posting. Have a great day.
